People working in gambling aren't sick of gambling, surprisingly

I am totally not surprised that people who work in gambling industry are not into gambling. First of all they are gambling all they long, I think they have enough gambling at work to do it after work. Secondly, they see so many people that lose money and screw their lives, that they would try to avoid gambling at all cost. They have seen too much to try to gamble themselves.

The house always wins and we all believe that. And that's why we are under control if we keep our minds clear and as employees, we know what we have to do if we're within the premises of our jobs. You do work and then go home after so that you'll avoid anything that can push you to gamble. The full time gamblers know how to control themselves and they're making money out of it. But if someone gets inspired by them, it should stay there because not all the good results they have will happen to those who think they can copy them.

I believe that people who work in the gambling industry end up having a more realistic perception of gambling than do tired ones. They learn about the ways casinos operate and how players act. Which gives them an understanding that the casino edge is always present. And that most gamblers will not win in the long term. This learning can assist them to remain disciplined and prevent chasing losses. Some workers may continue to gamble for recreation, but a lot of them are cautious as they have experienced the ups and downs of the gambling industry. The victories of a select group of professional gamblers do not necessarily indicate that all gamblers can win.

Yeah, they know the reality why the casino business is very much profitable and why they shouldn't fall for that. They witness victories and disappointments in their day to day operation and they won't side with the disappointed results. Because they know how tough it is to move on when you've been believing in yourself but that won't be always the result you're expecting it to be. So they rather simply go to work and do their tasks and go home with the salary that they can enjoy with other things than to gamble.

People working for the gambling companies should not surprise you if they turn and look away from gambling. Reason being that they see the reality, they are always there to see how a lot of people lose money because the casinos are designed to always favour the house. It’s only the outsider that think it’s always easy to win from gambling because when you look at the probabilities of winning very slim, it’s away in the favour of the bookies. So they don’t need anybody to advise them as they know what most gambler dont  know. With just little things i have said I guess you shouldn’t be surprised again.

Lets start from trying to figure out why should people who work in gambling also gamble? From entertainment point of view, they get entertained at work. Figuratively they are gambling at work and are always in center of company of friends that gamble. From earning point of view, they every day get proof that gambling is not the best activity for that. So what would they gamble, if they get positive side of it at work, and know negative side of it. But of course, people who work in gambling industry gamble occasionally. They simply do that much rarely that other people.

People who work in gambling see everything from the inside, they see how many players lose and how many manage to win. They might get tired, because any job can be tiring, but when you see it as a job where you work and earn money, you'll keep doing it as long as you have the energy. And when you work at such a job, it can lead to you not playing yourself, because you'll understand how much the casino makes and how much the players lose.

Your friend who works in a casino probably hasn't joined the job for a long time. The boredom and extremely sick thing hasn't really kicked in yet. I know a guy who works in a casino and he used to gamble but now he doesn't get the urge to gamble because he finds it boring.
Women are actually more conservative and therefore less likely to spend money on gambling. They probably don't need entertainment through gambling. Women are much less likely to gamble because they have more patience and can actually keep themselves free from gambling.

He can hope his friend hasn't work there anymore so his friend will not feels sick with the situation so that means his friend can't work on the job and need to get out from there.

I don't know if women are much less to gamble but with the online gambling exist, that can makes them curious and want to try but women or men might get addicted to gambling because this depend on their control.

I believe that those who are in the gambling business can have very diverse experiences. Some may get bored of betting after they see it on the daily, and others may bet it occasionally as a part of entertainment. That's more about the person than the job! On women and gambling, I don't think that much of a gap remains as it did in the past. Online gambling has created it easy for all people, irrespective of gender. It's actually more about self-control, discipline, and personal habits between the two concepts of addiction and responsible gambling than it is about gender.

For most casino workers it is impossible for them to stay away from gambling because they are in that environment where people gamble constantly. It takes a lot of self control to work in such places everyday and not be a gambler especially when you are seeing people getting lucky and making profit from it.

I read a comment somewhere before, I think the person is a casino worker like a dealer and they see a lot of gamblers lost every single day on their workplace. They can only felt sorry for them deep inside but they can not confront them directly. It is either against the law of their job or it can affect them once these people obey their tip and won't come back on the casino again. But I think there is one that is brave enough to tell the winner quietly to quit now or else the winnings will only get returned in the machine. There are still people that makes profit but their numbers are so low and then they are not usually the same people who win last time.

If we think our working environment affects us negatively, then it is better to just resign on it but some are only worried that what if they can not get hired immediately on the other company? So they just take the courage to continue. Some can also stay because they genuinely like it i.e. they are into gambling and then they can also get tip from the winners.
