Why do people feels depressed if they are on losing streak?

We don't like losing but we don't want to be called losers. I won't be happy losing so much and that's why I'm trying to prove myself through recovering what I've lost.
But that's another mistake to be made by me and of course by everyone who's been gambling for a long time.
Losing streak doesn't make us feel hardcore gamblers even the beginners who recently gambled, they won't celebrate what they've lost.
So, losing money is depressing and it's the same when we're losing the bets and no one will tell how they've lost a lot.

Yes, that is the only reason why we don't feel good after losing, specially losing big money when you started very positive that you are going to win. But once reality sets in, you are down to your last bet and it didn't return anything, then depression takes over.

The thing is that there could be gamblers that might feel that low but then was able to recover the next day. But there could be the majority that can't get over with it and will have that kind of low and negative energy in the next couple of days.

Having that situation of able to recover quickly or by the next day is good.
But I don't think that many of us are getting through with that experience and most of us takes a while until we recover.
And there are the others that are no longer thinking of recovering because they are having a hard time of doing it.
They remain depressed and feel sad about it yet, they still gamble.

Not every gambler complies with the percentage you're making reference to that every gambler should at least be using for their gambling out of their weekly or monthly salary. This is as a result of a weak or total lack of discipline which the gambler is known with and as a result he can't control how much he has to spend each time he goes on to gamble. Some gamblers actually burn half of their income for the week, hence, the feeling of depression and sadness about the loss because it wasn't what they could afford to lose.

Expecting something and not getting it is usually what cause depression so if you're not expecting something and you're not getting it you can never be depressed over that thing you are not getting.

Depressed is too much, you are completely right. If you are "depressed" then there is something wrong, that is not what gambling is for and if you are doing this then it should not be your way of entertainment, find something else. You can be upset about a loss, that is normal, but depressed?

That's possible but most of us will get that frustration when we have gambled with emotion and not at all times that we're addicted when we become depress after losing. It's a normal emotional reaction when we get the exact opposite of what we're trying to attain.

Yes, if you take mildly then you're good at handling losses and that will not affect your emotional being. But if you're so emotional and gets too much of it when we gamble, that shows what kind of gambler we are and it will be a nicer thing if we don't gamble.

Seriously speaking, how can someone afford money to lose? The term itself seems wrong, even though we commonly use it. Any money is precious. Still for gamblers we make the provision of this term.

The bet always starts with small money for some, but as they lose, they keep on placing other small bets, which, when you compile all the money together for that very day, will turn out to be big money they can't actually let go of so easily. One thing we should know is that people just gamble for fun and not everyone who gambles as well gambles for fun also. Although there are those who have everything you could think of but they too gamble at leisure to reduce their stress and have fun. "it is said" does not mean every gambler out there is doing exactly the same thing, the 1% to 5% recommended to be spent on gambling from monthly or weekly income was recommended or suggested by somebody which is or was based on his or her own experiences, expenses and all, it will be nothing but foolishness for anybody out there to practice this same recommendation without first checking to know if after removing 1% to 5% of their monthly or weekly income, what is left will be enough to cater for other expenses until the next salary comes.

Because what brings about depression in gambling is mostly losing money one isn't prepared to lose, or spending above one's means and what they can afford and ending up losing it.
So to avoid getting into depression is very simple, treat gambling as fun and only risk even lower than you know you can afford to lose, this allows you play for longer and still, you won't incur significant loses incase there is no win for a long time.

In my opinion, it is obvious that any loss at least does not please a person. Even if the game is not for money. Even losing a game of chess is unpleasant. If a gambler loses money that he doesn't feel sorry for, it doesn't make him happy either (and it doesn't make him too sad).

But if such losses (even small amounts) turn into a continuous streak of failures, then this completely reverses the emotional state. It can be so upsetting that a person can sink into depression. For example, in such cases, I just stop playing for months!

I do think that I'm the only person that get angry when I see my ticket becomes loss even if I used the smallest of all money that will not have any effect on me, I just hate the fact that when I bet I get loss, even if I don't stake high I don't like to lose money but it's normal about human philosophy. If you lose it means there is something you are not doing well, this will help you understand gambling instead of blindly making bet with expectation that you are going to win and by the time you understand how to bet very well, common mistakes will become something of the past, even if you lose, your chance of winning will always be high.

It shows that he does not feel happy with gambling, the defeat of hitting it, not about the nominal loss earned, but anyone who gets tired in any case will not feel happy especially if the defeat is consecutive.

For the fact that a person gambles with an amount he or she can afford to lose, doesn't stop the fact that he won't get emotional if his prediction doesn't go as planned.
