This depends on what you mean by red. Are you implying dips or bear markets? If it is the dips, it favors anyone who wants to take advantage of it, especially traders. If it is a bear market, I don't think most Bitcoin enthusiasts like seeing bear markets sustained for a long time. Who wants to see their investment seemingly devalued? The confidence of enthusiasts stems from the fact that they know that Bitcoin's long-term trajectory is upwards.

Exactly it’s depends on even the longevity of the dip because a prolonged one definitely gets the market not excited and actually doesn’t encourages more adopters, so I disagree that bitcoiner actually love dips rather I would say that bitcoiniers actually love the way the bitcoin market is, which is the three phases of trends we have, the bearish trend, consolidations (which isn’t a trend to say) and then bullish trend.

I feel this two major trends compliment each other because bearish trend only gets exciting for one if the person is actually expecting a bullish trend because you cannot get excited if you are not expecting some bullish trends

True Bitcoiners don’t fear red, they study it. Red days are when patience gets tested, weak hands panic, and long-term believers quietly prepare for the next cycle.  Grin

Dips are cool when trying to get more sats for cheap but, when I think of a 'true bitcoiner', I think of someone who cares not about green/red/PnL.

Their favorite color is orange, and having some is better than having none.
As long as one is involved in Bitcoin, then they are now a Bitcoiner. Some can also say that a true Bitcoiner is those who use Bitcoin as a currency. But isn't that about preferences only?

Those who buy at the dip or likes the red colour, do also love orange colour as well because that is mainly the colour of Bitcoin. But on Google last time, there is also different colours and design/logos of it, like colour yellow, or colour gold. They don't mean about other types of BTC, meme coin, or forks but it was still the original Bitcoin is what they are talking about. I think that even if you don't end up having your own Bitcoin but as long as you know it and have an interest on it, or you spread the word of it to others, then you might still be considered as a Bitcoiner.

For sure that what you mean by a true Bitcoiner there, also watches the red and green colours because they composed the market. It is hard to avoid them though.

For some people, bear market will remain a blessing, the best time to DCA effectively compared to when we are in a bull market, many people won't like it especially those who are new to Bitcoin, they don't have any idea how the market works.

Such people will panic till the end, some won't be able to handle it and they will sell their Bitcoin, knowledge is a powerful thing, it's why the powerful ones confuse the weak and steal their Bitcoin from them indirectly, by causing panic in the market.

Every dump is a good opportunity for those who knows what they are doing, but so many  people believe that since ETF is available and presidents are talking about Bitcoin it's never going to dump, ask yourself this, where will be next opportunity comes from?

If you truly believe in Bitcoin based on its fundamentals, then a cheaper price (ceteris paribus - if its fundamentals have not changed) is a pure blessing for you, even if you are already heavily invested in BTC, because a bear market increases your BTC purchasing power.
The perspective of someone who truly likes Bitcoin may not necessarily be like that. Everyone likes low prices because they allow you to buy more. If what you see is belief or faith in Bitcoin, then even if Bitcoin reaches an ATH, it should not make you hesitate to buy. Because in the future, its price will increase again, so why wait for it to drop?
Anyone who plans to invest in Bitcoin, of course, has their own target purchase price. Even those who have held large amounts in the past and are still holding their Bitcoin, they are the ones who deserve appreciation.

We're in the middle of being an investor and real bitcoiner. We all like these colors but in the long run, we want to see its price go bigger and it means more adoption has come.

Everyone from traders to investors, newbies to experienced people have to look at Bitcoin price. Difference among them is only how often they look at Bitcoin price chart and surely traders pay more time and attention on Bitcoin price but among traders, professional traders less regularly look at the chart. While newbies and bad traders over look at the price chart but it does not help them trading better but in fact trading worse.

With investors, it's similar difference, and successful investors don't look at price too much because they know that price only reflects Bitcoin value. They know Bitcoin's good fundamentals so that its value will increase over time to lead price growth consequently.

One clear thing that separates real Bitcoiners from short-term speculators is that real Bitcoiners enjoy situations where they can accumulate BTC cheaper – a bear market.

That's so true . I see a bear market like a kid sees a discount sale but when i have more extra capital to buy.
Speculators panic when BTC drops but believers smile and accumulate more BTC . Cheaper bitcoin is a blessing not something to be fear .

What bitcoin enthusiasts will prefer more are the bull market, but the bull market is not real without the bear market.

I agree with your point here. If you ask me, I will say that I like the bull market, but without the bear market, there would not be a bull market. As a bitcoin enthusiast, my dream is to see bitcoin appreciate in value so I can take profit, and this is likely the same mindset of the majority of the bitcoin community members, which is true, but before we can get that profit, it will be through the bear market that we can be able to accumulate more of the volume we desire to hold, so both the red candle and the green candle sticks are both important.

