I know people do beg, and people that I know that do beg on the street are disabled people, but I don’t know people are taking begging as a business, I don’t know people are so heartless to the extend of kidnapping people, disabling them just because they want to be used for begging, thats so terrible and I don’t know why some people are just so desperate to make money, they don’t care even if they hurting other people in the process of trying to make the money. People caught disabling people are suppose to be properly punished because it’s completely wrong.

This is really something of concern and I never knew such exist in real life. Kidnapping and making people disable just to fulfill your dreams is very inhuman and such people when caught should be dealt with and sentencing to death should be their penalty for that. I have heard of professional beggars but I always assume they remain only in the world of the movies and not in real life, but by seeing this your post, I’m more compelled that such happens and people use that as a means to enrich themselves. You know after watching some movies and reading news like this on social media, I just avoid many begger I see on the street because their sight irritates me, I do not have natural hatred for them but since it is now becoming a profession, I see almost all as thesame people who are used to extort money from innocent hustlers. Some time this beggers behave as if you owe them something, sometimes in the motor pack they will grab your leg and be asking you to help whatever you have, they will try to make you feel emotional until you give out something you never wanted. So because of this I avoid them since I know most of them are just acting or being used by some set of people to make money. I know people can do anything to make money but kidnapping and disabling children for the porpose of making them beggers is a high level of wickedness and inhumanity to man. The government should try to investigate some of this beggers and know the master minders or architect of this problem, and make them face the law for it to serve as a warning to others who are looking into it as a nice business. Because without that, more people will still make it a profitable business.

Apart from cases where a begger engages in begging because of physical conditions like blindness or other condition that makes it hard for such a person to even fend for himself, there's absolutely nothing noble about beging.

There are people that are begging and creating social media content off it and it's even a shame that someone will give to such king of people. Begging can't be generalized. There are people who are begging because they are in need in the current time, what doesn't mean they will remain as beggars forever. Meanwhile, there are others who see on this practice an opportunity to make a living from, without having any responsabilities and goals in life.

And in case they are torturing and mutilating children to victimize them towards society's eyes, they aren't beggars anymore, but criminals and should be punished for their wrongdoings against underage individuals.

Wow... This is literally my first time of hearing about this evil act, but I'm not surprised at all, because humans can be cruel.
Of course, I agree that some_{(not all)}, sees begging as a profession... Like, they're literally doing it as a business. I don't want to generalize, but I feel there are beggars across every part of the world, but we find them in larger numbers in underdeveloped/developing countries_{(mostly third world countries)}.

I'm not sure of what exactly the government can do, because eradicating beggars on the street might not be as easy as it sounds. Bad economy, corrupt government, unemployment, high cost of living, can make the lives of people a lot difficult and also limit their chances for survival even through hardship. They are some of them that can be helped though, because I believe not all beggars enjoy what they're doing, while there are others that just want to live under the mercies of those who can give to them.

When you see someone found in a condition of begging, we have to first consider the reason behind it, because some never wish to beg but circumstances may change and warrant for them to require an emergency help and they can only achieve things by trying to solve it for financial assistance, while on the other hand, some people are only just being lazy to work and do something worthwhile, do you have limited themselves not to be able to make it or deliver to the world than to solicit for help from those that already have enough, this is as a result of laziness and wrong mentality about life.

begging can never be a profession as a profession deals with formal specialized education, training and skills with ethics guiding its practices  and I doubt if it is a compulsion as you can actually decide to beg or not. I think begging is mostly as a result of laziness, the unwillingness to do something for yourself, it can also be as a result of wrong believes and indoctrination as some persons from a particular religious group are made to believes that some persons are born to be beggars and cannot do anything outside begging thereby discouraging those that doesn't have the initiative to start up something for themselves and to continue begging and children brought up in such family continue with the process as an occupation and as mention above they might even go to the extent of recruiting others to be beggars.

Note that asking for assistance and begging are two different things, a person can ask for assistance so as to achieve a particular purpose or aim that he or she alone is not able to afford and when the aim is achieved, they stop asking for assistance but a beggar will continue to beg whenever he or she see you

Well, begging usually comes with difficult circumstances. I don't think anyone truly enjoys begging because most people would rather earn their own money and live independently. But, people react differently to hardship. Some would rather beg for help than resort to stealing or other crimes and that is still the better option. At the same time, it is true that in some places there are organized begging networks that exploit vulnerable people, which is very sad. The government should focus on creating more jobs, providing social support and cracking down on criminal groups that force people into begging. That way, those who genuinely need help can get support while reducing professional begging.

i know beggars who make 500 dollars a day, they work about 4 to 5 hours, have honed their spiel over years, and live in very well to do neighborhoods.

professional actors lie to you all the time, anytime they pretend to be someone / something, technically that is a lie..and they expect you to pay them for their lies, and pay them handsomely too!! so why is their lie ok, and mine. not??

Begging simple means requesting for someone's elp often in the form of money. It is not something to be done regularly as profession in
in someone's daily life. In Africa, people make it an habit begging in every street corners from passersby, from neighbors and other friends and relatives as if is a profession that they have studied in some high schools.

In some cities or states, they beggars have associates who divides themselves into different streets of the city to beg all round and at the end of the day, they combined what they have gotten to make a living. The power for them having influence to compel others to the act of begging can be referred as compulsion because without such authority or influence, no one will agree to carried out such disgraceful act

It is not everyone who beg that are lazy, and it’s not everyone who beg is as a result of bad luck. Life is full of different situation that can make a person fall into difficulties, Why some people truly need help to bounce back. But if someone continually depends on begging without any efforts to improve their life situation or challenges it may become habit that will hold back their lives. So it is essential for people not to judge one another based on their predicament. Most of the beggars you see are professional beggars. Some go to the extent of hiring babies which they strap on their backs to draw more sympathy from passersby. In a local market near my college years ago, I learned that they have a union and they are hired in big occasions to fill the streets in order to show the importance of the person hosting it that he feeds even beggars. It is a very lucrative business for some people and it pains me to see people who are not handicapped begging or escorting beggars. Such a party never gets a dime from me because I can never support laziness.

This is not only in India, but also in our country. So now I try to give alms selectively. Because not all people are begging in the same situation. Some are really helpless, while others may be part of a gang or have taken it as a profession. Honestly I don't find many of the people I see begging on the bus or in the market trustworthy. Maybe I may be wrong, but in many cases, seeing the same strategy over and over again has created suspicion.  A few days ago I saw a post on Facebook where it was claimed that even small children are hired for begging, and in some cases they are even put to sleep with sleeping injections so that people feel more empathy when they see them. There can be no greater cruelty than this. So now I don't give money to anyone in a hurry, because I don't want my hard earned money to go into the pockets of a criminal gang.

This is wicked OP, if this is how some persons make their money then they need to stop because is like taking away the life someone has and make them your toy. Hence there is an outright Ban on begging by the government, those people committing kidnap and child abuse would stop. It is because they saw that nobody has confronted them with a Ban, that's why they still perpetrating such evil.
