VAR reviewed a fault made at the beginning of the attack that led for a goal for Egypt and revoked that goal from them. Meanwhile, when Argentinian made a mistake against Salah that led to the Argentinian goal, the main referee and his VAR assistants were wearing very dark sunglasses. This hypocrisy just ruin the game regardless of the outcome of the fault, to count it or not. Many professional players and experts claimed this injustice from referees in this game and in the World Cup in general. VAR decisions are not uniform and applied equally in all and same situations. Even in the same game, they simply pick what they want. After all seeing Messi and Argentina playing in the advance stages bring more money rewards than seeing Egypt or Cape Verde or any other third tier team.

Crucial time does sometimes always give an interesting surprise even though I am not expek with the result of Argentina against Egypt but honestly this is quite entertaining with the quality of the game is quite good.

Egypt's mistake in this match was that they were wrong in setting the tempo, they were already 2 goals ahead and they tried to set up a more solid defense but this was precisely their initial mistake not realizing that Argentina apart from the quality of their better players they were also fast enough in attack so that with their defense more to the area instead of man to man marking it actually made Egypt lose a good flow of the ball.

But on the other hand the mentality also works here because we can see how the difference in mentality makes the last 20 minutes like hell for Egypt in this match.

I don't know what to call that. It's just heart broken and I wonder how the fans of Egypt will take it. Getting so excited, singing the songs and chants in praise of your team that you are leading 2:0, and at the slightest minutes, you loose completely out of the game and tournament. I believe this will be a very disappointed outing for the African sides, who believed there countries where doing well in the world cup.

Whichever way we see it, it is still football after all, and things like that don't fail to happen. Spain definitely played better, and I was shocked to see they barely won with a last minute goal. I expected them to dominate a lot more, and kudos to Portugal for trying to handle the favourites of the cup.

Ronaldo played his last world cup game, and now we know that he finishes his career without any world cups. I am pretty sure that Ronaldo fans will figure out some stuff to say, and probably already did find it. But the reality is that for the last 2 world cups, he wasn't really a helper. Everyone is still in awe how something like that could happen? Egypt was the stronger side, dominated the game, scored a goal which was canceled and then scored another goal to keep their hope alive, we all thought the game has ended, comes to worse, Argentina might score  just one, but the twist was unexpected, Argentina did a come back, three goals to decide their qualification into the quarter final.

Similar to what happened between Senegal and Belgium, African countries are too loosed in the World Cup.
