Adopting Bitcoin as the main currency for goods and/or services makes sense. Colombia would win if it decides to do this. Or it can adopt both the USD and BTC for peace of mind. Either way, inflation is inevitable. Wages take some time to keep up with the rising pace of inflation. It's best to minimize spending and improve saving/investing habits to fight inflation as much as possible. You'll thank me later.
There's no doubt, the most sensible strategy is to accumulate BTC and hold USDT for peace of mind and daily expenses, just as you mentioned. El Salvador is the best example of a country following this path, and it's a role model not only for Latin America but also for developed countries.
We are seeing much greater adoption of BTC in the United States, which is a very positive sign. The USA could be one of the main drivers of the crypto economy through BTC, thanks to Trump's acceptance of it.
Currently, it's not a good idea to keep money in fiat currency in a bank because that money is just sitting idle. Furthermore, with current market volatility, long-term investment is much better in this case with BTC, since it's the best strategy. For me, traditional saving no longer works; what works is investing. Little by little, I'm sure that BTC payments will be implemented in more countries.
