That is something I have heard about, it is called the begging mafia and they operate in India and other nearby countries... They are a criminal organizations which, in my opinion, would be treated in the same manner cartels are treated here in the Americas.

In my opinion, being a beggar cannot be a profession, even if there are people who beg for money for a living. People are supposed to work for a living. It would be unfair for the working people to compared their actual professions to begging...

Seems to me that becoming a beggar, is one of the ways that a person can learn how to face the public.

In my country, beggars can be professionals. You're used to seeing middle-aged people, fully equipped and fit, knocking on doors to beg for something. There are even some underdeveloped areas where the majority of the population engages in this profession.

A trending term right now is online begging (accepting challenges to do stupid things while livestreaming in exchange for gifts). This is relatively new, but some people around me have already started shamelessly.
Yes in many areas begging has become profession of few groups, reason is not always about mafia but one big reason is less availability of jobs. So some are unwillingly adopt it to meet their needs. I knew a man who tried his best for the job when he couldn't find suitable way, he started selling balloons. That's earnings was not enough for his family, he observed during that time, those who are begging earn more than him. Or he put his all day but usually went home with little amount. So he decided to adopt begging but chose the area that is far from his house. Now he earnings better, but not happy with his profession internally.

As economic conditions going worse day by day, may be due to that we are seeing an increasing numbers of baggers on the road. Government should take action for improvement of tgeir living or provide some sorts of works. Otherwise if we ignore this fact many people will join it as a profession not happily but because they have no better options.

This is really something of concern and I never knew such exist in real life. Kidnapping and making people disable just to fulfill your dreams is very inhuman and such people when caught should be dealt with and sentencing to death should be their penalty for that. I have heard of professional beggars but I always assume they remain only in the world of the movies and not in real life, but by seeing this your post, I’m more compelled that such happens and people use that as a means to enrich themselves. This is bad and the government of India should look into this and find actions to it. Could the large population be cause of it also? This is very sad and disheartening to hear.
We cannot put the blame on population size for the social problems. Kidnapping and exploiting disabled people for begging is a serious concern. There are causes that are forcing these things: poverty, weak law enforcement, unemployment, and corruption are major causes behind this. But none of the factors can justify treating human beings in such a way.
It is not ideal way to give death penalty to everyone who is involved; justice should be based on proper investigation. There should be fair trial and proper evidence; according to seriousness of the crime, life imprisonment or strict penalties can be imposed. If country has larger population, that does not mean that it will have more crime. It depends on government on how effectively they are protecting the rights of the citizens, how they are investigating the criminal networks and how they are trying to enforce the law in their country.

I don't want to believe this is true, how do you compare to a profession, this is pure evil that could confine someone jail time for life, first a case of kidnapping and then physically abusing the victims to a state of helplessness, even if it is done willingly, it is a punishable offense.

How can begging generate more money than someone working with all parts of their body intact, same underdeveloped countries others are still having difficulty taking care of their own needs, how much do they have to spare for beggars.
That is what some people does for a living, they beg to survive and funny enough, this method sustain them because there is no other way for them to keep surviving. And I think begging its for people that are lazy to work, instead of them to work and help themselves, they choose to rely on others for survival and that's really not a good idea because, the worst part of it is that people who are completely okay are even begging instead of working. So the thing is that one can help the helpless but have to challenge the workless.
I agree that we should help people who genuinely need help but we should also encourage those who are capable of working to become independent, so we must remember that not everyone who beg is lazy because some people are struggling to survive and with some kind of situation beyond their control, we should show kindness to the helpless one while encourage people who are able to work should work hard and take responsibility. So helping people is good but teach them to stand on their own is more better.

Yes, some people have turned begging as their own professional. Back then we knew beggars as people who are deformed, and people genuinely give out what they have for them to survived, why some people who are not deformed begged maybe they missed their way which they needed transport for them to go back where they wanted to go before.  But this time around some normal humans have taken this begging as their own way of surviving, not that they're deformed but too lazy to work. This question reminds me of 4 nights ago, i went out to get something after buying the things i needed about to transfer money to the lady a full gown man came in and said he's hungry that he need something to eat, then i did the transfer and added extra money. I sat by the corner to see what he want buy with the money, to.my greatest surprise i saw the man with cigarette then i went back and ask the lady what the man bought, the lady said only cigarette and she asked me if i didn't know that the man is a lazy man who refused to work. So right now normal people has taken begging as their own profession.

With the situation of things now ,I have concluded that begging is a profession, because the rate of beggers in the street now it's alarming  ,it certainly shows people has taken it to another level ,I know a man who is deformed and paralyzed, his always on a wheelchair at one certain junction to beg for money ,the day they showed me his house I couldn't believe my eyes ,from begging he bought land and built a house while many who is giving him has not gotten a land self ,once his at the junction anybody that passes by he praises you ,says nice word and his outspoken, people said he makes millions monthly from that place and from begging. Many things are happening, which has made me to believe that begging is a profession because many people are cashing out from through begging , there was a time a woman was caught begging with fake pregnancy bump just to get sympathy from people that the man who impregnatedvher dump her ,so many has seen the profit in begging and are using different methods to go into the street to beg for money .

Even in my country, it has become so normal to the extent that if you don't give them money, they might fight with you. Before, begging was done by people who want to survive. But as it stands now, it has really turned into a profession.

