About a year back there was a major political crisis in Rivers State where the governor His Excellency Sim Fubara had a clash with his predecessor and it resulted to so many things even to the point the President of the nation had to breach the laws of democracy and federalism in order to make sure there was peace. Months later he was reinstated after suspended and even for personal reasons decamped from his original political party PDP to APC and we all thought it was as a result of alliances been formed.

Fast forward to this day, it is reported that the Governor of Rivers State, Governor Fubara had withdrawn from his political race for second term which has got so many people talking. Personally I don't know if it is just a political strategy or a it was out of fear or the initial agreement he once had with the President. According to insiders, one of the key terms or conditions he was given in order for his to be reinstated was that Fubara will be reinstated to complete his four-year tenure but must forgo any plans to seek a second term in 2027 — a move that will limit his clout but to which he agreed.
I have added this link so you all can see the complete conditions Governor was given.

Till this very moment the news is still one that is shocking to some and disappointing to others as they believe he had done so because he is not really up to the task although
his reasons were clear and are stated out also for public reading by the Pinch news.

Fellow Nigerians what do you people think is really the main issue behind this sudden withdrawal?

To God, politics in Nigeria is very complicated, especially when powerful political godfathers are involved. In my opinion, if you know you do not have the strength, support or courage to continue a political fight, then it is better not to start one, especially against someone who was very instrumental in bringing you to power in the first place. If you look at so many cases of this modern day politics, this Tinubu era of dangerous politicking, So many politicians try to break away from their political mentors too early, but later discover how much influence and control those people still have behind the scenes. I think Fubara found out the hard way that Wike is not to be toyed with politically, because he fights dirty.

Nigerians who does not understand why fubara had to resign are the ones calling him weakling and all sort of names on social media. Fubara actually didn't resign because he  is scared of Wike nor because he was a weakling, those are propaganda to tarnished his reputation. Fubara is somebody who don't honour agreements, he signed an agreement with wike that for him not to be impeached while in office,he will not seek re elections for a second term but he still went ahead to seek re elections which was  why  the APC screening committee didn't screened him,.so he had no other options but bowed out of the race for peace to reign. If he had played his game very well he wouldn't have resulted to this so I blame him for his predicament because he caused it.
