Like I have always said and I will keep saying it, it’s better to invest an amount of money that you can afford to loose on altcoins, as I think that most altcoins doesn’t have a future, which is why it’s never good to invest a certain amount of money on altcoins that would bother you, I can’t invest in altcoins for a long term plans, if I’m investing in altcoins it should just be for the short term investment, then when I have gotten a certain amount of money that I’m satisfied with then I can sell off that altcoins, investing in long term I would channel my focus on bitcoin, since that is a more profitable investment for a long term plans.
Investing in alts that are not in top 10 or 20 alts listed on CMC is a big risk. If you are going for a newly launched alt then you are just gambling with your money. Only handful alts like ETH can be considered for long term investment because they have given some good return in the past to its investors. If someone is investing for long term then he must go for Bitcoin and for such purpose there is no need to look here and there. If you have spare money that you can afford to lose, I will suggest even that money should go for Bitcoin or in top alts.
