Why do people feels depressed if they are on losing streak?

No one gets happy when you're on a losing streak, isn't it? But going into depression is another thing. Not all gamblers who are going through losing streak feel depressed after, but those who experience overwhelming financial stress and deep feelings of guilt or shame that lead to intense regret over lost money  could easily pave way for depression.

This is not specific to gambling alone. In anything we do, when the result is not going as we expected or anticipated it to go, we tend to fall into depression. So falling into depression after experiencing a losing streak just goes to show that they were expecting some monetary profit, but the whole gambling thing just wasn't ready to favour them, and in return, they fall into depression just to self-sabotage and try to blame it on themselves to try to remove it from their mind.

Since their aim is to win  and it's not coming but losing, despite using what they can afford to lose, when losing your games stays for a long time, then it becomes a thought of concern, it makes the gamblers looks as if he his a failure and does not what to improve , also among his peer groups, that is why you see some gamblers always lie about their games of always winning but in reality they are losing.

People feel depressed by their lossing because of the hopes that they put into the bets, more of them hav over confidence in themselves to the point that they practically put every sense of reservations and expects straight winning bets, most times those bet never com through for them and such reality can get them depressed most especially when they put in o much money expecting a jackpot winning.