First thing to be considered about the people begging is the reasons they choose to beg. Things are happening and to some people they wouldn't just love to go around and about the streets begging for alms but some conditions compel them to do so. Genuinely giving out to the alms is good  especially when you see that the person that is begging deserves to be offered help or maybe the person was going somewhere and got stranded but now some lazy People now wants to turn it into daily routine and as a profession, nothing is wrong with them not blind, not deaf or crippled and they do not want to find a means of living rather they prefer to stand on the road begging.
Sometimes ago a friend was actually talking about how a lady was almost beated up in the market, she lady had literally turn begging into a profession for herself always going to different locations with the same story of she was going to a particular state and then she and her son boarded the wrong vehicle their properties were stolen and they were thrown out of the vehicle stranded, she uses this same story for every location to beg for money and people will gift her money because of her story till when her luck ran out in an entire different location where people that have met her before casted her.
To actually know if someone takes begging as a profession or it's because of compulsion it's the motive or reasons behind the begging that guarantees how we see it.

Begging is a combination of both profession and obligation. For example, the economic situation is forcing people to beg. On the other hand, there are many who do not like to work and eat, but rather they want to earn money in an easy way and begging is an easy way to earn money without capital. In my country, begging has become so daring that someone can earn money by sitting on the street wearing a worn-out torn shirt and writing "Help Me". On the other hand, if someone stands on the side of the road with a broken plate in his hand, he can earn a lot of money which you cannot earn by working hard. Why don't people want to enter a profession that does not require money, that is why the number of beggars is constantly increasing in my country. Now begging has been taken very easily and as a result of taking it as an easy way to earn money, it is no longer at the level of obligation among people. Now it is being considered as a direct profession.

I saw an Indian vlogger “ Dhruv Rathee” , the name might have spelling mistake. He said that there are begging gangs especially in underdeveloped nations who compel people for begging. They kidnap kids and women and make them disable by cutting their feet, hands or make them blind by putting chemicals in their eyes or throw acid on their face and then give them an area where they starts there duty from morning to evening. There are some night shift beggars as well in the areas which are open 24/7.  Recently I heard from an expert that 94 percent of beggars are professionals while the rest are compelled to ask for begging. What is your perspective about begging and what steps are required for the government in order to avoid such type of beggars?

Look, if good and healthy people are being made to beg by crippling them, then that cycle should be caught first, the cycle that disfigures people should be punished first. Especially children from orphanages are kidnapped more often to be used for this begging, but this begging can definitely be removed by the government because if the protesters are given an allowance on an annual or monthly basis, then it is definitely possible to remove the beggars.
Now, the most honest people are seen begging, those who have houses and luxurious houses beg professionally. This begging has become a confusion nowadays because the real disabled people are not getting help because of these masked beggars.

There is money in begging now most of those you see begging without been handicap or disabled has already seen that there is alot of money in begging so they decided to make it as a professional work for themselves. There is nothing wrong if someone is stranded and decided to look for an assistance or maybe someone is sick and seriously need donation to help pay for the hospital bills or maybe you are disabled, but when you are fine, healthy and not disabled and you are begging on the street and making it a habit that's where it's wrong for me i don't give such people my money, even some disabled people now has something doing that keep foods on their table so why do i have to encourage someone who is fine to continue begging by giving him or her money.

Beging is never a profession, I think situation leads to beging, but people has changed it into business, I have had this experience you had sevarally, the thing is that, I do not care I give, not because I have much, but because I see giving as something that attracts blessing and give what I can aford to give, there are some people that have decided to be useless to the society and their family, just imagine somebody begging money not because of something important, just because he wants to satisfy his smoking urge, that is to show us how stupid some persons can be, I agree that most beggers are lazy minds, since their legs and hands are working perfectly, but we should also know that poverty have increased in many underdeveloped countries forcing many people to do whatever to survive, note this is not an excuse for anybody to beg when they can do menial jobs to surive, I'm just saying that hardship could be the reason why there are more intentional beggers these days.

This is inhumane of people to put people in that condition just to beg for money and bring it to them. Such people doing this needs to be apprehended and be put behind bars for destroying people's lives for selfish gains.
I also heard some beggers takes begging as a profession. But then again we should know there are people who have no choice but see themselves begging on the streets. They may going through some problems that gets them in that position.

Begging is a global problem, and in developing countries it has become a profession of its own. Even in countries like the US, many beggars work the streets. In many countries, such as those in South Asia, organized gangs run begging as a business by forcing poor people to beg. Some people genuinely cannot earn and have no other source of income, so begging is understandable for them. Unfortunately, according to one survey, 94% of beggars are professionals.

What, then, is the role of the government and the public? In my opinion, the government should identify the gangs that force people into begging and rescue the victims. After that, it should create sources of income for them so that they do not return to begging. In some areas, the police arrest beggars, which is unfair because arrests do not solve the problem.

It is true that most third world countries do this but I have not seen a case where children are getting kidnapped for no reasons.
Corruption and bad government can make bad people to kidnap children and parents with the hope that the government is going to come for their aid and pay ransom. Under developed countries are really in big shit due to corrupt politicians that are into drugs trafficking and abuse of children because they know that nobody can bring them to book due to their influence and power.
