Beware of scam projects out there ⚠️⚠️

So, I came across a project recently and it had a horrible ending. At first there was a lot of buzz and hype around it, and it was pumping like crazy, untill it came crashing down.

         

This token, ESPORTS was created mid 2025, and it is dumping up to 90% this year. I once heard from the forum that shitcoins are just created to drain people's funds, take a look at what they're cashing out, $13M+, this is crazy, like this space is full of scams and all.

I use to sometimes try seeing if there are any good projects out there that I can take advantage of their pump, but this is scary, this is barely a year and it is dumping like this. I ain't touching shitcoins again.

No need for speculations, this is purely a rug pull, a dev project to cashing out big, there is no utility, no problem solving, just create, hype, and then rug pull to cash out.

Advice: We all should just focus on investing in Bitcoin, I know a lot of us already have this sentiment, but for those who are just starting, and those thinking just like me, that maybe I can cash out from a shit project, well, it's a gamble, so it might be possible, probably after loosing a lot of money to some scam devs, but don't, apply the DCA method, and you'll come out better at the other side.

In this month, the coin increased to $0.836 before it started falling. It has falling to $0.04 . That was a massive fall of a coin within just one month.

It fell from 0.76 to $0.4 within 30 minutes 2 days ago. This is very common in crypto. The most noticable one last month was RaveDAO, but it is happening often.

If team have majority their token unlocked and a plenty amount of token just in circulating for marketing than it's really questionable. These rugpull are happening a lot recently. I think these hypes arw gets created artificially  by the team itself for securing a quick exit. Those KOLs are paid defenetly.

I don't know what is making some investors to used huge amount of funds in such new  project without thinking that the project is new in the industry, am not saying you should not use huge amount of funds to invest but don't let it be some projects that showcase some signs of failure in the future, which is what this project investors are experiencing now and if they are not careful to think positive, it may lead them to loss everything at the end. Assume they invest this kind amount of funds in bitcoin, it wouldn't create fear in them because other investors would have encourage them not to sell than to continue holding the bitcoin.

 I don't think this will serve as a warning to others who get excited when a new project introduces itself into the market. The way I see it, some developers know how eager as and sometimes greedy some people can get once there's a new token or coin trending. The hype alone will speak volumes that it's just a pump and dump designed to clear you of your money but they won't listen and when the project crashes, you'd see them whining and  cursing online. Trading is risky but there are some risks and losses one can avoid if they aren't desperate.

Don't jump on new shitcoins unless they prove themselves as trustworthy and real in development. This isn't new in this crypto industry; they come just to drain our wallets. Unless you take lessons from these types of scam projects, then probably you will lose funds constantly. At the beginning of a listing, they try to pump through various ways by creating hype, market-making and influencers. So when the price goes a little bit up, then they rug investors.

Developers aren't thinking about investors because they come here to rug pull investors' money. When there is a good price, then they will sell their holding that they call 'team tokens'. They sell all together, and the price will go almost near zero. Because almost all liquidity will be pulled by the scammer team, and nothing will be left for their investors.

Advice: We all should just focus on investing in Bitcoin, I know a lot of us already have this sentiment, but for those who are just starting, and those thinking just like me, that maybe I can cash out from a shit project, well, it's a gamble, so it might be possible, probably after loosing a lot of money to some scam devs, but don't, apply the DCA method, and you'll come out better at the other side.

Bitcoin is the best and strongest cryptocurrency, while with many altcoins which are mostly scams and the others are low quality and weak altcoin projects, investing or trading with such altcoins is very risky.

If people don't want to lose money with altcoins, they can stick with Bitcoin. Investment is safer and more likely profit guaranteed than trading so even with Bitcoin, let's do your proper long term investment by buying bitcoin, DCA it, and hold it a long time like several years.

Remember that scammers will continue creating new scam projects, with new scam trends in future years, so the number of failed, and died altcoins will not stop increasing.

Same old, same old. It will happen again and again as long as people don't learn. They are still waiting for the one that would make them rich overnight; meanwhile, the irony is that they will miss out on the one that could make them rich. Trump token went up about 11000%, before they rugpulled, yet people still missed it. That is how gambling is. You will leave a team that will play BTTS and bet on the match that will not play BTTS.

