Yes. We may be putting all our money into Bitcoin. But what about altcoins? No. I also agree, it's better to diversify into altcoins. Of course, BTC has already been removed from that diversification plan, because BTC is the major to invest. Altcoins sometimes seem very tempting, with their prices continuing to rise. But, not all rising altcoins will last long, even during a bull run or through years. It's not easy to maintain just one altcoin. Because once it becomes a scam and the project collapses or rugpull, we could lose all our money in the future. So, don't rush yourself to put all your money into one altcoin. It's too high a risk. it is always better to make diversification on some top altcoins if needed.

Perhaps Altcoins seem very tempting place to make money from their potential price increases. And some people take advantage of their high volatility to trade with leverage. But Altcoins come with a lot of drama that can make you lose money very quickly. You could fall victim to a liquidity exit, where early investors sell off their altcoins causing the price to crash. Various dramas like pump and dump schemes frequently occur with altcoins. Perhaps a specific reason such as a hack might serve as a smooth excuse to deceive. And there have been so many reported incidents like that lately.
As far as am concern, alt and meme are more of gambling than investment, it's only Bnb, ethereum and Solana that has proven to be reliable a bit, but you see these new coins that are getting into the market every day, they are all full of shit, that's why we should only be gambling on them with 10% of our discretionary income, so that if it fails as expected, we wouldn't be bothered or affected financially. Anyone that invest all of his or her money in them are just ignorant on how alt and meme coin behaves, because no knowledgeable and informed fellow will go all in on them, since they falls more than they rise.

However, that doesnt mean we have the right to pour all our money into bitcoin. Although Bitcoin is much safer than altcoin, investing all your capital in a single asset class can still be considered more like gambling than investing. Therefore, diversification is both necessary and advisable. However, not by spreading into altcoin. Instead, invest in assets that are not related to crypto. Diversification only truly makes sense when we allocate capital to unrelated assets. If you invest 90% in Bitcoin and 10% in altcoin, that is not diversification.

Altcoin only go up when Bitcoin goes up, but in many cases they tend to rise much harder and deliver significantly better returns. That's why many people are willing to take the risk of allocating a portion of their capital to altcoin.
Take the 2022 bear market as an example. Bitcoin fell to $15k while Sol dropped to $10. If you bought BTC at that price, your profit would be 800% when BTC reached $126k. But if you invest in Sol, the profit you earn will be x30 when the price reaches $290.
The higher the risk, the greater the reward.
This is why I say that only top 5 or 10 alt coins listed on CMC can be considered for investment after Bitcoin. Not every alt coin in the market has the potential to go up like the example you quoted of Sol. It is always a good approach to buy Bitcoin or top alt coin on dip but keep in mind that if a new alt coin goes down in price then it might not go up again and if you are investing at that moment then your money will be struck for ever or for indefinite period of time. There are countless examples of alts that went down in price after launch and never went up again.

It is good to spread out your investments when dealing with Altcoins at least to expand your chances of not loosing it all. It is also more advisable to limit your Altcoins of interest to also help you minimise your chances of loosing more money because there's no guarantee that buying more Altcoins would give you profit at the end. You can focus on the Altcoins you understand and forget other ones. There's one thing about people that venture into Altcoins, they are gamblers and risk takers. Most of them don't listen to any advice that's against their wish. I am not against their opinions either, but being cautious is very important to help you minimise your losses at the end of the day.

Imho it's when it's in either going sideways or when it's in very slow upwards trajectory when the magic happens. And different size caps behave differently in different phases. First money goes to large caps, then it slowly drips down to lower caps, and some of them start to rise significantly because you don't need that much capital to pump them, then people get interested on lower and lower marketcap coins. Some of them confuse low marketcap with low price, And coins with microscopic price (per one full coin) are often by design to lure in ignorant investors.

Altcoin especially the new ones with promising claims, don't just take their words for it, always take caution by investing with a comfortable amount, there is a very high chance for new projects to fail down to succeed, even projects that has prepared a good utility might not survive the market condition, always invest reasonably.

I think that is still considered as diversification, as long as you buy your personal money with different types of assets even though you think some of these capital being used on them are totally separated. Altcoins sometimes seem very tempting, with their prices continuing to rise. But, not all rising altcoins will last long, even during a bull run or through years. It's not easy to maintain just one altcoin.
You must be referring to the tokens here already because a true altcoin are long lasting, although they can have a moment for their growth to get stunted as well. Maintaining one altcoin is actually pretty easy only. I mean because it is only one altcoin anyway lol. There is no real pressure than managing a couple more altcoins. But in the context of being a scam, same impression can also be said that we may not lose more than if we diversify on many scam projects.

You know title itself gave me Goosebumps when i see Puting all money into a single altcoin. Even when professional recommend to invest a person in Bitcoin they always say not to invest all the money. And you can imagine if someone invest all the money in Altcoin, it could vanish anytime some alts goes to complete zero. Everything could be risky fiat, Bitcoin, altcoin (highly) so diversify your money wisely when you invest.
Investing all money in altcoins is not advisable because altcoins are not a coins that can be rely on, altcoins are not a coin that someone should invest all their money or have intention to do that because it will not work out as you ever planned. Even the bitcoin that is more stable coin to invest in sometimes he went wrong talkless of a coin that are normally not stable.

