I also don't think that it was scripted. Gina was caught off guard in my opinion. Of course Netflix wanted to sell, but I don't think they will have the script for this match to just last 20 seconds. I actually think there could be chance it was partly scripted from the start. Huge companies like Netflix know controversy and shock moments drive attention online. This less than 20-second match between Gina and Rousey may sound disappointing to fans, but it currently became one of the most talked-about moments, which is exactly the kind of reaction they want.
I also don’t fully buy the “caught off guard” reaction from Gina. It could have been planned to feel authentic at that moment.
As for Rousey retiring, She has had a wonderful career and this big win clearly setup as the right moment to step away from the ring. Congratulations to her.

Not a bad idea at 39, especially since she still wants more babies. Problem is most boxers/MMA fighters that have had a taste of the fame and money in the octagon may still want to come back for a tip. You know what? That's one way to taint your legacy because you're definitely not going to be as versatile as the people actively in the game. I saw her first in restle mania, then was surprised to see her in the octagon (I didn't know she fought in the UFC).

No doubt she decides to retire after she got her payday. It's just a reason for her to enjoy her money by said she wants more child. I believe he will comeback again when he needs money when all of her kids nees fund enter the college.
She can comeback anytime when she in the needs of money. This kind of statement is just a common thing.

Yeahhh, the backlash was pretty wild you know. Whenever matches end too quick like that, a lot of people instantly feel or even say it’s scripted, but really, quick submissions happen all the times in matches when someone gets caught slipping, even for a sec. Even Gina clearly didn’t expect such a quick takedown, and the moment that submission move was locked in, that was just it, it was as if it was already over before it even got started. It was indeed the craziest way anyone could end a career lol.

Well, she is at an advanced age (for boxxers). It really is a young person's sport. She already achieved everything she wanted to achieve, so leaving now is a glory move. And I am 100% behind that decision.

After Ronda made a comeback against Gina and won via 17 seconds using her armbar submission technique in the early days of this month, it indeed shows a great way to end a wonderful career that would have ended with two brutal back to back knockout losses she suffered in Nov '15 and Dec '16 had she quit before this last match. Honestly, I think that she has a lot to offer as a female boxer considering the demand for her role in the athletic market, if she could win a medal by 2008 and be 39 at her current age, I do think it's too early for her to exit the market now because of the role female boxers play in the sporting industry today and how limited they numbers are currently.

One thing I know is that there are people who put their families first irrespective of what they are doing, they have their family at heart and whenever their target is being achieved they wouldn’t mind quitting whatever they are doing to go back to their family to make sure to spend a better life with them.
