I understand why Trabzonspor fans are happy and excited about Salah, but if someone who costs so much doesn’t make a significant contribution, it could be a huge disappointment. With that much money, they could have built a much better team and even been successful in Europe. I think this will end badly. They’ll try and push to sell Salah to Saudi Arabia. But if he can make as much of a contribution as, say, Roberto Carlos or Guti, it would be brilliant for Trabzon and the league. Of course, someone who’s come in for that much money really ought to contribute far more, but I’m not holding my breath.

i have never seen any footballer who was brought to Turkish teams with such grandeur actually perform well. people say more tourists are going to come to Trabzon from Gulf countries just to watch Salah. imo that's completely made up. if Gulf countries or Saudi Arabia wanted to transfer Salah, they would have done it already nobody made a decent offer. Trabzon gave the best offer, so he had no choice but to come to Trabzon...

I just don't understand why we are about to sign Lukaku currently. I haven't seen a more injury prone player than him recently. He was injured like the whole season last year. Lukaku is cheaper compared to other targets, but his age and injury crisis will always be a major concern. I guess the reason Fenerbahçe is considering signing him is because he showed a bit of resurgence in the World Cup. He scored 3 goals in 6 matches compared to the 1 goal in 7 matches he scored in the whole of last season when he returned from injury. We will pay him probably around €10m per year. This is like the worst kind of a deal we could have made with Napoli. I don't expect him to be healthy for a significant part of this season either. As a Fenerbahçe fan I'm totally against this transfer.
€10M per annum is approximately 193k per week and that's quite high based on the fact Fernabache wants to take a gamble on him. Also, to be on the safe side, Fernabache can offer him a year contract with another year's extension. That way, if things do not go as planned, they can easily cut him loose.

dropping 10–15M on a 32 year old Muriqi was crazy and paying a fee for Lukaku at 33 is just insane. having your two strikers' combined age top 60–65 is total madness...
Aziz Yıldırım actually said that they weren't going to sign old forwards as far as I remember. This is how they aren't signing such players? I even don't think we need another striker right now but the board insists on splurging on Lukaku so that he comes to the Turkish league and gets injured here too. We could have spent that money more efficiently for a needed kind of a player instead.

He’ll have an easier time in Turkey than he did in the Premier League, so he’ll definitely score more goals and record more assists than he did last season but one thing has to be said: Salah managed just 7 goals and 7 assists last season. That was his worst season since he became a star. In comparison, he scored 29 goals and recorded 18 assists in the 24/25 season. So it’s clear that his performance has dropped significantly, and that’s why noboy shouldn’t have overly high expectations of him. He’ll likely end up being a disappointment for everyone, even if he manages to perform better than he did last season.

Fans never dwell on the negatives; even if the team is sinking, they still clamor for new signings. Barring injuries or the like, Salah will do well at Trabzon. The match schedule isn't as grueling as it is in the Premier League. The biggest issue is that our league is a bit rougher than the Premier League; rough tackles could potentially injure him, given that he’s a player who likes to hold onto the ball. Fatih Tekke needs to clearly explain the nature of our league to him. I agree that it’s a very expensive transfer, but Trabzonspor recently sold Oulai to Fiorentina for a very good fee.

Sometimes, it marvels me when a team that is contending the ligue title fails to sign players who have energy to endure their strength for a long time and go for old players with their old experience, the worst of it being a player who consistently bow to injury. Just because Romelu Lukaku made some impressive performance in the world cup is not solid reason why they should sign him and agree to pay him a huge salary. Any player that wants a high pay should go to the Saudi league instead of putting teams that are trying to win the league title into financial strain. Fenerbahçe should just recheck their decision to sign Lukaku because they are about to make a financial mistake.

Galatasaray are still trying to finish the Leao transfer. And I came across some fresh news today.
We've already reached an agreement with Leao himself but we still haven't been able to agree on the fee with his team. Milan looks insistent on €50m level right now. Our last offer was €35m which isn't even close to that level. But maybe there'd be a deal around a level just above €40m...
We still haven't made a proper transfer for a long time. The new season is starting soon. We should finish our necessary transfers before the end of August. We needed to sign a number 10 as well and I guess Aleksey Batrakov is about to be signed for that.
The Turkish champions are trying hard to sign the AC Milan player but we can see that the Italian club has increased the offer to 50 million euros. To be honest the Portuguese player is still not willing to move, so it seems that the Turkish club will have to convince the player and according to my information, the club is ready to pay Rafael Leao a salary of nine million euros per year and a bonus of three million euros. If they can't get the Italian league player to join their team, my opinion they might try to sign Arsenal's Martinelli as an alternative to the Portuguese player. The Brazilian has experience and is capable of great performances. By the way it can be assumed that the Galatasaray team should be stronger because the legendary Liverpool player has already joined Trabzonspor.

