Hi all,

HackMe has been moving from “a network you mine” toward a wider ecosystem: useful-compute chain (HMC), pool, Dig/Hunt audit flow, soft-launch spot desk (HMC/SUP), companion assets, and more surface area every month.

We’re also seeing more people and authors show up — which is exactly what we want.

If you’re interested in the product, you don’t need a formal title to matter here.
Want to participate, propose a direction, or contribute? We’re open — and we do notice real interest.

That includes (not limited to):
• new integrations with other tools / chains / workflows
• new product branches and subsystems
• research tooling, scanners, rails, UX that unlocks the stack
• ideas for new assets / lanes that belong in the HackMe ecosystem

Practical paths:
• GitHub issues for ideas and design discussion
• Pull requests when the work is complete and product-fit
• Security reports privately (please don’t drop exploits in-thread)

Hey everyone — quick update on the existing thread.

HackMe is now on **0.1.0-rc17.4**.

What’s important for miners:
• Blake3 PoH activates at height **#485000** (was 500000). Tip is already ~479k — please update `workerpoh` / installers before the gate.
• Soft pool stays **attempt-pay**. Verified pseudo-shares (M/1024) are for stats/rate checks for now — not a payout surprise.
• Settlement fix shipped: HMC export no longer rolls back `settled_sup`.
• **HackMe OS ISO** is published (Win/Linux bundles too). Always verify SHA256SUMS / SHA256SUMS-iso.

After Blake3, reported GH/s will drop hard (~100–200×). That’s expected (real hash vs algebraic). Pool M retargets down.

Downloads: https://hackme.tech/downloads.html
Release: https://github.com/jokeez/hackme/releases/tag/0.1.0-rc17.4

Same project, same pool — just a mandatory miner update before #485k. Questions welcome.

Hello miners,

Quick status update from the HackMe pool.

As of tip ≥ 485000, the Blake3 PoH formula is live. Work is now blake3_v3(prev ‖ miner ‖ nonce_le) % M == 0 instead of the pre-gate algebraic eval_v1. Soft pool payout remains attempt-pay by default: verified share nonces are observability / rate-check stats until a later strict share-pay mode. Dig and Hunt escrow leases continue to run alongside PoH mining.

You will notice a sharp drop in reported GH/s. That is expected. Pre-cliff hybrid calibration numbers (often tens–hundreds of GH/s per GPU) were algebraic throughput; Blake3 wall-timed PoW sits in a much lower class (~few GH/s across the live fleet today). Coordinators and dashboards should show blake3_pow_ghs / wall-rate — not stale hybrid calib.

Roadmap note (not a promise of live params): an economics v2 RFC is in the works covering emission schedule lock, directing a pool cut from emission, and burns on paid orders. Treat that as design discussion until it is consensus-locked.

On exchanges: HackMe runs its own paper soft-launch spot desk (D0) with a public tickers API and a listing package for partners. That is not the same as a listing on Binance or other foreign CEX — we are not claiming those.

Listing / readiness: https://hackme.tech/listing.html

Questions welcome in the thread.

Hi miners,

Quick honest update from the Blake3 soft-launch:

We ran a full GPU calibration on the public pool (SHARE_STRICT share-PPS, tip ≥ #485000). Burn GH/s is kernel wall time; Pool GH/s is only what the coordinator credits — never worker log vanity numbers.

Highlights:

CUDA path filled from GTX 1070 Ti fleets through RTX 5090
AMD OpenCL Blake3 now has a real device kernel (not host fallback theater)
First AMD matrix row: RX 580 2048SP — ~0.80–0.84 burn, ~0.94 pool
We deliberately do NOT list other RX cards until calibrated
Also deployed coordinator fixes for Hunt payout honesty (server wall floor; CLEAN without proven work no longer equals a full PayRun).

Useful customer work remains Dig/Hunt fuzz lanes. Blake3 PoH pays verified shares.

HackMe Network 0.1.0-rc18 is out

Quick update for everyone following the thread: rc18 is now the stable channel.

What changed
  • Blake3 PoH share-PPS is live. Since block #485000 the pool pays per verified share, not per claimed attempt. Every share is re-checked on the coordinator before it is credited.
  • GPU backends: CUDA for NVIDIA, plus a native OpenCL Blake3 kernel for AMD / Intel / NVIDIA via OpenCL ICD. AMD support is new. Calibration on RDNA/Polaris is still ongoing, so reports from AMD rigs are very welcome.
  • One honest hashrate. The site, the pool API and the dashboard now show the same wall-timed Blake3 GH/s.
  • Security hardening of the Dig/Hunt pipeline. Customer WASM gates are validated in an isolated, memory-limited process before they ever touch the hub or your rig. Build and fuzz sandboxes fail closed.
  • Packaging: Windows installer (.exe) and portable zip, Linux tar.gz and .deb (signed apt repo), and the HackMe OS ISO. The self-updater keeps your .env, data/, logs and wallet seeds.

