Mechanically, humans think about how the fluctuations of money in gambling will change their way of thinking from a behavior where someone only lives based on a salary that comes once a month, while in gambling with high fluctuations it makes the human mind will be focused, well especially if you get a very big win it can really change the way of thinking about money where someone can get money quickly and large in just a few minutes or hours, human greed will be triggered, especially people who do not have control over themselves it will be much easier to get into addiction.

You have a point on what you’re saying, because gambling can help people and still destroy others people. The major thing here that a person needs is self control and knowing when you want to stop. Someone who has no discipline in gambling can lose everything because of greed, greed of occur when a person is chasing after losses and continues to stake even when they’re not winning. Situation like this can be quite draining mentally, physically and financially to an individual who is employed and has to wait for sometime to get paid regardless of the financial situation that needs to be taken care of, and some employers have issues paying their staff on time, and this delay in payment with the mental stress can cause anxiety accompanied with some negative thoughts. I've been addicted to gambling before, and yes, I've been in a situation like your friend, OP, where I lost interest in working. The reason? Even though gambling is even said to be as a game of luck, it doesn’t mean that one should not engage in normal practices of making sure that they employ proper risk management including being patient as part of their characteristics as a gambler. When the money comes just one time at a go, you’ll begin to feel waiting for a week, or a month to get a pay seems longer and no more interested in it.
