I came across that video too but I think it's an old video because I saw same video last year too when Arsenal lost the league to Man City. Maybe I could be wrong with the little details but it's just an instinctive feeling that could be debatable.

Now back to the post in question, it is quite unreasonable and insensible for someone (an adult) to kill himself over football crisis. No matter how much love you have for the club, it is not worth it because the same players you're killing yourself over would be partying the next day after a successful season. It is a huge loss fot the team but they would definitely move on from that, but can you move on from death?

The same Arsenal the very next day after they lost to PSG in the  UEFA champions league went on a trophy parade, videos I watched showed the entire Arsenal team and management going round the street parading their just won premier league trophy, meanwhile some fans are on the other side dying, killing themselves over this same team.

I am a die hard fan of Arsenal but I am using my sense, at this point, I have to say that some people are actually mentally unstable even though they they appear to be perfectly ok when they appear in public, because it is absolutely foolish for anyone to kill him or herself over the loss of a team that doesn't even know you exist, and someone might want to say he didn't kill himself because of arsenal in particular, but because of the money lost in betting on Arsenal to win, and my question will be, why betting what you can't afford to lose?

There are certain bets I cannot join them to take, anything that has to hurt an emotion, loss of life is not acceptable to me, this is far beyond entertainment, when our emotions or life is at risk all because of gambling. We have to check into the situation and know what is going on before we let our greediness dig the grave.

Assume some gamblers that is risking their life for betting will have this advice, they will understand gambling very well and not to risk their life when betting or gambling to achieve good results, a lot of gamblers has lost their properties and their life just because they want to make millions and billions from gambling and betting to prove to people that they have arrived,  I think people who don't have the knowledge of gambling or betting are the ones taking such risk because if you understand gambling or betting very well you will not be using huge amount of funds to gamble or betting.

I don't really understand how deep some fans become to the extent that they support their team based on emotions. Football is just like gambling, as we always talk about gambling for fun, same applies for football and other sporting activity that we support. How can someone deny themselves peace of mind just because the team they support didn't win a match, some people deny themselves food and become aggressive to everyone around them just because the team they support lost a match. Fans doesn't get paid for being a fan, I don't know if there are clubs that pays their fans but if that happens then a fan can become extremely emotional since their source of income comes from the club but causing self harm to oneself while the players are the ones that are being paid is just the height of senselessness.

I think this also tells us how lightly we value our own lives . Life is something precious that we need to take care and value. In this whole world only a persons life is Irreplaceable. PSG & Arsenal both are good Club and why people are valuing the game over emotion idk. Although I don't watch these football matches most often but this reminded me previous Fifa world cup. Where a team like Argentina lost their match with Saudi Arabia , who didn't even qualified to play but they we're lucky enough to got a chance cause they were the host nation/country.

An attempt to take your own life after a lost bet is double losses because you lose your money, and probably your favorite team also lose the competition now taken your own life is even more worse than everything else because money can be recovered in the future, and the team might also try next season to win the UEFA Champions League too, and tragic thing there is that you won't be alive to witness the victory.
My own advise to all clubs supporters is that they shouldn't expect too much their favorite clubs because not every time things work as expected.

It is not right to have excessive confidence in gambling without knowing or understanding anything, just hoping to make quick money. As a result the gambler can lose all the valuable money in life by losing self-control, so it is better to gamble with the right knowledge and abandonment emotions. You can never be confirm about the outcome of the bet, no matter how much you research or use strategies if you are lucky you will make money. This is true about compulsive gamblers.  Even though they know they will lose eventually, they can't control themselves to stop their gambling engagement to the point of depositing more to recover their losses.  It is highly possible that these kind of gambler is on the verge of addiction if not fixed soon.

The problem is that people who are compulsive gambler can't quit even their tought is shouting that it will lead them to ruin.  Then after all their fortune losses, they will be full of regret to the point of thinking that their life is worthless that they have noting in hand anymore. And coupled with pressure from other people, they felt that they are pushed to the limit, that no one cares so they think of the worst thing to do with themselves.  Just like the thing on what @OP share.

Yes, we can never blame any team for this incident. The death of a gambler can never be the cause of Arsenal. Arsenal never forced gamblers to bet. It is actually very sad for whoever  attempt murder or even killed themselves because if the disappointment of the game because as they are no more now, football will continue and these teams will have another related opportunity again and might make it next time when they have the opportunity.

I understand that it is emotion that lead to such act, but it is not right to take your life or risk your life because of football match that you know that it is a game that one has to lose and the other has to win.  It is better to bet with some money than with your life, it is risky so use what you can afford to lose.

It is sad if we lost our bet but we don't have to end our life. That is not worth to do, we still have more chances to win and we can do many things besides just gambling so losing money because our team fail is normal but we must go on and no need to do bad things. That's the thing, if there is a bet where if you lose, you think about ending your life, then you should not be making that bet to begin with. To hell with him as no fucking how his damn soul gonna rest in peace for having to take his own life due to a bet lost or club disappointment of not winning a trophy that can be won in another season.
If you know you're too deeply emotional about every little thing that tends to be disappointing then it's of no use creating interest in being a club fan, and if you must be, as part of not looking isolated then you must regulate your expectations on them, you can't be too sure of them not disappointing you at any point.

What annoys me the most in this kind of setting is that the person who kills himself have ended up punishing those that he left behind, including his family, friends and loved ones. Suicide remains an act of stupidity and selfishness because take it or leave it, you don't own your life alone, your family, your friends and those who love you have a share in your life and if you take it, you put them in pains and in some traditions it is a taboo to die by hanging and you would put the family through the emotional and physical stress of arranging for spiritual cleansing.

Arsenal lost the Champions league this year, there is always other years to try again, but this dude that just killed himself has brought an end to his own story. No matter what he lost, it is sheer stupidity and lack of emotional maturity to end his life as a result of it.

There are many people leaving with health conditions that they are unaware of, regular health checks is limited and ignored because of poor economic status. It is sad that the one thing that they turn to for solace, for enjoyment and relaxation ends up killing them.
It raises some importance on health and why being conscious of it helps.

if you are too passionate about a sport that it endangers your health, you should be careful of it so you don't die.

People should always go for medical checks, there might be some cheaper clinics that one can provide for them to get what they want. But, there are some people that are ignorant of such thing, they don't care to get basic checks, as all they will be thinking its just money and people who are very addicted to the game, prefer to make money and spend it back to gambling, without even thinking about their health and this ignorance are what actually cause them pains or death.

And that's because many of their supporters are literally expecting a lot from the team, meanwhile the team can only do their best and their best is not taking their own lives. The truth is that no one who takes his or her own life that's going to rest in peace. I don't really know but I don't think a club star will take his own life after a lost game, but these days I see so many supporters that's take their own live over a lost game.
