But two African teams going to the semis is a bit too much.

Spain is drawing 0-0, Portugal and France won but could not dominate at all, this is the chaos of the normal group stage.
I would not call this a sign that Africa will rule.

If I recall correctly only one African team has ever made it to the semi finals. That was Senegal, in 2002.
I think Europe and South America will dominate this World Cup too.

Yeah, I also lost a few confirmed matches at the beginning of the tournament, but I think it is better to bet on small stakes on realistic outcomes. I would not load heavy cash on African teams for the knockout stage right now

England vs. Croatia match was a very enjoyable and high-quality game. Croatia, after twice falling behind, managed to equalize and finished the first half 2-2. Bellingham made it 3-2 at the start of the second half. Croatia then fought for an equalizer, but their defense was exposed, and England capitalized on this to make it 4-2.

England will finish as group leaders, but I think Croatia will also advance to the next round. Croatia's squad is largely composed of older players, which is their biggest handicap.

The match is over, and the result didn’t live up to expectations. Portugal, the favorite in this match, was held to a draw by the DR Congo team. On the other hand, it must be acknowledged that their defense was very difficult to break through, moreover, in my observation, Portugal played at a fairly slow pace.

And that's one special thing about football. People or fans might conclude before the game, and then end up seen another episode altogether. Who would have thought that it will end in a draw, or even a 1:1 draw. I believe it will be hard for people to even accept the fact that DR Congo can even score a goal against the Portuguese, but the end result says it all.

 My point here is the fact that Portugal couldn't win there first match against Congo, whom everybody saw as a win win match for the Portuguese. Football always have a story to tell, and the more people watch football with an open heart, not having that complete feeling or confidence that this team will win, then we may watch football with less stress and have a better mental health while enjoying the game of football. Democratic Republic of Congo scored their first goal in the World Cup today, drawing 1-1 with Portugal.
They participated in the 1974 World Cup as Zaire, but at that time they failed to score a single goal and finished with 0 points in their group after 3 defeats.
Today they scored their first goal and earned their first point.

Joao Neves played very well for Portugal and scored a header despite his 1.71-meter height. Ronaldo stayed on until the end of the match but was ineffective.
Bernardo Silva also had a very poor first half, and Portugal's coach substituted him in the second half.

Norway does look like the dark horse of this cup, while I do not think that they are going to win it all, I would not be shocked about a semi finals that nobody gives them a chance to reach. They are not in the top four teams for this cup if you look at the odds, but you could see that there are some teams they can beat in the top four, Spain failed to win as we have seen , so there is a chance, if Cape Verde can get a draw, Norway on a good day could get a win.

This is why I think it is clear that we may end up with something that is quite possibly good for them. I know this is not easy to accept for many people, but these type of things do happen and Norway could shock the world and could make this work somehow.

I watched the highlights of the Uzbekistan vs. Colombia match. I can say it was a good match. Unfortunately, due to the time difference, we don't have the opportunity to watch some matches live. When I do get the chance, I have to settle for highlights. Many people in Europe are in the same situation as me.

Fayzullayev scored Uzbekistan's first goal in the World Cup. Colombia dominated the first half in particular. Uzbekistan found the equalizer in the second half, but shortly after, Colombia took the lead 2-1 with Diaz.

The last 2-3 minutes of the match were very exciting. The referee's influence was also a factor in Colombia's third goal. Referees from other countries (especially those in Türkiye) would have immediately called a foul, but Anthony Taylor let the game continue, and Colombia scored.
In the last minute, Uzbekistan's shot hit the crossbar. That was a fantastic moment.

The referee's camera showed replays of the incident twice in this match. It was great that it gave the viewers on TV the feeling of being in the game. I wish similar things happened in our league matches in Turkey.

What else do we need to end this argument between Messi and Ronaldo? Last night should have been the last time we compare both players because if you all watch the game you'd see that Messi did not just play the game of football but he carried everyone along or is there anything more to say about this guy?

