My folks who are mining this coin... How are the mining rewards so far?
I know these are just approximations which can change at any time due to fluctuations in the hashrate and difficulty, but are the figures any closer to what is being shown on WhatToMine as of today?

Been mining it for around two weeks and the PRL payouts have been surprisingly consistent. Given it's profitability is far better than average, how long it will last is unknown. Getting ~7 PRL per day with a 5080 ~189 TH/s @300W PL.

Now, by mining PEARL on K1Pool, you automatically receive a second coin—MDL.
https://t.me/koliamainer/14290
✔️ Simply set up regular PEARL mining—no additional steps required.
MDL is automatically credited to your balance.
Add a wallet for MDL payouts on the Wallets page, just like for any other coin.
No special miners are required-SRBMiner is perfectly suitable.

Who buys this coin from miners?
This reminds me of Qubic, which also boasts about doing useful work for AI. Judging by last year's Monero incident, when Qubic nearly brought that network down, I can only conclude that the people mostly interested in these things are miners. They switch to work that may be useful - but users and buyers are nowhere to be seen. I think the same thing will happen here: there will be more and more miners, while hardly anyone else will take this project seriously.

Pearl (PRL): Inside the AI-Compute Cryptocurrency Turning Matrix Math Into Mining

I’d venture to guess that miners haven’t even read this article and don’t know what kind of calculations the graphics cards are performing; they care most about power consumption, temperatures, and profit)
According to surveys, 90% of miners sell everything, so I don't know who is buying these coins.

The 170HX unlock has been achieved.
The hashrate on the CMP 170HX is 150+ TH/s.

The Tensor cores are unlocked. The unlock works.
To transform the CMP 170HX chip into an A100, you need a specific driver—NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-580.159.04—which is the NVIDIA open-kernel driver.

https://github.com/Printscan/rgminer/releases/download/v0.9.9/rgminer-0.9.9.tar.gz

How to install driver 580⬇️
nvidia-driver-update 580.159.04 --force

Why choose this miner?

lpminer leave a significant amount of performance untapped. Our implementation focuses on kernel optimization, reduced overhead, and improved scheduling, allowing miners to extract substantially more performance from existing hardware.

Advantages:

  • Higher hashrate
  • Better efficiency
  • Lower rejected share rate
  • Stable operation under heavy load
  • Easy deployment

Pool Statistics Reference:

Current Pearl network operates in the multi-exahash range with major pools processing more than 138 PH/s. Our optimized miner demonstrates effective performance gains of approximately 20-30% under identical hardware conditions.

ForgeMiner v1.5.15 - https://github.com/0xHashRaptor/ForgeMiner/releases/tag/v1.5.15

Built-in hardware unlock for CMP 50HX and CMP 90HX on Linux — one command, one reboot, both cards run at full speed

What's new:

  • CMP 50HX and CMP 90HX now unlock straight from the miner. Run sudo forge --cmp-install once on a Linux rig and forge does the whole thing itself — checks the environment, installs the helper, reboots with a 10-second cancel window, and mining resumes automatically. After the reboot both cards run at full speed instead of throttled
  • Everything is embedded in the miner binary — no separate scripts, no external repos, no manual steps. The helper is extracted to a private temp directory only while it runs
  • Two more subcommands for control: forge --cmp-verify prints live unlock status per card, forge --cmp-rollback restores the previous NVIDIA driver from backup (10-second cancel window before the reboot). Add --no-reboot to either install or rollback if you want to reboot the rig yourself
  • Safe to leave --cmp-install in the flight sheet forever — if the unlock is already active it prints one line and drops straight into mining, so there's no reinstall loop after every restart
  • Requires Linux kernel 6.10.0-hiveos with NVIDIA driver 610.43.03. Only CMP 50HX and CMP 90HX are affected; every other card on a mixed rig runs untouched

Plain-output mode for non-terminal stdout

  • Logs used to render as garbage (räć, îïï, raw \x1b[36m codes) when captured by PSEXEC, redirected through | cat, saved to a log file, or run from cron — Windows cmd/powershell don't parse ANSI escapes and show Unicode box-drawing chars as cp866/1252 mojibake. Forge now auto-detects when stdout isn't a live terminal and strips ANSI colours + swaps box-drawing for ASCII; interactive terminals (Windows Terminal, PowerShell 7, HiveOS ssh, tmux) still get the full dashboard as before
  • Force plain output explicitly with --no-color / --plain, or the environment variables NO_COLOR=1 / FORGE_NO_COLOR=1

Getting the required kernel and driver

The 6.10.0-hiveos kernel is not in current HiveOS repos anymore — the way to get it is the HiveOS beta image 0.6-229-beta-jammy@241231 (Dec 30 2024), which ships with kernel 6.10.14-hiveos built in. Then nvidia-driver-update --force gets the exact driver:

Code:
# 1. Check what you have right now
uname -r                                                # target: 6.10.0-hiveos
modinfo -F version nvidia                               # target: 610.43.03

# 2. If uname -r isn't 6.10.0-hiveos, reflash to the HiveOS beta image that ships it.
#    NOTE: hive-replace reinstalls the OS — rig.conf (your farm_hash) is preserved
#    automatically, but locally-installed packages are wiped and the flight sheet
#    reapplies from scratch after boot.
sudo hive-replace -y "https://download.hiveos.farm/history/hiveos-0.6-229-beta-jammy@241231.img.xz"
# md5: bf1724fbea4999ec7e85367a1f4899eb

# 3. After the rig comes back up on 6.10.0-hiveos, install the exact driver.
#    --force is needed because 610.43.03 isn't in nvidia-driver-update's supported list
#    but the script still downloads it from download.nvidia.com just fine.
sudo nvidia-driver-update --force 610.43.03
sudo reboot

# 4. Confirm
uname -r                                                # → 6.10.0-hiveos
modinfo -F version nvidia                               # → 610.43.03

On other Linux distributions the same combination works, but bringing 6.10.0-hiveos and nvidia-open 610.43.03 in yourself is out of scope for this note — see the wiki https://github.com/0xHashRaptor/ForgeMiner/wiki
