The problem with calling back competent international players from their respective clubs to form a national team is their dependence on individual performance over team work. Team collaboration hardly work in such set ups, it only takes nice coaches to rearrange the mindset of players from different clubs to play as one team. Vini is already known for this kind of play at Madrid, which centers fully on individual game play, Brazil could have a hard time proceeding to the next stage of this competition, if they fail to work hand in hand with one another.

The current Portugal squad is actually quite mature and good because Ronaldo no longer has to carry it alone like he did in his younger days. Furthermore, he doesn't need to play the full game in any match because there are plenty of substitutes in the current Portugal squad. In terms of level, this is actually quite normal for Ronaldo, as he has appeared in six different World Cups, so he understands the level of pressure involved.

I'd like to clarify that when Ronaldo was young, Portugal had a golden team from Figo's generation (which, unfortunately, never won anything). Then, when Ronaldo became a machine, Portugal had a much weaker team, but they won titles. Now that Ronaldo is old, Portugal has a stellar team again  I wonder if Ronaldo curses this timing or is philosophical about it? At this World Cup, the team will naturally pull him through, and not the other way around. We'll see how successfully.

Brazil has very talented players and Morocco is well experienced in world cup so it was a fair match. Brazil has very talented players than Morocco so I was expecting them to perform better against Morocco. on the other hand, Morocco side played well, their perform well and their experience in the last world cup really boosted their confidence against brazil.  Morocco and Scotland are my favourite in the group,I don't think brazil will progress farther from the group although they have more quality players than the rest of the teams but they don't know how to manage them effectively. So I doubt if they can make it out from the group or progress far in this world cup.

Is he a philosophical guy to begin with? I find it hard to believe someone would dislike if they got a stronger team, as long as they're cohesive. After all you have more chance to win titles if you're surrounded by great players. I can't imagine how tiring it would be if every match demands a player to be the difference. Maybe it would feel great for 5 years or so, but I bet it won't be fun if you're 30+ y.o.

It's very poor start for Turkey but it's a perfect match for Australia as in the other matches, Australian players will not have such high goal scoring ability. This match is simply a match for Australia so their players scored goals in most of chances they had. With Turkey and Montella, I don't know why they did not use Kenan Yildiz at the match start, because he is a very good attacking player.

As many people have said, I think the coach is to be blamed here because, Turkey have more than enough potential to win Australia, but I seriously don’t understand his lineup for that match and I was really surprised when I saw Yildiz not in the starting line up, he later played him as a substitute but after they were one goal down.

Australia utilised their opportunities and sealed this victory and their defense was really solid throughout the game and it will be a really good motivation for them in their upcoming games.

Morocco really performed very good against Brazil and the game was very tough so I can’t blame Brazil from drawing the match both team do there best in the pitch. With how I so Brazil game against Morocco I don’t think they can go far in the WC this time around because Brazil have more good players then Morocco but they failed to challenge them well. Anceloti need to change is information next match because there game was very bad because the fans wish to better from them but they fail and share the points together with Morocco. Brazil seems not to be in their good football form these days compared to the days of Ronaldo Carlos,Ronaldinho etc The current Brazil squad are just losing it, they are not just up to the standards of real Brazilian football spirit back in the days, they are just not as football sophisticated as the past era. Guys, it seems Curaçao didn't leave anyone on the island because if you look around, the stadium is full of people from Curaçao. I really like this Caribbean country's joy and excitement. Even though they're facing one of the toughest teams in Europe, they're excited about it. Facing Germany, with so much history and as world champions, is no small feat; it's something any player would want to experience.

Curaçao is a very small inland, and considering the amount of people who are filling that stadium, it would be safe to assume an important percentage of their population is enjoying the cup world in north America.

Also, Curaçao is an island with a very high standard of living, thanks to them being a tiny island with a high standard of living, I would not be surprised most of the population of that country have enough money to pay for the travel and accomodations to enjoy the world cup in north America.

I would have not expected Curaçao to have been able to score against Germany, keeping in mind Germany is one of the favorites to win this world cup and Curaçao has never been specially recognized by their prowess in Football.

USA played wonderful, there is no denying that. But once again we have seen Americans being obnoxious whenever they win anything, even a small game. I mean this team is automatically there, not like they deserved it, but on top of that they are not facing anyone decent, doubt USA would have the qualifying enough if they had to face European teams.

But on top of that, they are acting as if they already won the world cup after winning against Paraguay out of all teams. Don't get me wrong, great game, kudos for getting a great victory, but for the love of god, just calm down, it's one game, and not against any team that is high up the list.

USA completely smashed Paraguay with a 4-1 victory in their World Cup opener. In the first half USA completely dominated with 72% of the possession and Bobadilla made an early mistake and scored an own goal in the 7th minute which gives the USA more confidence. Balogun scored a brace 31st and added minutes of the first half 45+5 for the USA. In the second half Paraguay fought back and only managed to get 41% of the possession, 0.41 xG ,1 big chance created and scored in the 73rd minute by  Mairicio  but the USA didn't let it go and scored the 4th in the added minutes of the second half 90+8 by Reyna . Balogun was named as player of the match for USA for his WC debut brace.

Ok, nthis is the Germany we need to be seeing in all games they play especially against a smaller side but come to think of it, isn't Germany allowing Curacao to see more of the ball even if the ball possession is not closer, I would love to see a more dominating game in the second half, pushing the Curacao defense back into their own box. It is 3-1 currently but I must give it to Curacao for fighting hard to get a goal, it wasn't easy to get into the box of the German side, first goal of the FWC and only if they had more experienced players I believe this encounter would have been a little bit in their favor, at least the touches and attacking force would have been more brilliant, let's see what they can offer in the second half with 2 goals down.

It is 4-1 now. But Curacao playing too. It is not easy to play with Germany who was one time World Champion and scored them one goal. You are right. Brazil fans are very upset after watching their first match. There are several reasons for that, but we have to remember that the World Cup does not run with emotion. It comes every four years, so the players have to give their best. Each of the Brazilian players has earned the reputation of star players. But if you consider the team without individual achievements, this type of game does not suit the Brazilian team.

Morocco is a strong team, they started attacking quickly from the start of the match. There are also a few strategies in Morocco's attack. They tried to attack by changing their strategy repeatedly. After a few attacks, Morocco got their desired result. But Brazil was not able to receive the ball properly by then. In the 32nd minute, Brazil was able to score a goal due to the individual skill of Vinicius Junior. Although Brazil was able to organize themselves in the second half of the match, the result was not satisfactory according to the team. It is hoped that Brazil will realize their mistakes and give a good game later. Otherwise, it will not be easy to fulfill their dream of winning the World Cup in 2026.
