It is sad if we lost our bet but we don't have to end our life. That is not worth to do, we still have more chances to win and we can do many things besides just gambling so losing money because our team fail is normal but we must go on and no need to do bad things. That case should our lesson not to follow he does. We have to forget our lost as we can bet on the next match.

Depression is a silent killer probably he have it while he is using the sports as way to deal with it through entertainment it can give when his favorite team won.

He has too emotional attachment on the team that probably lead to suicide. There’s a lot of different of psychological nowadays with current generation which sometimes very hard to understand by people from old generation.

There’s probably an angle that gambling was involved but I’m leaning towards depression.

Yes, this guy certainly looks like he's suffering from a deep and severe depression. Perhaps his favorite team's loss only pushed him to such a terrible act. He should have sought professional help in this area early on, so they could provide the appropriate treatment and help him overcome this illness. I know some people who have benefited from this type of rehabilitation. They've become normal people again and are now enjoying life.

This is the problem of people with depression. They usually don’t seek help because they are relying to something that gives them temporary entertainment that can help them forget their psychological problem.

There’s a lot of case like this that a person was from a rich family yet he decided to do suicide because his family doesn’t communicate to him regarding what he is dealing with.

Some country has their own dedicated hotline to seek help for depression. I hope there’s an easy online access that works the same way.

It was so disappointing that an Arsenal fan had to commit suicide just because they lost to PSG, who knows how much he might have staked on the game, allowing emotions to overshadow your senses of reasoning because of a football match is actually disappointing, we should understand that two teams can't win at a time , one team must go home with the trophy and PSG won on penalties which is a 50/50 chances for any of the teams to win. Most of times, the issue here isn't because they lost, but usually how much they lost. Anyone can take a gambling loss, but not when the loss involves money that one didn't initially plan to lose, especially when the money wasn't yours and when it was meant for a totally different purpose. There are many factors that can prompt someone to go so extreme with their actions, there are chances he gambled on Arsenal to win and  suffered a terrible financial or property loss due to Arsenal loosing out to PSG. We can only imagine how far people go to betting on these events they barely have any control over, I've seen people go on side bet with their various properties like their phones and even cars on match outcomes. Crazy as it sounds, it happens. Maybe the person in your story couldn't bear his loss and had to end it all, it's a decision of a coward actually.

I have seen something similar to what this guy and he was actually  student. I don't know what compelled him to use the money givien to him from his parent to bet but the purpose of the money is to pay school fees and also pay for accommodation and some other fees in school. He used the money to bet and he lossed all the money to bet and instead of informing his parents or consult his parents, this guy hang himself and died and the body was found at home the third day.

The world can laugh me but I don't care what people are going to say about me if I lose huge amount of money to betting. At this stage it's not even about the money used to bet that I'm concerned but the life. There is plenty of opportunities when life fuck you up but there is no another one if you take your life. You will die in pain and you will also leave the people that care about you in pain. Don't gamble if you don't have the mind to bear the loss.

The story or incident didn't occur after the results of the PSG game. This news of this player taking his life has been trending long before the Gunners even lifted the EPL trophy. Its unfortunate that the guy had to let emotions take over him and decided that his life wasn't worth living for just because a game went bad. Who knows what he may have staked and it didn't pan out well? Still I get your point, it's not worth the price of your life since when there's life there's hope.

It shows a level of immaturity, that is why gambling is made for the strong minded people, if as a gambler you cannot control your emotions to the extent of commiting suicide there is no point gambling, it is better you avoid it.

Sometimes when watching a game, especially the team you are attached to emotionally, you might do the unthinkable if you don't checkmate yourself emotionally, but killing yourself because your favourite team lost a final is the height of it, because what would you tell your maker that you took your own life when you can't give it out yourself.
This is why being an extremist towards football or any other things in life is bad, because you will stop thinking as a normal human should do, instead you start or contemplate doing unimaginable things you shouldn't be doing.

When things like this happens a lot of people make excuses like, the person was under the influence of alcohol or drugs but that's a lie because no matter how intoxicated a person gets it is impossible to get pushed to suicide, this only happens when a person decides to end their life. At the end of the day we all know it's no worth it.

I came across the video OP is talking about  that has been circulating round the Internet for days, it is really sad this person went this far for that loss, I want to assume he has been a fan for sometimes now and Arsenal has not won a title for a long time, he did not take his own life, now that they are now winners of the premier league, he could have found solace in that not go this far because they lost the champions league.  It was never  a compulsory line of action that they were going to win both, this is even one of Arsenal successful season after a very long while and so this action of his was very wrong and unnecessary.  Other fans should learn from this and not go the same route.
