I can imagine a situation that can be exploited by those who "save" time for some reason and do not want to bother with the uniqueness of their posts but instead prefer copying. There have been cases where pretty good posts from the Internet were copied with links and passed off as their own work using the same nickname. Subsequently, it turned out that these "inventive" writers simply copied someone else's content along with the nickname, and when they were asked to prove that they were the real owners of the nickname, they could not prove it.

Therefore, the OP should understand that his posts here and posts somewhere else will be compared even if there are links, and after that, proof may be needed if the OP claims that this is his own post. In a word, your nickname is OP, and your registration here must be older than registration with the same nickname on other "fields" of the Internet.

That's not self plagiarism. I disagree with this. If you are quoting yourself, then you are telling people that you have said that thing before and not presenting it as a total new idea, so that can't be called self plagiarism, even in the case of replying to one self like you are a different person don't fall under the definition of what's known as plagiarism.

I have edited it, it was a mistake. I meant the person will be posting on the same forum what he has posted before and it will not be with quoting. This is allowed if it is translated and posted on a local board, but not allowed on the same English board. That is the self plagiarism that this forum is against if the posts are both or all on English board.

Given that there are a lot of members from this forum on the other forum, do you think it makes sense for there to be identical topics in which the same people will copy their posts from forum A to forum B (and vice versa) to save time and meet their signature quota? My answer is very simple - if you don't have enough time to be unique in the content on both forums, then choose one that you consider more important and better.

OP their nothing wrong with that but the fact that it will cause a lot of damage and spam to the forum I will advise you don’t do it.
80 percent of active members in this forum are also at Altcointalk forum so if you post over their and someone in this forum replies you over there and you also come here with the post you copied from the other forum and then post it here and those that replied you over there also copied there reply and post it here replying you how will it look like, I believe like spam right.
However what you should do if you really want to share same information here is for you to share the post link address.

I agree with you 100% on what you just said above @Lucius. Because that's literally just the exact point which I wanted to say regarding this. Because for the fact that the two forum seems to be related to crypto, and kind of operates in the same way, does not give room for people to be doing copy and pasting the same thread/content on both platforms. Because if this issue is not been handed properly, there is a high tendency that some people will also start doing copy and pasting the same "reply" for the same content on both platforms. So in a nutshell. This should totally be discourage to avoid same content spamming.

Sure why not?!

If it's relevant to the forum/topic/subject/timing/audience, then post it on the other forum, it's not a big deal. But make sure, if you are using others posts, then add the source links or the proper credits. And if it's your own words, then adding the source wouldn't matter much, since it's yours fully, but add it just in case...

There are some exceptions though..

For example, you reply to Person A with Reply A at BTT
And on the other forum, you reply to the same person with the same reply.
That's unnecessary and is considered spam.

But if you posting translations work, like I did an hour ago. Then that's ok. The more than platform, the more the audience it reaches.

I think this is quite a complicated question. What does saving your time mean? I mean, you aren't doing any job by posting on these forums. Also, the post won't be relevant to all the forums and threads as well. You might share some important guidelines and informative topics in both forums or wherever you want as long as you are the author of the topics. But you have to follow the forum rules where you are posting. For example, if you are posting on Bitcointalk, then you have to follow the standards and rules.

I am not sure if Altcointalk allows you to copy your own post from the forum. The forum allows it with the reference links; it shouldn't be an issue if both usernames are the same. But I will advise always adding the reference links. If it's under a company, then it shouldn't be an issue as well, like a gambling company; they could make the same announcement thread everywhere. So the rules matter here.

There is nothing bad in you bringing your post to the other forum, just reference it and make sure that you are the original content creator of that post you are making, the issue people have is that they don't often reach the rules about what is expected of them, when you are bringing an article or post from any other source, reference it as well and there is nothing that is bad in so doing, because you are giving credit to the original source, while the post should also have some meaningful thoughts and not just a spam post.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but some people already tend to have their nicknames before getting here, so it's very possible their registration in somewhere else might be older than here. He doesn't have to post the topic in the place that has an older registration date first since the need for the post may have arrived at this place before he chooses to extended it to this place of the older registration date for maybe, information sake.
