Yeah, this is a true-life story. It happened yesterday. My neighbor got into a serious fight with his wife because she brags about her wins in gambling a lot. I want to know if this is something you can do? Like, when your partner wins more than you do, do you get jealous?
But why they are competing to each other while they should be sharing the experience of profit since they use the same money. A man lose means the woman lose too and vice versa. I don’t understand why would someone be upset if their partner won while he is not winning. He should be more happy because her partner manage to recover part of his losses through her win. Gambling together is indeed bad idea for a couple. I remember playing overcook on Nintendo Switch with my wife and we argue a lot of times due to the intense co-op mechanics.

I'm not in support of two partners, maybe a husband and a wife, to be both involved in gambling. I thought I'd seen it all, but this time the woman not only gambles, but she also gets to win more than the man. After winning, she brags about it a lot to the ears of the Man, and unfortunately, he got upset and hit her hard on the chin.

Well I believe something for sure that people react the way they do for a reason either good or bad. Maybe there was something behind the scene that you dont know or maybe a part of the story they didn't explain to you but either ways I don't see any valuable reason that would make a couple fight over one winning more than the other, I can't put blame on anyone because the story isn't complete. One thing I know for sure is that people had used emotions attached to gambling to destroy their homes but most times it's usually 1 partner that's addicted but in this case if the 2 of them eventually becomes addicted I wonder what the fate of their children would be.

this is a funny story though, but i dont think its necessary for a man to get upset because his wife makes mockery of him after she win more than him. if i and my wife gamble and she win more than me i cant pick a fight with her or get upset with her because it was meant to be fun. this can only happen to a childish couple and not matured couple who understood each other. The element of maturity in relationship plays a great role in approaches such as financial success. Jealousy will result in anger only showing how one fails to manage the ego. It will take a healthy relationship to be able to support each other in the other partner. Physical confrontations on trivial situations reveal that they lack self control and respect the ties of love in the family.

Lol, two partners live together so if one wins it is both their win and if one loses it is both their loss. The reason is that the money they are using in gambling is their family money if they did not use it there or lose it they would have spent it on their family. I never like it when both husband and wife gamble in a family because gambling is very addictive so if both husband and wife are addicted then they will never be able to improve financially. They will slowly be destroyed financially. Because no one can help them to recover from gambling if one of them gambled then maybe the other one could help him to recover from gambling.

I'm the one who introduced online gambling to my partner. She's not interested actually (Thank God). But on some occasions, we casually play slots, roulette, or crash games together. We play together using one account, my account. We usually take turns playing and we have fun. I never get jealous when my partner wins something. My partner also does not overreact to her wins. Only casually showing she's smarter than me, when it's actually about luck The problem with those people that you mentioned is probably because they see gambling as a competition rather than a way to have fun together. The wife is overreacting, the husband's ego is above the limit too. They should treat their partner as a gambling partner, not someone they want to beat.

Don't expect people to believe this, they will likely say it's a made up story, and the way you put it isn't confusing enough but I am in support because I have seen something similar but with the wife hitting the husband, the money was meant for bills and the husband wasted it all on gambling and the wife got pissed that she had to hit the husband, they nearly broke up on that week, it took that long before some elder in my area intervene and help them to put an end to the fight. The wife also gambles but one doesn't brag about winning more than the other.

You don't need to be jealous because your partner wins more than you do because it's clear that she's lucky to bet at the right time. That shouldn't lead to a fight despite the bragging. He should be happy with her so that, she wouldn't brag to him anymore and if she continues bragging, it's just to turn a deaf ears on her. If the husband knows that gambling is all about luck, he wouldn't hit her only if he's jealous of her wins.

Jealousy and envy are a part of our character traits as human beings, when people that are close to you are progressing more than you it is normal to feel envious of them but for ever individual the moment of envy differs, to some, it is a matter of seconds, minutes, hours and others it will take days or years. If one gambling friend is winning more than the other it is not good to rub it in the face of the loser friend, there can be light bragging but it shouldn't go beyond that level.
Gamblers should learn to be happy for their friends and spouses that are winning more than them because tomorrow might be their own turn, if the winning friend's bragging is getting to you what you can do is politely ask them to stop. If the person is not reasonable to stop the best thing is to give the person some space by changing your location from them.

Am still trying to believe how possible it was for both couples to be involved in gamble at the same time. But anyway regardless, love within them should have supersede beyond hate, perhaps through cooperation between them the money realize from gambling winning should have being use for something tangible. However, if it's true that the husband is jealous of his wife towards her winnings streak then it's wrong because he's surpose to be happy for her after all they are one and will benefit from it together.

