I think this will work http://www.sgminerwindows.com/

add nfactor = 6, into your config file

Hm, interesting.

As this algoritm should be more efficient, does it also cause less heat?

It's quite hot outside here now, and my fans are blowing at 80% of their speed to get the temperature below 80 degees Celsius.

How much more efficient do you expect this coin?

So, it will launch in less than 5 hours? That's 9 PM over here, I'm not sure whether I can join at launch.

Do you have any pools ready? You should, a couple atleast Smiley.

Sounds interesting, I'll give it a go! Can you give some more details on the miner settings? Command line params needed would be perfect.

I'm afraid changing N from 1024 to 128 (N factor from 9 to 6) doesn't qualify as a really ASIC resistant thing.

litecoin is nfactor 10 or 1024
aiden is nfactor 6 or 64

And I answered that question already Tongue

Its currently asic resistant (due to cost to manufactor) but nothing is asic intolerant.

Wow you really gave it a new name as if you invented something. It's Scrypt-N. Lower N factor, that's it.

Be sure to check out OPs other successful coins, like Magic Internet Money (MIM) (which is dead - no buy orders on any exchanges) and Franko (slow death, the entire market cap couldn't buy a well equipped Honda Accord and the daily transaction volume isn't even the monthly payment leasing a well equipped Honda Accord)

edit: Oh and if "SpiryGolden" comes to his defense, that's one of his friends. He runs a twitter account for "altcoin-advice" but in reality spams Franko as much as possible.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014

LOL <3

I'll nibble because you dont deserve a byte.

MIM is scottii's coin I just helped develop it.

As for naming something nfactor 6, you are the only one who seems to care lol. Like on everyone one of my reddit post.

Vertcoin named their solution adaptive-nfactor, Aiden doesnt adapt, it is 6.

is it cooler than x11?

cooler as in, needs to wear shades and drive a nice car?

OR cooler as in, the heat produced?

Cooler as in heat produced. It is summer soon. BUt since it is still spring maybe i could still mine without using an AC on. How much heat will it produce?

Msg me if you want me to put anything here.

I would like to hear answers about that too. I assume, as it's supposed to be more efficient, it should atleast be cooler then Scrypt. But i'm not sure how this is related to x11, as I haven't mined a x11 coin yet.

To be honest, I think if you are pushing your hardware to the max it will produce the same amount of heat.