In terms of his physical attributes, he’s a striker who seems perfectly suited for the Turkish league, but what you said about his injury risk and salary is absolutely correct. In the Turkish league, target forwards like Dzeko, Gomez, Icardi have been successful in past years. In my opinion, Lukaku belongs in the same category as these players... Actually, when it comes to players who can make this kind of contribution, I don’t think it’s right to focus on money. Because they earn their pay through their performance. But Lukaku raises a lot of questions due to his injury history and is a huge risk...

Even Trabzonspor has started paying salaries above that level. Fenerbahçe certainly has the financial clout for this. They signed Muriqi, Sheriff is still on the team, along with Talisca, Greenwood, Musaba and Kerem. They're building an incredible attacking force and if they want Lukaku on top of that, let them sign him. How many more chances will we get to watch him play? Even as a fan of a rival team, I want to see Lukaku in this league.

Even as a fan of a rival team, I want to see Lukaku in this league. Fenerbahce has been so active in this transfer window and looks so ready to battle the league with galatasaray. They have really got a good attack and this interest in signing Lukaku is really going to be another breakthrough in the Turkish league this season. If he is added to the likes of Greenwood and Talisca, that would cause a big damage to any defence they meet. I like the move of fenerbahce this season, they have been actively involved and they don't also drag deals. They have already reached personal term with the forward with few more talks with Napoli. Price is almost getting concluded, but then the price for this move is actually small, just 10 to 12 million as set by Napoli. This move is likely a done deal. Fenerbahce is going to have a good attack and have already started adding to the defence with the arrival of Ake. The league will take a new shape and will be placed in good place too.

Trabzonspor has signed Darwin Nunez on loan, but there is no mandatory purchase option. An 8 million Euro loan fee will be paid to Al Hilal, though this will be settled in 10 installments. The two clubs have also agreed to split the player's high salary; Trabzonspor will pay 8 million Euros to the player. That strikes me as a huge amount of money for a loan signing. Nunez isn't a good striker. In my opinion, signing Nunez was a waste of effort when Trabzonspor already has a striker like Onuachu. He isn't a high-quality player, either.

word is that Salah specifically requested him and that he even played a role in the transfer. during their time together at Liverpool, he and Nunez built a solid chemistry on the pitch. if the rumor about Salah saying get him is true, it makes total sense from a football perspective. they already know each other's game, and Nunez's off the ball runs create the exact space Salah needs.

Trabzonspor have taken on a costly loan, i would say, of Darwin Nunez, maybe in this championship he will be able to have his say, who knows. He is a good player and Trabzonspor hopes a lot in him, we will see if they have done well or not. You already have an attractive person but maybe they don't trust Onuachu so much, they want to try other things.

I am very glad he signed with Trabzonspor. I was really worried our board might sign Nunez. 8 million euros is a lot of money—an excessive amount for this player. He didn't succeed at Liverpool. His CV lists Liverpool, sure, but it doesn't mention that he was let go because of poor performance. Spending such a huge sum on a player who failed even in the Saudi league—which is easier than ours—is, in my opinion, nothing short of madness. It’s a good thing he didn't come to Beşiktaş. Best of luck to Trabzonspor.

I remember the time when both of them played for Liverpool. He could contribute to Salah, but his finishing isn't great. I think this transfer will disrupt Trabzonspor's chemistry. What about Onuachu? He is a better player and more beneficial to Trabzonspor. The question now is how the choice between Nunez and Onuachu will be made. It seems like Fatih Tekke has a tough task ahead of him. He needs to strike the right balance.

I genuinely think that Nunez wouldn't be as good use as Vlahovic. So I also think Beşiktaş did the best by not targeting him mainly. I really didn't like Nunez in the PL. Of course it doesn't mean that he will be the same in this league too. In the end he was great in the Liga Portugal much earlier. But he isn't a great profile as for finishing the chances with goals right now. He wastes a lot of chances...

Especially now that stars like Salah have arrived. But his injury history is, of course, a major cause for concern. Fenerbahçe chairman Aziz Yıldırım is set to bring in a player who is chronically injured, has mentally given up on football, and from whom you can’t expect more than two or three matches a season – all in the name of claiming he’s signing a world-class star. With Muriç already in the squad, I think it would have been better to sign a young player who is hungry for success and keen to prove himself.
