Blockstream wallet coin control

I have installed Blockstream wallet on my mobile phone and there I have two receiving addresses. The thing is that I would like to perserve coins from one address and spend coins from second address.

I know that some mobile wallets support "coin control" feature, but I couldn't find that feature in Blockstream app. Maybe I missed something and there is that option hidden somewhere?

From my understanding of the staff member's response, this is only available for desktop app users. The post is 4 months old but if you cannot find it, it's probably still not available.

The mobile version doesn't support coin control.

But why did you decide to used blockstream wallet out of many open source non custodial wallets? I'm curious how you see this and still like it.


 
They collect your data for wallet improvement but even with "don't collect data", I won't trust such wallet that need users data for wallet improvement.

There are many alternatives to this Blockstream such as Bluewallet, and Electrum for android device, these are available on mobile and support what you want.

I was participating in some test purchases where organiser recommended the applicants to use this software. So I was using it since due to ease of use and I am kind of inert to try new software.

Didn’t know about collecting data, missed that somehow in the process of installing the app.

It's a non-custodial wallet and not custodial for correction only.

Usually those data are typically referring to anonymous, aggregated usage metrics rather than sensitive, tracking which buttons, screens, or any features users interact with the most, helping them prioritize future updates. As well as the platform if ios or android for statistics reason. Anyway, it's open source, if im not mistaken.

It's a non-custodial wallet and not custodial for correction only.

Blockstream Green is also an open source wallet. The wallet is not really talked about on this forum, but it is a reputed wallet to some extent.

You can import the seed phrase on a wallet that will let you be able to use coin control like Bluewallet. It is the only mobile wallet that I know that is having coin control.

But you can also make use of mobile Electrum which support address and coin freeze. After you import the seed phrase on Electrum, click on your wallet name at the upper left corner -> click on addresses/coins -> click on show addresses and select coins -> long press on the UTXO that you want to freeze -> click on freeze. After that, you can spend the remaining or part of the remaining second UTXO.

They said it'll be implemented soon with no ETA.
Since there's no ETA, no one knows how long that "soon" will take.

For now (if you do not want to use another wallet),
Try to keep the to-be-sent amount and fee about the same as your target UTXO so Blockstream wallet's automatic coin-chooser would pick that.
Problem is, you wont be able to review the transaction's input before (sliding) sending it.
The only clue available is the absolute fee which can roughly tell how many inputs are used in that transaction. (if you know how vBytes work)

Thank you for the answer, that is very useful information. To be honest I didn’t know that Electrum has mobile app. This will definitely be my first choice for BTC wallet in the future.

I'm ready to use different wallet, it isn’t issue for me. I'll definitely try mobile Electrum. The reason why I asked for coun control in first place is that I didn’t want to smother my phone with too much apps but for now Blockstream will be uninstalled as they dont have this function.
