I have many threads that I have "unwatched" and yet they still keep coming up on my unread list. Is this a bug? Am I doing something wrong?

Unwatch a thread only stops you from receiving watchlist notifications from that particular thread.

It does not automatically remove the thread from your unread posts list, most especially if there are still unread replies inside it.Give it some time, though and redo it.

Don't use https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=unreadreplies, use https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=watchlist instead.

This has been discussed I don't remember how many times. So, how about you try a little bit of forum search and read about Watchlist and the bells and whistles about it? It's not rocket science exactly...

You don't want to tell me (or others) you couldn't e.g. find this one by theymos, do you?

Yep, I asked a stupid question. Please don't tell anybody. I'll give you all my merit of the next month if you don't tell anyone.

Yep, I asked a stupid question.
It's not that stupid Wink It took me a while too to discover "Show new replies to your posts" doesn't interact with "Unwatch". Searching for "Watchlist" only makes sense if you already know that's what you need.

This sums it up:
I don't understand why anyone would not use the watchlist. You can configure the watchlist to be exactly the same as "show new replies to your posts" by configuring your posts to be auto-watched and adding your posted-in topics to your watchlist. After this is done, you can unwatch topics that you don't want to see.
