I don't know how things are in other countries, but here in my country I've seen many people involved with gambling, and the number of people addicted to gambling is very small, which led me to believe that cases of gambling addiction are relatively few. If the number were very high, then governments would have already blocked and banned all casinos in the world. That way we wouldn't see gambling anymore. So if we don't see that, it's because governments know that the number of people addicted to gambling is low.

Now with licensed online casinos popping up and offering easy access to games that are very addicting such as slots the epidemic of gambling addiction is growing and on fact becomes worse by the day. It doesn't seem to be slowing down..casinos are allowed to advertise everywhere and also without restrictions about where they place ads. So more and more people are attracted to these schemes.

In the end it becomes obvious governments are not interested to limit addiction so long as it remains profitable. Sadly it's an epidemic that isn't well studied although very widespread. Any country that has legalized gambling faces it to some extent or the other.

Government do not care about anyone addicted to gambling, it is just very simple as you will be the one that will have to gamble responsibly or not gamble at all. The government do not care in other areas also, not only in gambling addiction. All what the government know how to do is collecting taxes. If you win in trading or gambling, they will collect their tax form you, but if you are losing, they have nothing to pay you. That is what the government want, and also collecting the taxes from the gambling sites and their workers.

I’ll never advise anyone who has interest in gambling to go work in a casino because the temptation would be much. That's not even my concern right now, it's obvious that when you stay around that much gambling you will be influenced to gamble yourself and if you think it's odd then you've probably never been in casinos much and that's good on you although there are restrictions with some casino on workers playing since their actions can be compromising to the casino but expecting them to be bored of gambling because they see it everyday is definitely nothing close to the actual reality.

Even women isn't excluded from this because I have seen female that works in a gambling casino that form the habit of gambling as a result of them working in a casino. So it is something that is common to both genders. It will be a great idea if casino place restrictions on there staffs to avoid unnecessary issues such as using up casinos funds to gamble.

There are casinos that make that restriction and if you look at it well enough you will see that it's actually the smart business thing to do, they should be there solely for work and not to gamble themselves, if they want to gamble then maybe they can do it outside of their own casino, it just doesn't paint a good image for someone working there to also be gambling as well but it is what's happening, and the whole stat about female not doing it is just wrong.

I have some friends that stay and work in a physical casino, they make money from gambling and the same time they make money from gamblers that comes to bet aside the monthly pay check they get for working in the casino. What they do normally is when people bet and they make win, when they want to cash out, they get tips, it's the culture of gambling here and sometimes replicate games another gambler has bet to win as well, this is how they make money.

Good thing I like about them is that when they gamble, they don't use money from their pocket, the money is from the gambling environment, they can come to shop today with nothing but will go out with money, that's how some of them make money from gambling. However, the time they spent in the physical casino is something I can't do. There are days casino can go over time and you don't have choice but to wait until the customers finish what they came.

I don't see any correlation between those who work and gamble in the same place, in the sense that it's a problem if it becomes dangerous "economically" but that it becomes boring I think is impossible, because if you win the adrenaline in your body and the desire to win even more money will push the person to play and therefore not get bored.

I have a close relative who used to work for one of the gambling agent shops as a cashier; he's mostly in charge of those who are placing bets on virtual sports games. At first, he started placing his own personal bet with all the little tips and bonuses he made from the extra money that they don't pay to winners. Down to when he started using his salary to gamble, it got to a stage where at the end of the month he usually does an account with the boss to see who will balance each other out. In my local community, there is a saying, "evil communication corrupts good manners". While it might be true that those working in a casino might see all sorts of idiotic behavior being displayed by gamblers, they also are exposed to the celebrations of gamblers who come into the establishment with just a few bucks and then leave with a significant larger amount of money, so it won't be surprising if those workers starts to develop a habit for gambling after seeing all of those.

If you're working in a gambling related space, it's even advisable you don't gamble at all because of you get addicted, yours will be really bad. It's just like someone that's selling alcohol that's also a serious alcoholic. If he gets addicted, it's going to be to his own ruin. Yes i know about it what u are explaining in a post in psychological terms we call it environmental exposure. When peoples spend a lot of time daily in any activity even with dangerous ones the brain act it like its a normal activity. If i look at your friend he spend hours daily watching peoples gambling seeing wins also watching jackpots of peoples noticing any other gambling activities so by watching all those activities daily gambling can start to feel more normal and less risky than it really is. Also at the same time casino employees usually see thousands of small losses daily but occasionally witness big wins. Those memorable wins can have a stronger psychological impact on the brain than the losses which may encourage some workers to gamble themselves. Overall not every casino employee faces a gambling problem. Many work in the industry for years without gambling much at all. Individual personality self control and financial habits even workplace culture all play a role in the employees decision who wants to start gambling.

That you are working for a gambling organization does not mean you should be a gambler or be frequently involved in gambling, though it is a choice and we have to know what we want and also ensure that it's not affecting us by any way, gambling operators can also decide to gamble at their own description and you can be surprised to see that some of them now are not even gambling that extent,  so it is a choice that we make for ourselves on what to do and not to do and this is what also talks about discipline and decision making when it comes to what we do and not.
