6bit is a Bitcoin Core–based digital currency project created to preserve and extend the spirit of Satoshi’s original peer-to-peer electronic cash vision.
Purpose
6bit is not designed to replace Bitcoin. It is intended as another opportunity for people who believe in decentralization, open participation, transparent monetary rules, and community-run infrastructure.
Principles
Open access: anyone should be able to run a node, verify the chain, and participate.
Self-custody: users should control their own keys and funds.
Transparent rules: monetary and consensus rules should be visible, auditable, and predictable.
Community-first growth: the network should grow through education, distribution, and practical use.
Technology
6bit Core is built from the Bitcoin Core codebase, including full-node validation, wallet functionality, peer-to-peer networking, RPC support, and optional graphical user interface components.
Vision
6bit aims to create a simple, fair, and accessible digital currency ecosystem for people who value the original ideals of decentralized money.
