Anyone using ChatGPT for betting analysis?

Well, this is something that i have done before so I from my experience i would say that it doesn't really work, it is better to do your analysis instead of relying on Ai. chatgpt wasn't created to give accurate bet predictions on sports games, it can be used to get vital informations on a lot of things but cannot be used to predict the future like a lot of people think. Personally I use chatgpt to compare my own predictions but I don't just take predictions from it and make my final decisions based on the results that it provides. Even though you plan on using Ai make sure you don't rely on it.

Of course, AI can make mistakes, so we shouldn’t blindly trust its answers, but four games aren’t enough to draw any conclusions about the usefulness of AI predictions. In my opinion, AI can be very useful when deciding where to place a bet. I don't use chatGPT, as it is blocked from being used in my country, so I tend to lean in favor of Gemini.
I ask her about many things which are related and unrelated to gambling and betting. When comes to betting in football I ask her about her opinion of the possibility of some outcomes, and why she believes some team has advantage over others.
Though, it is not something I do pretty often and I mostly reserve using AI for football and baseball matches which catches my attention and which I don't have much information myself to build my own analysis and take a choice.

In the end, AIs are not magical and they do not have the answers for everything, they mostly work with information which is publicly available for everyone to see, so they can also commit mistakes if they pick bad quality information up.

I feel there is not much discussion here about using AI tools and our own prompts for betting analysis.

Previously, the topic about relying on AI for predictions has already been discussed many times here. Maybe people are just getting tired of talking about it because the answer is still the same as before.

Betting analysis may occasionally contain lineup or player-role inaccuracies, especially close to game time, during playoffs, trades, injuries, or roster changes.

That’s why until now I don’t really rely on AI for analyzing matches anymore. One thing that made me lose trust was when I asked about injured players for a match, but the AI ended up giving injury stats from past seasons instead. I ran into that kind of mistake a few times before. So, because of experiences like that, I still don’t really trust AI for predictions.

So you have to try to know everything from your own experience or from other places or through research. Taking help from ChatGPT for analysis is definitely a good thing, ChatGPT can definitely present all aspects beautifully among us and I use ChatGPT for a lot of analysis but, never used it for betting.

I do not ask ChatGPT to predict the outcome of a football match for me, i only ask the Ai to provide me with statistics of the match just like you do. I must say that ChatGPT is very good at giving match statistics, and it is also useful for doing research.

However, asking ChatGPT to predict the out of games you want to bet on is something i cannot encourage gamblers to do, because you may end up losing in sports betting all the time. ChatGPT cannot accurately predict the out of football matches, i have tried it several times and ChatGPT kept giving me misleading forecasts.

Usually I ask it to collect stats for specific matches together with injuries, recent form and possible value on odds. OC I don't follow everything blindly, but as assistant for research and analysis I think it is pretty good.

It can only access public information and odds are already based on all public information specially if it is related to big leagues. I think it can help us much more for lesser played markets.

No, not for sports betting but I am using it to improve my poker game. Doing solver practice is quite boring and AI can approach one simple fix through various angles, it just makes it more interesting.

I don't use any AI assistance services, but I do agree that it can speed up research, especially for injury reports, history, and stats.

Still, I do enjoy doing it all manually. I mean, it doesn't even take much time for me anymore because I know where I will go, and most of the sites that I visit often are already bookmarked in my browser. I don't really trust using AI for my betting needs. I have the feeling that somehow it will affect my decision-making if I see the prediction made by the AI. Just like the websites that offer predictions, which I don't really use.
It's all up to the user. If he thinks it will be helpful and can speed things up, especially for those who need to go back to work, then I guess it is a good platform for them.

Actually, I tried it once or twice but the results were hilariously bad. The "kind of" analysis of the match I was interested in had so many mistake, it wasn't even funny anymore. Sure, AI is learning and most likely it already improved again since I tried that but at that point I was thinking, how would anybody ever use that to make a decision on what side to bet? It talked about players that left the team a year ago and other nonsense. 