This is why there will always be victims. The prey thinks he can be the predator. There is no taking advantage of people who want to be scam. They are the ones who would take advantage of you. Once you see a coin pumping, it's best to avoid it, but if you must go into it, know that you're only gambling and would most likely lose. Bitcoin should be the only coin that you can buy, even if the price is going up, because even if it goes down, you can rest assured that it will go back up. Once a coin is pumping, and you haven't bought it, consider it as you've already missed out, that way FOMO won't affect you. You can buy when the price is down and take your profit when it's coming up, but still remeber that you are gambling.

Op, there is no how everybody will decide to focus on Bitcoin only, there are some that will think focusing on Bitcoin alone while some will focus on Bitcoin and other altcoins too.But it will not help them to make same income which it will be the reason they will not pay attention to such advice because they will feel investing their money in different coins in the decentraliz market it will increase their financial status in the future. With little experience I got from this community, I don't think anything will make me fall victim to those scammers, because is very easy to identify them unless you are the type of investor that is eager to make money by force in a wrong way.

Exactly this is something very common in cryptocurrency world. Things like  this don’t surprises us anymore because several time we have seen many new project like this that end up crashing drastically over period of short time some years some are just months so being caution of what we invest in and making proper research is what one should prioritize much before investing in any new project. 

 At times the smart decision to make is to invest in most reliable pairs that are trustworthy and known by many investors for trust and reliability.

It's the old trick repeating itself and today it's going to get worse because.

In the past it takes days or weeks to get a token up and running, today it takes seconds, and that's all thank to AI smart contracts deployers, I saw this coming, warned alot of people, no one cares.

Also beware of going to those projects to invest on them, they truly exist but until we go to them before we could fall a victim of their trap, there are dumps and pumps project that many are introducing to crypto networks and trying to use as come against others willing to invest in order for them to make profit but ended up in losses, shitcoins truly exist and we must be able to avoid them by all means.

Altcoins are risky and shitcoins are super dangerous or it's like you will mostly have loss by buying shitcoins. Searching and choosing a right shitcoin is very challenging and it's must match with a current hot trend too. The current hot trend is clear but by saying shitcoins, people will ignore leaders of that trend and choose later born shitcoins that are weak and cost them money with losses.

With shitcoins, spending money to buy them is for market speculation, not for your investment in this market. Why do I have to afford to lose money with shitcoins with hope of getting profit while with Bitcoin, I will get profit if I can hold it a long time.

When you see a coin pumping so much, you have to be so careful with a coin like that, you should know their are people behind the coin pumping it, and when they are satisfied with the pump, they going to dumb it on people. Most of the coins we see now are pump and dump coins, they are being pumped to get people’s attention, and after getting some recognition and people have invested in the coin, they crash the price.

Avoid pump and dump coins, you just going to be wasting money on them. You might want to take advantage of them, but they will be the one taking advantage of you because you just going to be losing money. If you want to invest, then bitcoin is  still the best coin, and if you are planning to invest in altcoins, then choose a strong altcoin,  the ones that have been in market for a long period of time.

Bitcoin is much safer. It's been around for a long time and has proven not to be a scam, and that's why it's highly recommended. If anyone does not want to invest in Bitcoin, it's better to invest in the established altcoins like ETH, BNB, SOL, XRP, etc. Putting money on an unknown altcoin or memecoin, like the one OP shared, they would likely get scammed.

To be very honest it pains me seeing people falling this cheap for things like this when their has been several warnings against shit coin in recent time and how it can crash in no time and leave those that are directly involve frustrated. However, I know many people are out there looking for a way further in life but let it not be that we intentionally put our own self into what won't  end us well all in the sake of hunting quick profits. Bitcoin is the only sustainable, reliable and the most secured investment plan I can ever think of in the crypto space. No much hype, no sweet talk, this is just the real fact about it and for those that are new in the system and seek a better place that is secure, then Bitcoin is just what they need to link up the secure future they have always want.
