I saw an Indian vlogger “ Dhruv Rathee” , the name might have spelling mistake. He said that there are begging gangs especially in underdeveloped nations who compel people for begging. They kidnap kids and women and make them disable by cutting their feet, hands or make them blind by putting chemicals in their eyes or throw acid on their face and then give them an area where they starts there duty from morning to evening. There are some night shift beggars as well in the areas which are open 24/7.  Recently I heard from an expert that 94 percent of beggars are professionals while the rest are compelled to ask for begging. What is your perspective about begging and what steps are required for the government in order to avoid such type of beggars?

When you see someone found in a condition of begging, we have to first consider the reason behind it, because some never wish to beg but circumstances may change and warrant for them to require an emergency help and they can only achieve things by trying to solve it for financial assistance, while on the other hand, some people are only just being lazy to work and do something worthwhile, do you have limited themselves not to be able to make it or deliver to the world than to solicit for help from those that already have enough, this is as a result of laziness and wrong mentality about life.

It is a shame, no one should do that on their own but if they are made into doing it then I just pity them and the government should take care of their people by removing the mafia kind of thing. I also read some stories that Beggars purchased a big real estte and they keep doing it while owning assets worth millions under their name.

Begging cannot be called a profession, it's more like a willing support out of compassion due to certain state or condition of a receiver, hence it's neither a compulsion.
In certain region of Nigeria, local immigrants of Niger republic popularly called "The Fulani's" usually liters themselves at bus stop in most cases mothers and even a child as small as 7 years old has being so cajoled in this process that they become ignorant of the embarrassing scenes they display all in the name of begging. These sets of people are so disruptive that they can literally drag your cloths to get you to spare some change (cash) for them. It's so much like there means of livelihood or survival as record by citizen of Nigeria from time immemorial, mind you these set of people are not disabled in anyway.

The truth is that, you just might not be able to know the exact reason why some people are begging. I have a lot of beggars where I live, I mean I see them whenever I go out, Some are crippled, some are very healthy children, some are very healthy women, carrying babies on their hands. But one thing about me is that, I love to help people, but that's only when I'm moved to do so. Sometimes I see some moves that these beggars use as emotional blackmail, and I hate emotional blackmail, so I don't help people with money when I know that begging is your profession, but when I know that you really need the help.

Begging is now a profession with its network already spread throughout many countries. Especially beggars are waiting for big religious events in a few countries like India and Pakistan.
They have unlimited sources due to their Addys, who have enough influence in politics and other ways. Kidnapping kids while using women and also using them for their narcotics business gives them good benefits. There were few laws and strategies, but all failed because there are many flaws in these laws and things that don't work.

A few days back, I was reading that a few beggars have millions of rupees in their bank accounts, and they also have enough properties that give them good income, but still they are begging because it works for them and also gives them money without doing anything.

First off, begging is not a profession, but it is a condition that makes people to beg others for help and i wonder why someone who is healthy and isn't deformed or with disability will chose to inflict pains on themselves just because they want people to show empathy and lend them a helping hand. Beggars are everywhere, but i only help those that are physically challenged since they might not be able to use some important part of their body to work and earn money for themselves. I don't know about the legitimacy of this your information but given it a benefit of doubt to be true, if it's confirmed that there's such cruelty and the governments had learnt about it, I don't think if there's other remedies to get the acts to an end, then those perpetrators should be arrested and been brought to book.
I'm sure some of the victims dies in the process because non of those brutalities are common to even think one can survive the hurts degrees.

I can agree that there are gangs of beggars in underdeveloped countries that pretend to be deformed in any part of their body, but where I don't agree a bit is where kids and women are kidnapped to make them disabled by cutting their legs or hands, or make them blind by chemicals intentionally. That act alone, will have those women or kids kidnapped talking about the wicked act done to them. That will get those who did such wicked arrested.