When I saw this it was just to funny because I remember the same thing happened to me, I tried it like twice and I got the worst results I don't think they should be relied on because you will end up getting a very bad results because I don't think they have given a good prediction, so it is better to continue doing your thing your self than relying on Ai it won't be funny at all because am very sure you will be disappointed at the end of the day. And Ai is actually learning but I don't think am trusting it to handle my games anymore and gambling platforms might be see them as a threat but I don't think they should see it that way because we all have tested it and we all got a bad results in return.

For sure, AI (chatGPT for instance) can be helpful in making analysis but for someone that doesn't review the information that got from the search on the AI, they can still make wrong prediction and still lose their bet. I have tried to test the AI time ago but what I did was ask it to give a detailed analysis on the teams I have to it  and sit all necessary states and reason why the team will perform as I thought it would ans the result was fast, it matched with my analysis but their were so much probability talk by the AI. So, I would say in terms of analysis, it is fast.

not chatgpt, but i used grok on gosubetting tipster challenge for club world cup 2025, and by only following grok predictions, from around 50 people who joined, i got 10th on the leaderboard, it was a fun experiment at the time.
with AI models being much better now, i guess i would get a higher spot if i try this again.

from 63 predictions i followed, i got 5 exact ones, 11 with a score difference of 1 goal, 21 correct winners, and 26 failed ones.

I have narrowed my analysis to just few important things like how they have performed of recent in terms of scoring and conceding and just presence or absence of their key players, this and few other information is enough for me to make my selection. AI may have this information but the presentation may not be as I would want it and this will give me extra work which is what I don't want to do.

I'm not surprised seeing people in making use of AI to this stage because they think that it is mostly applicable to every thing they do even in gambling, but we are expected to know that there are limitations to some of these improvised artificial intelligence bots, which shrinkage them to what they can do and the ones they cannot, but we are the ones that over exaggerate on them thinking that they can be applicable at all times in gambling and give us the required results we wanted.

For me personally AI was actually more useful than I expected, specially for NBA and tennis.
Not saying it can magically predict games, but it helps a lot with checking player form, injuries, playstyles, motivation spots and sometimes finding value bets faster.

Using AI as a super fast research assistant or data cruncher is most common way to keep our sports bet more accurate. Earlier we used to waste hours searching for match stats, current form and breaking news on injuries. AI now does this work in the blink of eyes and saves us valuable time. I have seen great result using AI to find out the details especially in leagues or sports that I do not have time to follow regularly. I myself have used this way to make my bets on football matches more accurate and have seen great result. If you dont have enough experience on that particular sport you want to place a bet on, then only using AI will not help at all.

You know whenever I'm thinking of what to do, my instincts don't even go there because I know AI can't give me what I want, moreover AI is not in a position to predict or help us analyze football game because they are not created for that purpose I think their role is far from this thing we are asking them to do and of course since they are not created for this purpose what did you expect? Definitely they will give you whatever their instincts tells them.

Those are quite few considerations when comes to analysis on sports, though.
How accurate are you with that little bit of data? Just out of curiosity, because when I have spare time I actually go beyond just recent performance and the presence of start/ key players in both teams.
I start to do a little bit of research on history against specific rival teams and even see if I can find some injury information on Google.
When comes to doing some in-depth research, artificial intelligence has become very useful.

But I get what your point is, it does not make sense to invest one's time using AI if one's results are lack-lustre when compared with someone who does basic analysis and uses common sense and get consistent good results.

There is no example of AI giving better betting results. Even if AI is effective in analyzing data, it cannot actually bring you a win. That is why betting on AI can increase the chances of losing. I think everyone should do their own research. I have not gotten good results even after following prediction sites in the past. That is why I think that if someone does their own analysis, it can give better results. However, there is no logic in always having their own analysis correct. It is never possible to ensure 100% winning in betting. That is why you should not rely 100% on AI or anything else.
