This is not where I thought it would go. I assumed it was regards to not letting people know about how much bitcoin you have, so that you would be safe, but by the looks of it that is not what this is about at all, this is definitely not something I assumed this where it will go.

I honestly think that it is smart to not let anyone know how much bitcoin you have, because we have heard a lot of stories about people getting kidnapped and killed over their bitcoins, but this is not what OP is talking about at all.

I'm Gen X and already most of my peers never felt that. I didn't have to. But I understood from quite young that the government doesn't have your best interests. I understood in adulthood that not only don't they... but in many cases the state is actually malevolent towards its people.

It is wild how today's youth willingly feeds the data-harvesting machine, trading their absolute privacy for the mere convenience of intrusive apps and digital trends. By constantly feeding corporate and state databases, they are volunteering the very tools used to surveil and control them.

You shouldn't share how much money or assets you have with anyone outside your close family. Bragging about having dozens of Bitcoin doesn't gain you anything, it only attracts criminals to you. To protect yourself and your family, avoid talking about these kinds of things publicly.

What they don’t know they can’t take it. Some people forgets the main security is the mouth, and when it is closed, you are safe. Once it is opened, from then henceforth, you expose yourself to danger. Bragging about one’s assets and investments has caused many people to lose their lives, not just their assets.

Indeed, when we talk too much and reveal too much to others, we only make ourselves more vulnerable to exposing our own weaknesses. The same goes for business. We only need to share what’s necessary to spark interest without laying everything out on the table like plans, strategies, and the like. Because, especially in the business world, we know that sometimes we don’t even know who our true allies or adversaries are. Additionally, we must always have a Plan B and a Plan C. And, of course, we must ensure no one finds out that we have those backup plans.

Its not bad to keep some specific information of business private because if you take creative ideas and strategies private then you would br protective from unnecessary competition. But sharing informative strategies with trusted friends and employees gives benefits because trust always comes through strong relations and with honesty. The important thing is to finding balance between trust and loyalty. Also your point is very valid to taking backup in business because business changes so quickly so we should be prepare for it already. Its doesn't means that success is secure with hiding decision but success is also requires adaptibilty and strong network. So if an individual is careful about the planes and strategies about business and have the ability to chose right people for bussines he get guaranteed success in this business and grow it consistently.

Bitcoin is also inclusive, if you get to understand the post well enough because Bitcoin is also money and just like not letting people know your net worth that includes money in the bank and investment portfolio, Bitcoin investment is also in the mix.
You are right about the ills that can come from people having knowledge of your finances and investment and that's why it's imperative to keep this part secret that even those who are close friends and family have no bracket knowledge of your worth.

It's better to be underestimated than to be overestimated as a strategy to be safe and progressive.

Have you watched The Devils Advocate (1997)? My best scene in the movie is when Milton says to Lomax: "Don't get too cocky my boy, no matter how good you are. Don't ever let them see you coming...You gottta keep yourself small; innocuous..." That's no ordinary dialogue my friend and you can apply it in how you handle your business and finances, be it bitcoin or fiat.

It is suicide telling everybody you have X bitcoin, or how rich you are. Yes you get that dopamine rush, but in the end it is counterproductive. I prefer to be underestimated, let people imagine what they want and i save myself from a $5 wrench attack.

I get your drift op, but your title needs to make more sense.

What is said on title is also said on subject but it is still weird. Instead of 'no one' he can just said anyone, because 'no one' gives it a different meaning already, as his subject is also saying that we should not let anyone know about our everything.

Naturally, it's not a wise decision to always disclose your moves because when you think all is well, those people you told your secrets might be the ones to hurt you if things begin to look up for you.

Even if you are still starting but if you let someone know your moves, they may like discourage you on your journey but instead of being affected negatively, that should be our motivation to push further and prove them that they are wrong. This is where they can now look positively at you. On another view or if you move in silence, and then once you showed up being successful, there will still be people that will hate you for that. Also it can be because you hide your process to them, and that they don't have a chance join the ride. Maybe some of them are genuine though, so it can also be situational.

We've heard of stories about people who have lost their Bitcoin just because they got too excited and told people.

There are many who indeed lost their Bitcoin but many of these are hacked from another side of the country, from the people they don't know and haven't heard their stories yet. But in terms of BTC adoption, it is also a good idea if we can spread awareness about BTC to others that don't know it yet. There should be boundaries though.

With the high rate of insecurity in my location, it will.be suicidal to tell random people how much you are worth. I still see young people show off cars, houses, and even money on social media for public validation. I wonder how they can leave normal lives after all this exposure. Some of them become victims of criminals. I will always prefer to remain publicly unknown rather than to lose my freedom due to public show. I am happy when I am underestimated because it proves that I am playing the low-key game well.

Move in silence, I like it so no need to show off what we have and let them underestimate us. They don't know what we have so that will be our secret weapon to beat them and kick them out. If you stays under the radar, you will know the way and stay invisible for your safety. It works to Bitcoin so we hodl Bitcoin as our secret and no one knows if we have Bitcoin or not. Even with the fewer friends, you never can tell the Judas amongst them. This is where betrayal comes in. There will always be that loophole or a loudmouth somewhere who won't keep to themselves what they've been told.

Anyway, but why is it even a big deal for one to keep one's secret to oneself? Will the earth collapse? I don't know why that's a difficult thing for most people to do.

You write a business plan in  way that it is clear that only your team can make it a success.
You tell people a lot and don't hold back you loose it and most likely the people getting the idea cannot pull it off.

What makes you think that people can't pull it off? If your idea gets in someone else's hands, they will make sure to find the people to join his team that can actually pull it off, because it's not easy to steal someone's idea and then waste it, so if the person who is about to steal your idea and make it his own is smart enough, he will make it work, and believe me, there are a lot of people around us who are smart enough to do things like us but we just don't think they can, and it's a very big mistake. We should never underestimate anyone's skills or smartness.

If you have a business idea or a plan, you don't really need to discuss it with literally anyone you meet, just keep it to yourself until it has been executed, or just tell those who you are going to involve in the process. You don't need to tell anyone, not even the ones who you believe are very close to you because they have nothing to do with it, if you have everything ready, you should just go for it, and once you have executed your plan successfully, everyone will see for themselves and then no one can do anything.