God forbid, games have always existed, let me explain better even in ancient times people gambled with bone dice and other ancient stuff the game serves to unite not to separate and serves to pass time, not to ruin one's future life for this reason you should only play what you can lose.

They are already in a toxic relationship and wether they are both gambling or not, they will still get involved in fighting and abuse themselves because there's no respect between them. If you're with a partner that's jealous of your win, doesn't that suggest that you don't have a home with such person? If it were to be a united family, one person's win should serve as a serious encouragement to the other party and should naturally bring joy rather than jealousy to the home. For those that are wondering if two partners can be gambling, it's very possible because if they were gambling separately before Marriage, they will still continue gambling individually even after they have becomes marriage though it's a risky thing for the families finance.

The man needs to go for a psychiatric test. He might be suffering from some mental problems that he is not aware of. There is no need to beat your partner because of jealousy. In fact, I even want her to keep winning so that she will be giving me financial assistance in the family. I don't know why people compete with their partners. There was a time my partner was earning more than I, and I was happy with her. She ensured that the family didn't lack anything she could afford. Marriage should be complementary and not competitive.

No, I won't be jealous, in fact I will be happy to see my partner winning more than me. Because if that is your partner then her or his success is your success as well. So I don't understand where the jealous is coming from. Are they in competition as who is going to win more money? Bragging her winnings might rub off his partner in the wrong way. But still though, if she is winning then I'm seeing that she might be giving his partners some money too to gamble.

Well, good thing my wife isn't into gambling. I'm the only one gambling in the family, so jealousy will never be an issue.
But let's say even if we're both gambling, still I don't find the validity that a man should hit his woman just because she brags his frequent wins. The couple should be a team, not as competitors, so whether who wins or lose most often, that shouldn't be given an issue, but instead the husband should still celebrate his wife's consistent wins.
However, it's hard to expect a healthy relationship if both are actively gambling. Maybe I'm not just open to the idea that a wife should also enter gambling as much as the husband did.

The man may not be addicted to gambling but his tolerance and ability to cope have been affected. He has experienced winning before which is why he gets excited when his wife wins. There are many cases where the husband is constantly gambling but his wife does not know about it. Again, the wife is gambling but her husband is not. When both of them become completely addicted to gambling they will lose a lot of money. They will not always win but they can always lose. Therefore, gambling should be done according to one's ability and kept away from the family.

It's likely that this couple has an unhealthy relationship, but on the other hand, they both might just like to joke around. However, if the man's actions were truly serious, such as hitting her, then I can confirm that their relationship is unhealthy and that the man is also likely addicted to gambling, making him jealous when he sees people around him win big while he loses, regardless of who it is. Logically, if they were a married couple, they should both be happy when they see one another win, as the money is used for both of their living expenses.

When two peoples start from the same point and one moves forward a little fast then the second one comparing himself with him and that comparison leads to jealousy. In gambling where emotions and money both are involved so it is obvious. The real problem that u explained here is not the wife who won more but it is about how both can handled the situation. Constant bragging can definitely hurt ego specially when a person is already on losing side but as a mature partner control over emotions is more important instead of reacting with violence or physically. From my personal experience if my partner win i will be happy because he/she is not my competitor at least it is our win. If we see at a bigger picture gambling already brings stress or frustration even a very high emotional pressure so when two peoples are already involved in it and also they comparing themselves with one another even consistently bragging each other so in that type of situation even a small issue can turn into a serious fight . The one u tells us in your post is the real example of that.

Firstly, he's a piece of shit, your neighbor. If you hit your wife hard on the chin, you must know - you are a piece of shit. And secondly, he's not only a piece of shit, but a piece of shit loser, who is unable to cope with the reality. His wife should leave him and find a man who’d be happy about her winning.

No. But what actually caused the quarrel can be different. The woman can be saying something annoying to her husband. Something like he is not winning, that she is the one winning. So far my wife is not going beyond her woman lane, there is no problem. Her progress in life is what I wished for. But it should not even be about gambling.

I think your neighbor is a complete idiot, and his wife absolutely should leave him. There is no reason to waste your life on a man who is not only jealous but also raises his hands against her. A woman can say whatever she wants, that is never an excuse for violence. Using force in that situation is a sign of his mental weakness. Forgiving that kind of behavior is a huge mistake. If a man feels such a strong urge to hit a woman and even thinks she deserves it, then he should go outside, find someone bigger and stronger than himself, and try swinging his fists there instead. Showing strength against a weaker woman does not require much courage or intelligence. Personally, in that situation, I would make a Voodoo doll and perform a ritual for poverty and impotence in a cemetery, film it all on video and send it to him so he can shit himself and wait for a trick from the Universe
