People working in gambling aren't sick of gambling, surprisingly

So I just learned from a friend who works in a casino, that most of his colleagues are big time into gambling themselves.

He tells me that prior to taking the job, they weren't so much into gambling, maybe they'd do it once or twice a month with a few bucks. But after taking such job, they're triggered to do it more often and are actually out of money most of the time because of this. It's a combination of gambling jobs paying well as well as seeing triggers all the time.

There have been many researches on this. All the researches that I have known about this and I think all the researches about it are concluding that those working at a gambling platforms are significantly having higher risks of gambling addiction. This is very true, but I do not know about women, I am speaking of both men and women.

However, there are still people who work in a casino who do not gamble. If I were a physical casino owner, trust me, these are the kind of people I would love to hire because their discipline towards rendering service without thinking of cheating is top-notch.

In my local community, there is a saying, "evil communication corrupts good manners". While it might be true that those working in a casino might see all sorts of idiotic behavior being displayed by gamblers, they also are exposed to the celebrations of gamblers who come into the establishment with just a few bucks and then leave with a significant larger amount of money, so it won't be surprising if those workers starts to develop a habit for gambling after seeing all of those.

Not to mention, people working in gambling casinos are even have higher risk to gambling disorder compared to the rest of their gambling clients. That's because of their long exposure to gambling and seeing lucky gamblers winning decent amount every now and then, and because they know already the game well, so they think they have bigger advantage than those who are actually not gambling gurus.

Also, the stress they get from their night shift leads them more to gamble and enjoy it while taking some time to relax after a tiring work. And before they knew it, just like their customers in their workplace, they are already stuck and heavily attached to gambling that eventually leads to gambling addiction.

Well, studies have shown that even when a woman gambles, she's is more wise and careful than the men, women are not so much risk takers because their risk appetite level is naturally low, being because they were engineered to majorly give birth and take care of her own children while doing house chores.
But the man who is naturally engineered to go out and hustle, struggle, bustle to make bring money is made to have a higher risk appetite because this is what will drive their zeal, and this is one of the reason why when men gamble, most of them become reckless, taking uncalculated risks and  losing money meant for other things and so on.

And speaking of those working in a gambling casino and how they they themselves even become addicted to gambling, I am honestly not surprised because this is exactly what should be happening, gambling is not any other stuff where you easily will get tired due to continues presence around that thing, in gambling, there is a zeal driving gamblers and that zeal is to make life changing amount of money, who ever that zeal enters will hardly give up gambling no matter what, doesn't matter if the person is working in the casino or not.

When someone works in a casino then that person automatically starts loving the casino games because we humans get excited when we see good things, the things that could create happiness by releasing some hormones like Dopamine. The ones who work at casinos often see others enjoying the games and that's the reason why they start loving the games themselves as well.

Well, to be honest, women aren't 99% prone to gambling addiction because now a days women are also getting addicted to gambling and to drugs. I know the ratio of women in such areas is low as compared to men because very few women love gambling but if any of them starts gambling then she will also have high chance to get addicted just like men.

Where I am from the users who work in the casino cannot gamble at the casino they work for. They can go to other establishments to gamble, but not allowed to gamble at their place of employment.

Honestly, it's boring watching all the action and not be a real big part of it. Guy sits there and loses $20000 and you get your $20 an hour + tips bored outta your mind, whereas if you are gambling and getting all that dopamine rushing to the brain as you are winning(or losing) and you feel all the excitement. 2 very different feelings.

This is what I am also thinking, that they are seeing few people that are winning money which make them also try their luck but it is later turning to problem gambling for them. What I can not agree with is that they think they know about gambling more. I do not agree because they should be the one that should know that gambling is very risky because out of 10 people, only less than 1 is winning. That should let them know that gambling is not something that easy win can be achieved easily.

Well, personally that is how I feel about gambling right now. I don't feel the same excitement about it compared to when I started for the first time. And I see people placing bets in dumb ways, because they aren't going to turn this activity into their source of extra income. At same time, I get even more annoyed by those social influencers treating the audience as if they were retarded.

I have a close relative who used to work for one of the gambling agent shops as a cashier; he's mostly in charge of those who are placing bets on virtual sports games. At first, he started placing his own personal bet with all the little tips and bonuses he made from the extra money that they don't pay to winners. Down to when he started using his salary to gamble, it got to a stage where at the end of the month he usually does an account with the boss to see who will balance each other out. Sometimes it turns out that he owes the company, and he will either have to pay from his pocket or it will be deducted from his next salary, and that continues until he decides to change his job.

Previously I thought the same thing, those who worked in casinos I thought were bored with gambling and reluctant to do gambling because they already knew that it was already arranged by the bookie behind the game so they knew it would be difficult to win, but if the reality is the opposite where there are also workers who are addicted then that is a natural thing too because they work in that field, it's just that I think and I'm afraid that the salary they get from working in the casino is used up to gamble again, it sounds ridiculous. If they work in casinos, they should know that it's hard to win and not get addicted.

Casinos jobs are not the same as other jobs which could easily make their workers to get fed up with their products.
I have talked to people who work in burger restaurants, who are completely tired of burgers. But casinos are different, they directly target the dopamine receptors of our brains and make us to always come for more and more.

Honestly, If I worked for a casino or bookie I would personally take the resolution to not partake in gambling myself, as if I needed such job it would be because I need to money to comply with me financial duties and feed myself, I would have no spare money to gamble in the same casino I work at.

Well they are in the casino so for sure they are going to be influence by it. And they might have seen a lot of gambles winning big and they might have been dreaming that they could have been that guy so that their lives are going to make a U-turn.

I also watched a some Youtube wherein the casino was robbed. And some of them are insider job, those people who are into the casino themselves all of their lives that they have known how to exploit the system and then just disappear after they steal from the very same company that feeds them.

This is scary, I also have some relatives who work in the gambling industry, since they are always experiencing it every day, I sometimes saw them betting also their hard-earned money in it, like hoping to win, because I believe for sure they always see some people winning and the winning amount money is huge for them, but I saw before one of them struggeled financially and I assume it's because of their environment, like even how you will avoid gambling, it's difficult or near to impossible to avoid it if you deal with it everyday.
