So yesterday was the champions league final and it was really a tough one with PSG taking the win. I got to realized that a lot of people really don't like Arsenal as there were so many people waiting for them to lose. But the main reason I'm making this thread is the fact that I saw a video that showed a supposed Nigerians who is an Arsenal fan who hanged himself because his club lost. I really do not know the reason for his actions.. he may have made a huge bet or he may have been going through some life challenges and the loss just made him up, or maybe the banter he was receiving or was going to receive was too much. Now regardless of the reason, I still don't think it's enough for one to take his life. Football as a sport is for our entertainment and enjoyment. I do understand that there are due hard fana whi can go all out to support their clubs but to take one's life is highly extreme. The people who played the match are well and alive.. infact they will still get paid their salaries and endorsement deals without winning the cup. I think that sometimes people take this football things to far and serious. This isn't the first time a life has been lost because of this and it may not be the only one that happened yesterday and this is just Nigeria.
I just want everyone of us to know when to draw the line especially in gambling. We shouldn't gamble withoney for business, school fees, rent or even borrowed money to avoid heart break. I hope other people learn from this. Stay safe y'all.
