Argentina was overwhelming in the final phase of the match and I don't know about England, it was as if someone pulled the plug and they stopped playing. I understand that you switch to a more defensive mode when you score the first goal in a match like this because there is so much at stake, but they stopped in an instant. Before that goal they were pressing with the whole team, then stopped that pressing and let Argentina play whatever they wanted. In those situations I think it is often a question of time until a passive team gets punished.

Argentina did win this game but that was a bit controversial. We could easily see that the referee Ismail Elfath was hesitant to give yellow cards for strong challenges to the Argentina players. Also, the match was high-paced, and he struggled to maintain discipline among the players. On social media, you can see that people are angry (the England fans) and they are claiming Elfath as the worst referee of this World Cup. But I think that whatever happened was history and one should accept Argentina's win with open-heartedness.

Ordinarily, one will think or predict France to win Spain because of their quality players and squad but I was not even thinking that and what made me not to think that way was because of their previous meetings that Spain smash them twice so I was somehow convinced it won't be easy for France. One thing I have learnt about Football is  having good attackers alone doesn't win you competitions, your midfielders and Defender's must be also active. When this World cup started, everyone was praising France up and down because of how clinical their attack was. I never even seen them as favorites during this competitions because I believed that any national team that has good midfield and defence will beat them. Which is what happened against Spain. Spain midfielders locked Olise and Dembele from creating chances especially for mbappe. They controlled the whole game which rendered France attack completely useless. France has been a very good team , they've made back to back WC final, that's something to be proud of.

The reason is because nobody cares about third place. I doubt I will be watching the France - England match because whoever wins is of no importance to me. England were on top and had the chance to advance to the final but Tuchel’s stupid decisions cost them the match.

The reason why am asking you this, is because of the statement you said when you said a referee can NEVER make decisions out of emotions, well sorry to say but the referee are also humans like every other person that is playing in the pitch and there are so many occasions that the referee themselves have made the wrong call and some of these decisions probably due to how tense the game is or other factors.

A Team can have the best attackers but if in any way they losses their midfield battle, this makes the forwards get low quantity chances of winning. Both teams has struggled hard to get this far and they have also played a very good football. The one that surprised me was Argentina against England, ordinarily someone would think or give England a straight win because of how good they are and of all the Argentina game I have been watching, yesterday was really different, they possessed England like crazy and the attempts was something else honestly I could not believe I was Argentina and England because i was expecting the opposite.
