Market whales are the bigger investors and traders in the market. They do not rush the market and the market mostly falls in their favors base on their huge order which will absolutely affect the change in price of commodities, not just that but also altcoins and stocks. For instance, we can proudly say Elon Musk is a whale in the crypto market, we know exactly how he influenced the market with his tweets on X and also playing key roles in buying huge amount of coins. Illustration, when Elon Musk was CEO of the doge coin, he embraced good steps towards making huge profits and controlled the movement of doegecoin.

Do you believe market whales contribute to the downward and upward movement of the market? Oh yes I do believe because they hold huge amount of financial assets like Bitcoin and stocks and each time they do trigger their sell or buy clause, the market is kind of unbalance following these whales ordered in the market.

It’s just simple demand and supply dynamics and since the Whales have enough capital to kinda control the demand or supply, then they definitely have a role in the downwards or upward trend of bitcoin or whatever cryptocurrency.

You know even when we say News or political events can affect the market, it’s all about how the news influence people to either sell or want to buy more and other factors. So you can see that some whales with very huge capital can really somehow control to market either by buying more to reduce the liquid supply or by dumping and increasing the supply which will either make the price increase or decrease.

They don't really control the market, they just have enough capital to cause an imbalance. By imbalance we mean when the opposition has more capital to push price, using others investors as their liquidity. They do contribute alot in the market and sometimes it can make little investors hopeless. All market experiences this. Bitcoin for instance since we had the institutional purchasing power in the market, we have seen so much difference in how price reacts or responds. Before now bitcoins price was only influenced by the number of investors who were involved in the market. Now we have many bigger bodies who manage to push price in their favor using large capitals..

They don't control but influence the market through their actions which is mostly temporary (short-term) cause they market always recovers after every downtrend, they many have large amount of money to put in and take out of the market which leads to market manipulations but that's not total control.
Moreover they're not the only once who invest in Bitcoin shrimps too also have their role to play in demand/supply which is the major factor that controls Bitcoin price movement and also why we can't claim that whales control it, they can only influence it temporarily, Bitcoin has it's trend and controlled by nobody but "demand and supply".

I don’t remember writing or even seeing in my post where I said the Whales control the market. As you can clearly see in the part of my post you quoted, I said the whales have enough capital to “somehow control the demand and supply” so they have a “role” to play in the downward or upward trend in some scenarios. Having a role in the movement of the market doesn’t mean they control it, it means they have influence which is the same thing you’re saying..

Whales is not just to move Market with money alone, and sometimes it's influence and information too. You see one statement or a big transaction from a well known figures can change people's mindset quickly. But you see for this kind thing all this small investors need to sey careful because following whales blindly can be dangerous, alot of times before the ordinary or normal people will react whales has already position or prepared themselves ahead of time and that is why if person dey use emotions dey trade e go make m lose money well well and those big investors or players go dey benefit from the uncertainty

You clearly understand how an order book works when an unbalance in the market is triggered by whale movements.
These whales and large institutions are more responsible for the broader macro boundaries of the market by their buy or sell actions and it's right to say that, they are much more responsible for the resistance ceilings and support floors we witness in the movement of the market.
So it's adviced for a retail small time investor not to follow or invest by listening to them or following in their investment footsteps, else they lose out big time.

exactly it is all about the demand and supply projections on the market, for me whale is just a title given to someone holding large sum of a coin but when there is an action of grandios magnitude that's when the market can be affected.
Yes whales can contribute to the movement of the market either upward or downward but it is best you understand the mechanisms behind that and really what makes the market shift to any direction.

Sured they don't actually controls the market, it's just truly have a strong influence on the direction of financial markets because of the massive amount of assets they control, so whenever they buy or sell in large amounts or massive quantities it usually creates reactions among the beginner's or smaller investor who either panic sell or rush to buy, this can leads to sudden price increases. However, whales are not actually the only factor responsible for market  movement because global even or government regulations and investors sentiment also play an important roles, sometimes whales moves with a strategy and patiently, unlike many retail who traders who react emotionally. Thier actually can crat some opportunities for profit, but they can also increase volatility in the market, well the best thing to do as a beginner or investor is to just invest or focus in long-term strategy instead of following the market movements, caused by big players

The whales have an impact on market movement but they don't control the market. There is a huge difference between having control over the market and having an impact on the market, and that is because whales have enough capital to shake the market.

Most influencers follow up these whales for news that could influence the market amd track the best time to place a buy or sell order. It is evident that its all about demand and supply as a massive buy order would trigger a rise and a massive sell order would trigger a fall price.

If the demand for Bitcoin does not change even after the whale investors sell their holdings, then the whale investors will not have a big impact even after they sell. Even if the market mix changes, the price will be affected. When 100 Bitcoins are sold in the market, if there are buyers who are willing to buy 100 Bitcoins, then there will be no big change in the price. But the problem is, there are no immediate buyers to buy the amount of Bitcoin that the whale investors sell, so the possibility of a price drop also increases. That is why as soon as the news of a whale seller sells, other investors also sell some of their shares and traders also sell, which causes the price of Bitcoin to decrease due to the decrease in demand.

Remember where you said "whales have enough capital to kinda control the demand and supply"? That's what I was trying to clear you on cause if whales control demand and supply it means they control the market cause it demand and supply that determines whether the market goes up or down.
That's why I was trying to let you know that they don't control but influence the price movement on a short-term interval by putting more money into the market or take out large amount of money which mostly causes short-term dip. I'm not dumb okay, I read your post well to understand what you meant before quoting and clearing you on your mistake.

There influence in the market is not just a function of them being well but rather depends on what there buy and sell decision entails.

If a whale continues to buy and never sells, his existence in the market will only drive bitcoin to more bull. If his buys is insignificant compared to other whales sells, the effect of his buys will be minimally felt. Because there are a lot of factors that influences the movement of the market, the market only react when the cause of the reaction is extremely high and felt across board.