I am already seeing Ronald fans still supporting Ronaldo by saying "it took Ronaldo becoming 40+ years old before Messi is better" and acting like Messi wasn't good before, and only playing better now because Ronaldo is 41 years old, and before this world cup Ronaldo was always better and Messi only looks better NOW.

This is not the case, ever since they both started playing, Messi was better but of course they will not accept that. We have to realize, if a dude scored 90+ goals in a year, that's just proof that nobody is better, and he ain't even a striker.

Their strength is in the attack you can spot two of the best attackers in Europe Haaland and Sørloth, then a playmaker like Ødegaard that controls the Midfield, it's why Iraq didn't stand a chance and concede lots of goals but their group ain't that easy that they'll be able to win it all, they still have Senegal and France to deal with.

 My guess is that they'll lose to France and either win or draw Senegal, the team i expect to reach the Semifinals in Group I is France. Well there's a possiblity for anything to happen and i won't be suprised if Norway qualifies with first position in their group and reach the  Quaterfinals, yes I said Quaterfinals cause am not expecting them to reach Semi's.

A clear indication that Croatia is no match for England, despite the fact that people are talking more of France team, Portugal team, Argentina team, and Germany team, let's not also forget that England also has what it takes to win it, just look at the England squad there's a bit confidence in them also, and again I think Manchester United should have a rethink about Marcus Rashford, that boy is really something else, they should really have a rethink because Marcus Rashford could be of help to the team come next season.

Football in Africa has developed immensely in recent years, and African teams are now often coached by experienced Europeans. The competition to qualify for the World Cup is incredibly high there. I can easily see an African team making it to the semifinals, but in my view, having two African teams in the semifinals won't happen. No matter how much the level of football in Africa has risen, it is still a long way off the European or South American standard. Judging by the first round of the World Cup, the African sides are looking decent, but there are still two rounds left, and only after they are played can we truly assess the real strength of the African national teams.

Another thing that was killing African football in the international space was the referees. But as the referring system is getting better the real talent of the players is coming up greatly. Even apart from European coaches. Even the African indigenous coaches are also doing well now. As we can see, Senegal is coaching by African. Portugal national football team played very well against DR Congo national football team but that team could not win this match as they could not do more goals in this match. Neves was a person who did first goal of the match and he did this goal at 6 minutes when it was need of the team and that team applied pressure from the start of the match. Wissa was a person who did second goal of the match and he did this goal at 50 minutes when it was need of the match and no other player of that team did another goal in this match. That match was organized in the Houston Stadium, Houston and  no team could successful in their mission in this match due to good surface

SA played pretty well , have to say it because they did very well against a side that played like they were leading by 3 goals. Even if I don't want SA to get anything in this game it doesn't stop me from saying that they gave Czech Republic a tough time, it was a game that should have ended in a 2-3nil but Czech Republic was feeling too relaxed and that has been the problem of almost all the big side in this World Cup games. Leading by a goal doesn't make you the winner of the game, South Africa was very hungry and desperate if not they would have gotten more than a goal in this encounter. This is the last chance they had to stay in this World Cup and they got the needed 1pt, the question is can SA beat South Korea on the last group stage game?

After Czech scored an early goal to take the lead, I thought they were going to win the match. Too bad the match ended in a draw. I wanted South Africa to lose the match. They would have been the first African side to be knocked out of the WC. Now, they have to battle it out with South Korea, but I'm not sure they can secure a win, which is what they need to get to the next round.

I don't have much expectations from any African team when in the other end, we have more of African players that are playing for non African countreis. France for example have more African players but they were born and brought up in their countries, they represent them and don't want to have anything to do with their root but I can't blame them, everyone want a better life, if they are here they probably might bot even be consider to represent their country.

The way African countries have represented this tournaments is not bad, at least for the clubs that has done better and not lose any of their match. Senegal and South Africa are the team that have disappointed but South Africa is the first team I'm seeing the early sign of going home. I'm the opening match, Bafanabafana were not organized, they played independently and were not communicating with each other, the today's game is also poorly executed.

My first prediction entered today and I am waiting for the second prediction though I didn't use money today but just for argument prediction and I still believing the other two games to enter.