I have seen people assume that a true Bitcoin only accumulates and doesn't sell. My question is, do they want to keep their Bitcoin forever? I don't know OP's definition of a true Bitcoiner but I like both the reds and greens. This is because I try as much as possible to take advantage of both seasons. When the market is down, we buy more. If the market recovers and goes high, we sell to settle financial obligations and reinvest.

Real bitcoin believers don't fear downturns, they see them as opportunities. If the fundamentals remain intact, lower prices simply mean a chance to accumulate more over time. Short-term volatility matters less when your conviction is long term.

I really like your statement that a "true Bitcoiner" is someone who cares not about green or red, but about that orange color.

Most people focus too much on that green or red, which is fine, but I think, for Bitcoiners, what matters most is Bitcoin itself. They believe that Bitcoin is more than just green or red, but it's bigger than that. That's what makes Bitcoin so different and so worth owning.

True Bitcoiners should not be worried about price but should be focused on how it could help the network in whatever way possible while they are also accumulating. There is nothing wrong with buying Bitcoin cheap each time the value is below what it used to be, but focusing more on red is a sign that you care more about the profit you can make when the price goes back up.

True Bitcoiners have a certain kind of mindset that separates them from just any other kind of investor, because they measure their wealth by how much Bitcoin they have accumulated and when a bear market comes, instead of panicking to sell, it becomes an incredible opportunity to buy and accumulate more.
The bear market helps wealth become transferred from a non worthy investor to a more worthy and observant investor who is sure of self custody and has a time frame for their wealth to mature.
Thus, it is proper to conclude that bear market makes a wise investor wealthy while a bull market simply tells how wealthy a Bitcoin investor is.

"Whether we're talking about socks or stocks, I like buying quality merchandise when it is marked down": (Buffett)

There is no doubt that from an investor's point of view, every investor always looks for a good opportunity in the bitcoin market so that whenever the market turns bullish, they can make good or maximum profits from their investment. This is not like everyone likes red as a bitcoin investor, but the color red is just a patience where one buys it or accumulates it as much as they can, and green is the reward of that patience that they have been showing all that time for earning a good reward at the end of the day.

Red is like a night, and green is like daylight, and there is always daylight once the night ends. So, when you are doing an investment in bitcoin for the long term, then just hold it patiently so that you can also enjoy the gains after long-term patience. Try to accumulate as much as you can in the consolidation zone for the bull cycle. This is just my point of view. DYOR!

True bitcoiners love both red and green, and even sideways. Because if you only prioritize loving the red, its like you ignore the future bullish scenario in which green market brings. Its often a combination of both, or let's say loving the three colors of the market, red, green and vibrant energy that is seen in orange market makes you a true and profoundly committed bitcoiner.

However, make the perfect market entry by taking advantage of the red days, as it will eventually lead you to reap what you sow when green days come.

I agree, they understand the fundamentals of Bitcoin and that's also similar to them to the real Bitcoiners.

They believe in the long term impact of it and how the world will adopt it. And they're all right with that, we are starting to see the vast adoption coming from the biggest institutions which have money to invest.

It might take a while to see all unite in that belief for Bitcoin to become also 'real' bitcoiners. But we can simply say that whoever has it, is a genuine bitcoiner.

One clear thing that separates real Bitcoiners from short-term speculators is that real Bitcoiners enjoy situations where they can accumulate BTC cheaper – a bear market.

I don’t think there is a word like “true bitcoiners” . People invest in bitcoin for a million and one reasons and when the market is not going their way, their strategy may be to sell while the strategy for the other person may be to buy. The color of the market doesn’t matter, it is be intent. Bitcoin is about freedom so let everyone who invest be free to do what they want, when they want, and however they want it done.

One clear thing that separates real Bitcoiners from short-term speculators is that real Bitcoiners enjoy situations where they can accumulate BTC cheaper – a bear market.

If you truly believe in Bitcoin based on its fundamentals, then a cheaper price (ceteris paribus - if its fundamentals have not changed) is a pure blessing for you, even if you are already heavily invested in BTC, because a bear market increases your BTC purchasing power.

"Whether we're talking about socks or stocks, I like buying quality merchandise when it is marked down": (Buffett)

Those who are basically real Bitcoin investors always avoid short-term plans, but rather they move towards long-term plans. Those who plan to invest for the long term buy when they get the opportunity in the Bitcoin bear market. But those who are not real investors but plan to invest for the short term and have less experience are afraid to invest when the market situation is bad. Those who already believe in Bitcoin, have built their foundation, bought with experience and made them long-term, they are never afraid of the bear market. Rather, the bear market increases their control and their goal is to accumulate more Bitcoin which will give them huge profits in the future.
