Why not make a captcha on bitcointalk in the form of the Bitcoin logo?

I'm sure we've all encountered a captcha when entering a forum where we have to choose between humanoids.

Why not use BTC-logo and $-logo (or a bitcoin coin with a dollar bill) instead of humanoids when solving captchas? This would be in keeping with the spirit of this forum and the topic of finance (on a technical forum). And, accordingly, to make the correct choice (and subsequently log in), you only need to click bitcoin.

I wouldn't say it's critically important, but in my opinion, it would be more correct and logical.

I also suspect that the forum administration didn't manually create this captcha. But maybe there's some way to modernize the images in the captcha? It can't be that difficult.

The simplest answer I can think of, is theymos simply uses available catcha, hcaptcha and he sees these resources are good enough. There is no intention to create any captcha, hcaptcha specialized for the forum and related to Bitcoin logo. I believe that in stance of theymos, it's unnecessary.

This will b cool to have but our consider it low priority. Those trying out the captcha will not get to learn new things from it and it will task the admins to come up with complicated enough captcha to keep bots away.

We are at a good spot with captcha stopping bots and registered users having the option to bypass it.

Although there is still a way they can design the dollar bill and Bitcoin to look similar, that is the only way it can work, and yes I will encourage that as well, mindset has to be programmed to choose Bitcoin always

If not this topic, I wouldn't even know that such captcha exists. I though they're still using Google ReCaptcha or hcaptcha. I have bookmarked captcha bypass link but I rarely have to use because I chosen to alway stay logged in.

Well I think your innovation is very valid and it’s something that should be looked into as well, like you have mentioned we have all encountered this captcha when trying to login into the forum.

Something like what you have described could be very interesting and also illustrating about bitcoin as well.

It would definitely present a very good vibes in the bitcoin forum accumulation.

It’s feels special and unique, but there is so much look-alike in the symbols which some individuals can be confused about which one is the bitcoin logo.

The captcha added to this forum for security purposes was not created by Theymos himself, but by someone else. Using the Bitcoin logo here will be very complicated because I have noticed that the captcha system introduced here is very critical and different types of captchas come at different times. If you look at the captchas of any other platform, there may be different types of images in the same type of capture and you are asked to select. But the capture in this forum is not of the same type, different types of captchas come at different times, which is very strong security, it is not possible for any type of robot to bypass it, no matter how strong it is, and sometimes I myself get confused while filling this captcha. So since different types of captchas are coming here at different times, using the Bitcoin logo will be very complicated.

Bitcoin logo can be added in the capture love, but if you put Bitcoin logo in the actual captcha, it will be one type of captcha, it may not be possible to put different types of captcha at different times and even then it will be very complicated. So maybe that's why no Bitcoin logo has been used here. And since captcha is only a security system, I think it is not mandatory to have Bitcoin logo here.

I think you are misunderstanding the concept O.P meant, "Why not use BTC-logo and $-logo instead of humanoids when solving captchas?", I'm very much sure he didn't mean all the captcha should be the same, but what I think he meant is that the captcha to be solve when logging into the forum should be all Bitcoin related, and not a random use of humanoids.

However, this method also has its advantage and disadvantages too. Because with the use of humanoids, any random user with no knowledge about Bitcoin can be able to access the forum easily. But when the forum starts using a Bitcoin related captcha, then people who don't have knowledge about Bitcoin will find it very difficult to access the forum.

Bots can answer that much faster than humans, just like every other captcha. I'm still wasting time solving them on an increasing number of websites on a daily basis. Just not on Bitcointalk.

Since it's a one-time thing, it doesn't matter. I haven't solved the captcha to access the forum for years and I don't want to see it appear every time I log in (even if it's with the Bitcoin logo or something related to it).

As stated by other member, this forum use hCaptcha service. From quick search, i think they don't give option to let website owner choose certain challenge with certain image. The best you could do is change the theme, see https://docs.hcaptcha.com/custom_themes/.

This is a low priority task, but it requires little time resources.

Since some people here suggest that a regular BTC-logo would be easy for bots to crack, I'd suggest one of the (rough) variations. Do you think this version would be harder for bots to solve this captcha?

In fact, BTC-logo can be disguised in different ways and not as obviously as here.
