Unfortunately, no pizza shops in my area accepts bitcoin (yet). But my wife will be picking up our pizza tonight and is accepting my half of the cost in her Lightning wallet!

Anyone else paying for your pizza with bitcoin tonight?

Like yourself there is nowhere near me accepting Bitcoin for Pizza or anything else that I know of.

There is a work around or half way house by using a Bitcoin debit/Gift card. I use BITREFILL.

I wonder how many pizzas in each brand of pizza that Lazio could order in real time. I wish we could always measure the exact dollar amount worth of the various pizzas, over the years, in terms of x amount of pizzas and then have a historical chart demonstrating said stats. Unfortunately, BTC and 🍕 aren't that popular where I live. Is there a place in the world where both BTCitcoin and pizza are popular? Maybe there is, but I don't know.
If there was a place like that in my area, I would definitely become a 👩🏽‍🍳 professional  🍕🍕 pizza 🔥 maker, where I would only sell pizza in exchange for Bitcoin!🤗

If it was something not perishable it would have been better to keep as a collectors items but it being a pizza and also that Lazlo never imagined how this will be makes it understandable why he did not keep the pizza.
I think the real collectors items can be a form of the conversation lazlo had with the dealer, the conversation can be framed or something then have his signature or initials on it.

Belated Happy BTC Pizza Day to the crypto community here. Am a fan of this day myself considering that it's one of the very few unforgettable BTC memories out there for Laszlo himself and for many, many others like me imagining themselves in his position.

Dude could have probably bought out the orange clown and more with the money he spent on the pizza back then. Crazy stuff for sure.

In July 2010 Satoshi Nakamoto suggested Bitcoin donations as a way of covering their web hosting costs. Martti Malmi provided an address to receive these donations: 14EXchS9j3AAfim6mL4jtw6VWMosSUiG5U

This address is inactive until 2018, when it receives 0.00010000 BTC  The sender was none other than Laszlo Hanyecz, famous for buying a pizza for 10000 BTC in May 2010 - the first commercial Bitcoin transaction.

He presumably wanted to remind them of his great sacrifice.

It’s been long i eat pizza though this is because i am not a fan of it, but the pizza day celebration on the forum here from different threads have made me to go pick up two large family size pizza from a restaurant around me . It was nice, and I enjoyed it actually. But would have been nicer if I did pay with bitcoin just recreating the genesis of the celebration. But unfortunately my country has not gotten to that stage where bitcoin is use for such purchases and payments, but I know as the adoption continues grow we will get there!

But if I may asked, did you asked the seller of the pizza if he or she was willing to accept Bitcoin or not as payment for the pizza you just bought? Because sometimes, it is obvious he might have accepted but you didn't asked. Because for example, judging by how the history of the pizza day celebration came into play, we all know that back then in 2010, USA was never accepting Bitcoin as a medium of payment when Laszlo met Papa John's to trade 10,000 BTC for 2 pizzas. But it's only just that both parties were ready and willing to accept it for payment. Which is actually what's most important. So next time, I won't mind if you could ask if they do accept Bitcoin, because you never can tell.