What I have seen happening from these beggars, is that some of them pretend that they are blind, can't walk, or have these terrible deformities that need financial help for treatment, whereby they are faking it

If there is this kind of thing that you are talking about where people are willing to have their bodies maimed to look deformed and then told to beg, does that mean that the income of beggars can be more than the income of office workers? I saw on the news that a beggar has a lot of savings, a luxurious house and 3 wives, which is crazy.

But for me the begging profession for me is really despicable because it only pities on the streets to be given money by street visitors, sometimes when we pass through cities there are always beggars and it is difficult to distinguish which beggars are disabled and not.

Begging is now changed through rackets that are involved and turn this into an industry in a few developing countries because they are using religion and political influence, which is always on their side. They have never been afraid of anything; they keep growing because they are doing things with strong engagements.

In many countries where people do not have enough resources, they joined this because here they can earn enough money without doing any work; they just always have movement from one place to another and enough money, education, and strong communities can do something positive, but still it's never been easy to handle this because now they are having deep roots that are strong enough.

It can be a profession, it can be a compulsion, and it can be both. The first time a person begs, he begs because he is in need, not as a profession. But when it becomes a random thing for the person to do after seeing the benefit of begging, it becomes a profession. There are many people like this in the world. They wont stop begging because of the money they get from it. It is most experienced in developing countries where a high rate of poverty exists. In already developed countries, begging is limited.

begging is a form of acting and it is a parasitic behavior.,
i know some people who were down on their luck and asked for help then got right on their feet
i also see and know some who are just worthless druggies, don't give a flying fukk about anything but getting high, and know that at a busy intersection they can show up for 5 or 10 minutes with their little fake ass sign, im a vet, amputee, car accident, 20 starving crotch goblins, all the bullshit to tug at your heart strings, and in a few minutes they got 10 dollars or so.  thats a beer and a smack to hold them over until morning when its time for another hit.

in some parts of town the peeps are common working class, who don't know any better about these filthy parasites and feel sorry for them so will slip them a 5 or so every other day.  knew one guy was pulling in from 300 to 700 or so dollars a day just standing under a few bridges for the morning.  then go back to a diff bridge for the ride home,  all tax free, he lived in a huge house with a pool and everything else.  he was proud of the fact he was getting over on people that good.

ask most of them, what do you need the money for, you'll hear some dirty lie,  oh you are hungry,  here come with me ill buy you some food  oh no no thats ok, i ate recently, its for later, can i just have the money  gfy pos.,   i love the ones will work for food, ill give them a business card with my name on it address phone number and a code so an uber will bring them over if they have no transport.  if anyone showed up id put them to work in my yard gardening but in return id pay them handsomely because they actually did come and work for their money.   after close to 5 years, only had one guy who took me up on it.  ended up i was able to help him get settled, back on his feet, cleaned up and he has a really good job now and is back with his family.  the problem is the ones who need help often wont ask for it.

In addition this problem or Matter is not suppose to be universal solution. Yes, same people do exploit begging for profit, but alot of people are begging because of the hardship and lack of support. So instead of seeing beggers as the problem, a much better way to approach the situation is to separate genuine victims from people that organised exploitation from it, then address both issues approximately, then at the end of the society creates a much stronger social protection system like social welfare, education and healthcare, the number of people that will end up on the streets begging will reduce organically.

There are organized begging by syndicates who coax or forcefully recruit destututes and homeless people into beggars, they will station these victims at strategic locations to be begging and at the end of the day every alms that are given them will be collected from them, I guess their rewards is giving them food. There are also beggars who are in genuine need, those who cannot work for health reasons, drug addicts and destitutes they just need money to eat.

There are also people who begs as a family tradition, a region in my country are renowned for begging, you will see a lineage of beggars where grandparents, parents and children beg and they probably intermarry because that must be how there are many begging families. They are scattered allover the country, same language same behaviors, they only attend religious schools and cause neusance. The terrorists in Nigeria, are from that region and the reason is not difficult to understand, they are destitutes who will do anything for food.
