I mean historically they have fought for centuries now, and even up until recently there were English that were banning even walking around, if you know why Irish people face the kings and queens and princes with hands in their pockets (learned it when Cillian murphy did it) you know how serious it is.
The late 80s and 90s were incredibly violent, bombings and target killing were common headlines worldwide, not just in Ireland and yes, they have a bloody history.

Situation with Conor is difficult. If we close eyes on his injury and 5 year pause and focus on his performance, then statistically, the heavier he was the worse his performance was. Now they will be fighting even as welterweights. Featherweight was his peak form. As lightweight he has more losses than wins. Going up and fighting now as welterweight means he has problems cutting weight, red flag for bad health and form. Otherwise they would fight originally as lightweights, as both are from that division.
In the featherweight division, Conor McGregor had a physical size and reach advantage over most of his opponents, making it easier for him to dominate. Only Max Holloway was taller than him, and he became the first fighter to take McGregor to a decision.
Later on, it was difficult for him to cut down to 145 pounds and hence moved up. In the higher division, he never had the size and reach advantage and so he started losing.

Anyway. Does anyone give Conor any chances to win this? How do you guys imagine this fight is going to go?
Common sense says, there is no way Conor could defeat the current version of Max Holloway. The only time I ever placed a bet on Conor McGregor was during his fight against Nate Diaz. When Nate was bloodied up in the first round, placed a full house thinking that I could recover my losses from the Jose Aldo fight and ended up losing yet again.

I have not known UFC to have a exhibition fight. Maybe it will be if Conor is fighting a retired boxer like what he did before, with Floyd. But it's not, it's UFC the main headline and Conor is not fighting someone that is not a good fighter.
UFC has welcomed boxers in the past, like James Tony to fight with MMA rules and he fought Randy Couture, the hype during that period was huge, but the fight lasted less than 2 minutes.

OneFC conducted exhibition bouts, with special rules. One round Muay Thai rules and another MMA rules. Demetrious Johnson fought against the legendary Rodtang.
So you cannot expect any fighters, who has no background in the ground game to enter a MMA bout knowing that they will get humiliated on the ground.

It appears that I have misunderstood what you mentioned hehehe. I was talking about Conor vs. Paddy. This big bad motherfucker fight will be very much similar to Nate Diaz vs. Jorge Masvidal for the fans!
Conor has a list of potential opponents for the BMF title, like Nate Diaz and Michael Chandler, which could turn into massive events.
