Let me tell you one thing mate, do you believe that there are people who doesn't get emotional about their losses, especially when the one is what they can afford to lose? And do you also know that there are gamblers that already prepared their mind for the loss even before it happens? I'm like that, mate, if I follow my guts and then the game turned out a loss, it's my luck for that day, I will just walk away or play again if I still have more money that was allocated for playing the whole of that day but if I don't, I will walk away as if nothing happened and go do something else. Honestly, this is not possible, there's no way we are going to predict accurately the outcome of games without losing, there would always be losses as the uncertainty around gambling is going no where. I try my best to bet according to my instincts, fewer times I bet outside it, I still lost and I was more painful losing because I disobeyed my instict. I don't think doing the opposite of what you were doing will save you in gambling, what would save you is: 1. Good gambling system/pattern, and 2. Consistency. It's an illusion to think doing things the opposite would work, it could make the matters worse.

However, you explained the situation well, so for me i don't dwell on the past when i gamble; i do not go over and over on what i should do or what i did before. My gambling budget is not a lot, so i do not worry myself to death about the outcome, i just do the little i need to do and be done with it.

Think of it as healthy gambling no need to think about whether taking bets should be a decision or not, even if you don't gamble it would be better.