Docs: https://hackme.tech/docs.html

What's next
Clean-machine install tests (Windows / Linux / apt / ISO), AMD OpenCL calibration, and longer soak tests on rented GPUs. After that comes Economics v2. It will be published as an RFC first, with the numbers open for discussion before anything activates on-chain. Nothing changes for miners until then.

Bug reports, logs and hashrate numbers from your cards (especially AMD) are welcome here or via GitHub issues.

HackMe (hackme-dev-mainnet, client 0.1.0-rc18) is soft-announcing Economics v2.

This is a public design / process lock, not an immediate consensus change.

Problem
Share-PPS + solvency need the pool to be funded from real empty-block emission. Authority local PoH capturing coinbase while miners are paid from treasury is a bridge, not a monetary policy. v1’s short halvings and “100M max supply” story also don’t match the intended long run.

v2 target (at a later activation height)

Base empty PoH reward: 0.1 HMC/block (today 0.01)
Halving interval: 4,204,800 blocks (~4 years from genesis)
Permanent tail: 0.002 HMC/block
No hard max supply in public economics
Empty-block emission routed toward settlement / pool float
Order open: 10% upfront (5% burn / 5% platform) with Dig soft-start as documented
SUP: support/utility (fee spend), capped; not Dig/Hunt escrow
No airdrops in this RFC
Dig/Hunt package prices and escrow splits are unchanged unless announced separately.

Activation process

Soft announce + RFC (this post)
Complete pool empty-find → settlement soak
Ship the height-switch release package
Publish activation_height ≥ tip_at_announce + ≥14 days of blocks (~40,320 at 30s targets, plus margin)
Single activation — not piecemeal “0.1 only” merges
We will not pre-commit to a round vanity height (e.g. 650,000).

Update — MiningBoard listed HMC and HackMe Official Pool (verified 2026-11-04 UTC).

They poll our MiningBoard pool-v1 feed directly (hashrate, miners, fee, height) — not a third-party estimate:
https://hackme.tech/pool/coordinator/api/miningboard/hmc

Pool page: https://miningboard.com/pools/hackme.tech
Coin page: https://miningboard.com/mining/hackme
Contacts / badge: https://hackme.tech/contacts.html

Live check (approx): ~6.5 GH/s · 32 miners · fee 0% · CUSTOM · min payout 0.0001 HMC

Pool remains HTTP coordinator + open-source workerpoh (CUDA/OpenCL), Blake3 share-PPS, fee 0%.

HackMe v0.1.0-rc19 released — Economics v2 activates at block 550,000
Mine HMC with useful work: Proof-of-Hash blocks + fuzzing that finds real bugs in open-source software.

    Economics v2 — block 550,000 (≈ November 15, ~16:00 UTC)
    • Block reward: 0.01 → 0.1 HMC (≈ 288 HMC/day to miners instead of ≈ 28.Cool
    • SUP launches: 0.002 SUP per block, hard cap 21,000 SUP
    • Customer fuzzing orders: 5% burned + 5% platform fee
    • Chain id hackme-mainnet-1 and address ↔ key binding from the same height
Exact block time varies, so watch the height, not the clock.

    New address format
HMC- + 64 hex — the full SHA-256 of the public key (old format used the first 16 hex).
    • Existing 16-hex addresses stay valid.
    • There is no automatic migration: move funds to the long address of the same key with a normal transfer, whenever you want.
    • Recipients must be lowercase hex — copy addresses from the dashboard.

    Downloads
Windows Setup / ZIP · Linux tar.gz · .deb (Debian/Ubuntu) · .rpm (Fedora) · Arch package · HackMe OS bootable ISO · Docker image (built from the release tarball) · fuzzing CLI
New: a separate HackMe Orders profile for customers who order Dig/Hunt fuzzing campaigns without mining.

    Downloads · Release & SHA256SUMS · Website

    What miners need to do
    • Update to 0.1.0-rc19 before block 550,000 (built-in updater; wallet, keys and config are preserved).
    • Verify the dashboard shows 0.1.0-rc19.
    • Note your long address (shown next to the old one).

    Pool
    0% fee · minimum payout 0.0001 HMC · listed on MiningBoard · current pool hashrate ≈ 6 GH/s, 27 miners.
