Congratulations on winning your bet. I gave you a merit because it’s not so common to see people on this board post they bet slips but they always claim to be the winning. Norway was my favorite to win even though many didn’t believe they could beat Brazil. When you consider the individual brilliance of Haaland, his physical dominance and skill, it’s hard not to pick Norway as your winners.

I’ve seen a few of them too, they don’t actually have the ticket, they’re just making claims so they can join the discussion. As for Norway, I view them as a team that is vastly underrated. Giving them +1 handicap feels like an insult to me, so I’m challenging myself to place that bet. Finally, they proved that what the majority thought was wrong.

I don’t think Norway and Brazil have the same chances in this match because, in my opinion, Brazil is slightly more favored since overall their strength is a bit better compared to Norway, although we can’t deny that in football and big matches anything can happen and surprises are not impossible.

I hope you have seen it all. Your analysis was purely of Brazil of 10 to 20 years back and not the Brazil of this current tournament. If they do not prepare well, their performance in the next World Cup will be worse than this. As you can see, teams that has not been in the world cup are doing great in their first World Cup. And next World Cup will be tougher for many strong teams. You see how Cabo Verde deal with Argentina and that shows that if Norway meet Argentina, the result will not be good for them.

The Brazil verses Norway game is one that had an unexpected outcome, and it destroyed something that was going very good for me, infact, that match was the only match that ended an 11 leg parley I had running for more about or since 5 days before the Brazil verses Norway match was played.

The bet ticket had 522 odds, that would have been a good profit for me, but unfortunately, ten legs won perfectly, but only the Norway and Brazil game ended the ticket and sent it to a loss..
This is one of the reasons why we shouldn't always depend on the favourite to win when it comes to football, it is always possible for anything to happen, an underdog every one expect not to win can come up to beat the favorite everyone is expecting to win.. Guimares must have been psychologically devastated after taking and missing the penalty. Considering Brazil's elimination and early exit from the tournament, he will be a player who feels guilty about it. He absolutely should have converted the penalty. However, failing to do so allowed Norway to capitalize on their opportunities and play a great match against Brazil. Haaland, with his two beautiful goals, became joint top scorer of the tournament and once again delivered a magnificent performance.

We all witnessed how Brazil were shockingly eliminated by Norway yesterday and today, there's another big game that can go either way. Cristiano Ronaldo's dream to win the FIFA World Cup is still alive but his Portuguese side will be facing Spain tonight. Spain though has been decent with their results in this tournament but I don't think they've been convincing enough especially against a top team like Portugal but should their star players perform at their best, I think they have all it takes to beat Portugal.

This Brazil under performance in the world cup started few world cup ago. Brazil use to be a very strong and tough team to play against because of the quality of players they have and they have been producing these players yet they are not doing any better. It was really a shame to see that Norway defeated Brazil in the quarter finals, they really need to change if at all they can. What I'm so much interest at now is the fact that 3 players has tied in goals.

I don't know if the news about Neymar retiring from the international games is true but what happened yesterday is enough to discourage him. I think I agree with you on the fact that Brazil didn't really play well but this doesn't mean that Neymar didn't put in his best, this is actually what's heartbreaking for him.

He is just 34 and that does not mean that he wouldn't be able to play the next world cup when he would be 38 year.
The same thing that people speculated that Messi and Rolando will not be able to play the next world cup which is this year 2026 world cup. These players are playing very well and they are well confused to make sure there country wins.

After the miss, it was still 0-0. Brazil was still in the making. They were not broken yet. The actual moment was when ancelotti replaced guimaraes at 79 minutes. That is the man that keeps the midfield together. It is the one player that might be able to take the ball when the pressure is on and not hand it right back off to norway! Brazil vs Norway will be interesting to watch. I honestly think Norway will defeat Brazil as they progress to the quarter-finals. Erling Haaland is in great form, and their captain, Odegaard, has also stepped up. Brazil, on the other hand, still rely on Vinicius to be outstanding. In the last match, they managed to get a win through Martinelli. It is going to be different with Norway. Norway has a goal-scoring machine in Haaland. Well, for me, I can't wait to see another episode of Gabriel vs Haaland  .

Haaland is now joint top goal scorer with Mbappe and Messi after scoring a brace against Brazil .66% possession, 1.05xG, 3 big chances created and 9 total shots all of Norway's hardwork paid off when Haaland scored the first goal in the 79th minute beautiful header and second when he took strike and completed his brace in the 90th minute. Croatia is the most underestimated team of all times. Whenever a team like Portugal or any other team with one star in their lines is against them, too many people think Croatia is doomed to lose. it has never been like that. Croatia has results while so called top teams fail to qualify.  I am sad that this is the end for international Modric. He was the biggest reason, but whole Croatia team was a joy and will be a joy. I think that if Croatia had played against Colombia instead of Portugal, Croatia would have advanced, because they are far superior to them. However, that's football. Portugal and Colombia got the toughest draw in the World Cup, while other teams had the easy path. Sometimes these things are impossible to avoid. I think the final was even rigged; sometimes I think that. The irregularities in the World Cup are quite blatant.

I generally agree with you that there are easier paths and more difficult paths, but when you consider how France played against Paraguay or Argentina had to go the extra mile, I don't know whether there are really easier paths.

The circumstances under which Croatia got eliminated were unbelievable. It was an intense emotional drama and I was sad for Modric because in my opinion he is one of the most likeable players ever. Now his career in the national team will have come to an end. I don't know if he already stepped down, but I think this was the last big tournament he played. What an up and down it was and the equalizer that was taken back in the end. I still don't know whether it was offside or not, but they said that the chip in the ball recognized a touch and therefore it was offside.

Yes, this is Neymar's last World Cup because it is really hard to leave the World Cup stage. Due to his physical condition, he will have to leave all football tournaments like this. Many players ruined their career due to their lack of discipline, drugs, less time spent in training. These are just few examples. Neymar attitude is well known by everyone. If he focused on building his career, he would be better than Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo and even Lionel Messi.
Brazilian national football team needs to reconsider the way treating its players. Discipline should be regained as crucial way to select players, whether it was inside the national team or among their domestic and professional clubs. No need to recruit a trouble maker, or a fluctuating player, better to play with medium players to achieve better than Cape Verde.

Neymar brought beauty to football, but as a Brazilian he was more of a football joggler playing more to enjoy the game rather than being business minded like the likes of Messi and Ronaldo. He is not old yet, he can compete in the next world cup of he takes his fitness seriously. Messi is 39 and Ronaldo 41 but they're still performing, but Neymar is not them and from what I know about him, he's not disciplined enough to put what it takes to get to strict fitness that would get him ready for the next international duty. He may come back to international duties after thinking it through. For now the kids is taking the toll of him. Messi has retired from international duties once in 2016, but reconsidered after 2 months to continue giving us a beautiful game.

Haaland is currently one of the best strikers in the world, and Norway advanced to the next round thanks to him. He's the player who carries Norway on his shoulders. Without a striker like him, Norway probably wouldn't have gotten this far. They played very well against Brazil, and we can say they're experiencing a legendary period as a national team. Although Brazil played well, they couldn't capitalize on their opportunities.