During bull run that is true, but also on the bear run things go from down to up. It all means, when you are going up in the crypto market, first bitcoin goes up, then whenever people make enough profit form bitcoin, that means alt coins also go up as well. But when the market is on a bear run, first people sell their alts and keep their bitcoin if they can, and then they sell their bitcoin very last. This is why it's quite obvious that making money in bitcoin all tied to bitcoin and how it moves. A single altcoin could mean that if it doesn't utilize the bull run, but it hits the bear run then you are going to end up a lot more and it will not be easy for you at all, the end result will be very bad for all involved.

I don’t even advise people to invest in all this shitcoins entering the market now, because instead of making money, you just going to be losing everything you have. If you want to invest in altcoins, then choose the strong ones in the market, choose the coins that have been in the market for years instead of all this new projects, because they are just created by scammers. Anyone that invest all of his or her money in them are just ignorant on how alt and meme coin behaves, because no knowledgeable and informed fellow will go all in on them, since they falls more than they rise.
Either you investing in bitcoin or altcoins, don’t invest all your money into bitcoin, and don’t invest everything you having into any altcoin, make sure you diversify, and make sure some of your money are not in crypto space, you can get physical investment or business which you can start up with some of your money.

Is putting all your money in cryptocurrency even a thing talk more or less of altcoin? Is that even realistic? Maybe it is for some but for me it’s not! I can’t even fathom holding an altcoin up to 10 percent of all my investments. Altcoins in my perspective are just some things I gamble my money with and if possible I just stake them is pieces maybe one will fall into the right position and yield something better. However I don’t believe anyone one will even try to put all their eggs in one basket and then to put it in an altcoin.

Putting all your money on a single crypto even on bitcoin, is not a smart choice, it needs to be spread across other things, so that we can have better sleep at night even if one of them is going to reach zero. If you are investing on a new altcoin, then I would not recommend any more than 5% of your crypto portfolio value on it.

Altcoin is a high risk investment and not advisable for patronage, marketing shows its power every single time, they must be people's interest in the closet of promises and future expectance of riches. The threat the investors would find out later when the altcoin fail to perform as shared on internet discussion groups by marketing agencies.

Diversification might be a way to avoid that risk. But the risk of losing a lot of money can still happen. I think it’s better to put all your money into Bitcoin.
When considering diversification, make sure you choose from the latest blockchain sector that can push the price upwards a little bit. You should be alert that to also sell off immediately when plans are been awarded politely. Looking well for greater diversity, you gotta be looking towards what diversity is all about.

Not all latest is good option to choose, there are project using new tech but eventually they would just scam those people will try their luck to invest on their project. So what best diversification choices to do is to select the well established top altcoins in the market. Since they provably won't go wrong if they pick best alts and have knowledge on how they could deal with those coins. if they just look for new its like they are chasing only those hype alts and I find it pretty dangerous because there are lots of rug pulls there.

Yes. We may be putting all our money into Bitcoin. But what about altcoins? No. I also agree, it's better to diversify into altcoins. Of course, BTC has already been removed from that diversification plan, because BTC is the major to invest. .
Even for Bitcoin I do not buy into the subject of putting all our money into Bitcoin cause Bitcoin has a risk too but it varies from that of altcoins that are like gambling coins for developers and early purchasers dumping it. Any money we are to invest in cryptocurrency it should be what we can afford to lose. If a total of $10000 into cryptocurrency is what you can afford to lose, you can allocate 80% to Bitcoin and spread the remaining 20% over different altcoins for diversification. In any case you are investing with what you can afford to lose and not all your savings money or income.

Altcoin especially the new ones with promising claims, don't just take their words for it, always take caution by investing with a comfortable amount, there is a very high chance for new projects to fail down to succeed, even projects that has prepared a good utility might not survive the market condition, always invest reasonably. Altcoins have one of the most disappointing project team and because their aim is to create different projects and make money, they are not really after the consequences of their actions. They are ready to create a project, hype it using influencers in the market and when the project crashed, invetsors would put the blame on themselves or people that asked them to buy the tokens. We must be used to the pattern on how these bad actors works so that we don't get too emotional failing to invest in good projects that would have been beneficial to us.

Don't depend on any altcoin, altcoin investments are high risk investment. It's often difficult to know which altcoin will do well or which one will rug pull at the very end, invest what you can afford and lose incase the project fail, don't take altcoin investment serious like you would for Bitcoin. Altcoins do have central authority, meaning that it is a business to the founders, no form of decentralization and whatever development by the founders is focused on profiting themselves.

Well, we know Bitcoin won't be going to zero anytime soon. It's too big to fail. Any massive dip, will bring whales and institutional investors back in the game. This will cause a rebound in market prices faster than you can imagine. It's like saying Gold will lose 60% - 80% of its value overnight. It will trigger a massive buying spree, causing prices to rise at a fast pace. But in altcoins, that's another subject. They're widely unproven and centralized (most of them). This brings many unecessary risks, that could dip prices all the way down to zero. I've seen many "good" altcoins with a promising tech, only to lose their value in an instant. That's why diversification is key in the altcoins world. You'd be better diversifying into several top-tier altcoins alongside Bitcoin itself. Low cap altcoins aren't recommended because they have a higher risk. They take a long time to recover (if they ever do). Do your own research and you'll see what I mean.
