We often hear about the word hype in the crypto space, and peradventure the word now entails a bad figure which is wrong. Basically hype isn't actually a bad thing but then it's often used by the wrong people like scammers ,influencers and so on....
Why I said this is because you will only consider something a hype if that thing has shown you that it doesn't have value. So yeah it's somehow confusing, but then most coins that actually have value are also hyped. That's why to me, in every hype one must ensure to do research beyond what they tell us. That's the only way to differentiate a hype with just promises from a hype with actual value.
That said everyone wants to sell their commodities, advertise their project's and so many more and you can't do that without hype. So yeah considering the fact that hype is used in the wrong way it is our duties to always be aware if what an influencer ,producer or a developer is hyping, if it's actually worth it. So yeah doing research is the only truth to differentiate hype's with empty promises for hype's with actual value........
Yes I 100% agree with u, hype in this space is a necessity, without hype, ur project is going no where. But, DYOR is the very basic, the fundamental of every investment venture u intend to embark on. Don't just follow hypes blindly cause some of not all are just absurdly exaggerated, I mean, that's why it's called a hype, right? But after d hype, DYOR, check every unit of d project, see what are factual and what are noises, don't take there word for it, that's like very important.
When I started this space, although not with Bitcoin, my friend kept hyping crypto to me, d web3, e.t.c, and because he was making money too from it, I aped in without DYOR and got burned. I learned my lesson and became a better investor, so yeah, hypes are there, and are not necessarily a bad tyn, but DYOR too, that is very essential.
