I think it would be better if the hunters participating in the contest only shared the pizzas they made instead of having detailed discussions here. If any discussion is needed, it might be nicer to continue it in a separate thread.
I don't think that is necessary, because this is not the first time this contest is been run on this forum, and if they were able to run the previous successfully by allowing both discussions and submission of contest, I don't see any reason why this is not be successful too. Because at least by combining everything, it makes the thread uniform. So I don't think there is any issue with O.P's decision to make everything be posted here.

Surprisingly, just a week ago, Laszlo was online. Feel free to message him and wish him a happy holiday, because this crazy guy
He was last active on the 2nd of this month. Since it's the month of May, man probably came to check his post history and look at the conversation that led to that famous 10,000 BTC pizza deal. I can only imagine the kind of feeling that comes with logging into an old forum account and seeing a legacy like that attached to your name. Coming to check his profile few days before the anniversary proves that no matter how big Bitcoin gets, the history remains anchored right here on Bitcointalk.
1 BTC sent your way you Bitcoin legend Wow thanks, I do still have access to it. You should never delete a wallet, even if you've spent what was 'in' it. I appreciate the donations, but nobody owes me anything.. I generated my share and I spent it, it was just at a time when the value was lower, but so was the generation difficulty, and the block reward was 50. Laszlo While searching for his profile, I came across this his response to someone who sent him 1BTC in 2014 as a donation. His advice about never deleting an old wallet even when you think it's empty really shows the dept of his technical mindset from the early days. From the response, you could see that he never regretted spending 10k BTC on a lunch neither was he bitter about it nor did tried to play victim. His main focus was more about helping the network grow than getting obsessed over the future price, that's selflessness at it's peak. Laszlo is a man who truly understood his role in the Bitcoin history and rightly deserve the recognition he's getting today. To a true pioneer of one of the greatest innovations ever in the history of mankind, congratulations Laszlo Hanyecz.

I am ready for another Pizza day, and I updated this translated topic in local Croatian board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5399802.0Rewards this year are very good and I want to thank icopress and sponsors for supporting this community competition. I am not a big pizza maker but maybe I try my luck this time, pizza will end up in my stomach anyway

I had to prepare the ingredients for a delicious pizza and also with an evocative appearance of comfort. But hopefully I can be an important part of this contest, because after before I didn't get the top spot. It will be very difficult of course.

Surprisingly, just a week ago, Laszlo was online. Feel free to message him and wish him a happy holiday, because this crazy guy paid 10,000 BTC for two Papa John's pizzas, thus starting this wonderful holiday. That's why I invite you to test your culinary skills! 🍕 Seeing that he still logs in to this forum every now and then proves that the legend still remembers this forum. It's so nice to see him still log in, even though he didn't say a word, but I'm sure he's very proud that this forum still remembers what he did and continues to celebrate it every year. I guess it's time to use my mom's cooking utensils again, hopefully I won't mess that up..

It's good that, in order to award a cash prize, there are rules according to which a pizza must be a pizza and not a pie on a baking sheet or something similar (something incomprehensible) and contain those ingredients that are usually added to pizza. For those who do not know what pizza is, there is always the Internet, not only with drawings , but also with recipes. The tradition from which this competition originated should maintain the level and quality of pizzas, as well as historical pizzas, which were certainly delicious and real. In this case, I usually consult with the fillippone, (we will determine at the end of the deadline which baked goods do not constitute pizza). Well, thanks, and I am happy to help you to assess the quality of the pizzas. The only thing is that in case i decide to take part in the contest, I could be in a position of conflict of interest. In the Italian thread, I posted a few hints on the bare minimum condition for considering something a pizza.

Can I put pineapples in it? I know that for Italians, putting fruit on pizza is a crime.

We finally have another Bitcoin Pizza Day on Bitcointalk, and thanks to Icopress for making all such event more beautiful. let's see who'll be the winner of this contest. I think I might also participate here by baking my pizza. I'll have to learn it first by watching some videos. Hope this year we'll see some good pizzas made by the members of the forum. Best of luck to everyone!

While working on my own design for similar hidden bath hooks, I've made significant progress in modeling. So this year I'll be applying these skills to pizza making. I've even bought a case of champagne and invited my closest friends to a family meeting to help me with some details. So I definitely expect you to join the event because I dream of beating the pizza master.

You've probably never tried it. I even like pineapple on pizza, nothing excessive, just a few hints, but it's actually good. In Portugal, they also sometimes like to experiment, especially when they try to mix traditional dishes into pizza.

I know Pizza originated from Italy with original ingredients of basil, tomato and all stuffs of cheese but here in the Philippines the Haiwaian flavor with pineapple is click on the people. Not sure where this kind of version started but its prettt much popular here. But as pizza guy myself I dont like it added also in the dough.
Will participate on this contest thanks icopress, btw can I ask if were not limited to ingredients?

There is definitely a love / hate relationship with pineapple on pizza, me - I really dont mind, after all tomato is officially a fruit as well! I missed last years competition but this has kick started my thinking on what I am going to do . I always enjoyed the previous entries for the real tasty looking ones to the ones I would be horrified to try but yea they are probably made by those who wouldnt normally do pizza, but kudos for the parcipitation.

As far as I know, pizza with pineapple was made for the first time by a Greek immigrant in Canada. Pineapple in the dough? never seen that although I can imagine it could be nice.
I think you misread flavor for flour

I am not a big pizza maker but maybe I try my luck this time, pizza will end up in my stomach anyway You know how they say, that even a bad pizza is still pretty good. Unless you put pineapple on it. Or ketchup. Not that Italian put word suff on their pizza as well. French fries is a notable example.
One of the weirder things I saw in Italy was pizza with potatoes (not french fries though, but sliced potatoes) which was very surprising to me as I haven't seen something like that anywhere else. I haven't tried it though so can't say anything about the taste. As far as I know, pizza with pineapple was made for the first time by a Greek immigrant in Canada.
Yep, I heared that pineapple on pizza origin story as well.

It's not uncommon, you can also find focaccia (flat leavened oven-baked Italian bread) with potatoes but, personally, I'm not a fan of the potato flavor over bread, I always found it kind of heavy being carbs on carbs.

Happy Bitcoin Pizza Day 2026 🍕
After a long time making pizza again from last year, and today it feels much better than last year, my brother was so addicted that he had to make several pizzas just for consumption today, this is the right moment to enjoy pizza because my brother is at home, it adds to the enjoyment of this delicious pizza. Enjoying eating pizza with family is much happier. Thank you to those who organized the icopress event and this year's Bitcoin Pizza Day Sponsor b1Xch Exchange. Ingredients: Wheat flour Water Sugar Butter Instant Yeast Sausage Cheese Sauce Spagetti Sauce Beef Patties Cheddar The Result Part of Cooking

Of course I know what focaccia is, since it's my favorite bread and I make it on a regular basis. I could eat focaccia sandwich with prosciutto and mozzarella every day. I've tried it before, at an Italian restaurant (outside of Italy), and I liked it. I might try it next time I see it on the menu. Thinking of it I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out that I like it, because Indians have a bread filled with mashed potatoes (and ofc spices) called aloo naan which I like a lot. In the case of pizza with pineapple, would you say it sounds bad? My problem with it is that I generally don't like mixing sweet and savory flavors.
