This is crazy, in fact, suicide after losing at gambling is really the work of mentally ill people. Gambling is one of the riskiest ways to make money. Here people lose more than they win in betting. So money should not be used here that creates an incentive to commit suicide if they lose money. Money should be used in gambling that comes from discretionary income. People will have no regrets if they lose this money. And people always say that having a supporter of taking risks in gambling makes a gambler confident.

I also feel the same way for people who commit suicide after losing money through gambling may be struggling with serious mental health issues. If they were not, they might not make such a decision.People are generally aware that gambling involves both winning and losing, and that there is no guarantee of success. So, I often wonder why someone would choose to gamble more than they can afford to lose in the first place.

I have heard of several cases where people committed suicide after losing money through gambling, but it is always difficult for me to understand. It sounds unbelievable to me. I often think, how can someone take their own life just because they lost money in gambling?In my opinion, nothing is worth taking one's life over. Money can be lost and earned again, but life cannot be replaced. That is why I find it hard to comprehend why some people make such a tragic decision after suffering gambling losses.

This is the high point so far. I don't know how easy it is for people to throw away the opportunity of giving themselves the chance to try again but just decide to end itt because of the outcome of the choice they made at such time and moment does not favour them. It is really alarming the rate of death that comes from losing bets. People should learn how to gamble, that you can't gamble with what you can't afford to lose. For Arsenal fans, yes they saw the winning of the champions League but they couldn't seal it up and that should not warrant a fan to take their life.

Who knows if he borrowed huge amount of money and use the money to bet on the match. I wish this not to be true also, but there have been similar occurrences in the past. People should be wise and gamble responsibly.

You are right because sometimes people go to the extent of believing so much on what they have predicted or the believe that luck will shine on them to cash out on what seem as an opportunity. Gambling result is never guarantee and those gambling too much that they can bear should learn from this kind of story. Even in trading, people take their life when they lose heavily.

For example, I also know of a huge gambler who became indebted because he was borrowing to gamble. He was lucky to win big last December and cleared those debts he owed but now he is being indebted again because he has been on consistent losing streak. And that's gambling for you.

Yes, Football matches will always exist, but Arsenal fans might realize that seeing their favorite team in the UCL final may not happen again next year, so they think the players will be very motivated to win the tournament trophy.

I came across the video OP is talking about  that has been circulating round the Internet for days, it is really sad this person went this far for that loss, I want to assume he has been a fan for sometimes now and Arsenal has not won a title for a long time, he did not take his own life, now that they are now winners of the premier league, he could have found solace in that not go this far because they lost the champions league.  It was never  a compulsory line of action that they were going to win both, this is even one of Arsenal successful season after a very long while and so this action of his was very wrong and unnecessary.  Other fans should learn from this and not go the same route.

If this is autually true then he most be a very stupid person. To be honest no matter the  amount of disappointment or whatsoever can't make me to be this foolish in life. It's very saddening to hear such a pathetic story, it goes to show childish some people can be even in this 21st century, committing suicide because of a football match is very disgusting and also condemnable because there is nothing inspiring about such a story that an adult could take his own life because his team lost a match, maybe they should also introduce the parent guide or adult supervision in football just as they do in the movies.

Good advice from the OP. You should never wager more than you can comfortably lose. Risking your quality of life on a bet seems like a recipe for a difficult time in life. Honestly I don't know how stupid some people could be while supporting a club because when they lose their life the club can't recognize him or even assist to lay him to rest but, he did that ignoring the consequences involved for taken ones life.

I do not know the reason why people should be gambling with their life over merely betting or over an argument.

This is what many gamblers and football fans have refused to understand. The funny thing about the concluded Champions League is that the Arsenal players who failed to win the game will still be paid for it, and the next plan is how to get the Champions League trophy.

 It is possible for them to achieve this a good number of times in the years to come, and all these memories of not winning the league will fade away. The same Arsenal the very next day after they lost to PSG in the  UEFA champions league went on a trophy parade, videos I watched showed the entire Arsenal team and management going round the street parading their just won premier league trophy, meanwhile some fans are on the other side dying, killing themselves over this same team.

I am a die hard fan of Arsenal but I am using my sense, at this point, I have to say that some people are actually mentally unstable even though they they appear to be perfectly ok when they appear in public, because it is absolutely foolish for anyone to kill him or herself over the loss of a team that doesn't even know you exist, and someone might want to say he didn't kill himself because of arsenal in particular, but because of the money lost in betting on Arsenal to win, and my question will be, why betting what you can't afford to lose?

Going forward until you die makes no sense, for whatever game it is, for whatever sum it is.
If the alternative to a win, or money, or whatever you want is death if you lose, is it worth it?

Not that wouldn't be happening (people killing themselves over money trouble), but that specific one has all the marks of a made up story. Without the made up story that clip wouldn't be drawing that much views.
And the fact that people just eat stories like that up, just because they are plausible is a major problem with social media. People see it as news and don't really care if it's real or not.

When it comes to the issue where people take their own lives, they do it for other things as well, when they think all the hope is gone and they can't emotionally deal with the aftermath. Either they don't have tools to do it, or help to deal with it.

When you lose all of your money, because you are betting on something, it's often not only your bankroll it's affecting to. It's affecting people around you as well. But people don't kill themselves because they hurt others with gambling, they kill themselves because they are ashamed of themselves. Suicide affects people around way more then losing your own or their money.

In short, always talk with someone and don't try to deal with devastating a loss on yourself.
