[UPDATE] BitcoinBT (BTCBT) — Test Mainnet Completed / Preparing for Official Mainnet Transition
The BitcoinBT (BTCBT) public test mainnet phase has been successfully completed.
During the testing period, the network, mining environment, block generation, synchronization process, wallet operation, and SHA-256 mining structure were continuously verified and stabilized based on the Bitcoin Core v26 architecture.
BitcoinBT is a Bitcoin hard fork chain designed to continue from Bitcoin block height 903,844 while applying BTCBT-specific consensus rules after the fork point.
Current preparation work for the official mainnet includes:
• Full Bitcoin block verification up to height 903,844
• Independent BTCBT mainnet block database construction
• Mainnet chainstate/index rebuilding
• Separation from previous test network environments
• SHA-256 mining environment preparation
• Mainnet node and synchronization verification
BitcoinBT Mainnet Specifications:
• Bitcoin Core v26 based
• SHA-256 Proof of Work
• 5-minute block interval
• ASERT difficulty adjustment
• Adaptive Block Size (Up to 32MB)
• SegWit / Taproot support
The project is currently transitioning from the completed test mainnet stage into the official mainnet preparation phase.
Official mainnet launch and public mining are expected to begin between June 2 and June 5, 2026, depending on final network synchronization and deployment status.
SHA-256 miners and node operators will be able to participate once the official mainnet activation begins.
