Turkish Super League 2026/27 Season

Let's start the fire of the new season!

-The last champion is Galatasaray. They won the title 4 years in a row.
-New season there will be 18 teams competing in Super League.
-Fatih Karagümrük, Kayserispor and Antalyaspor are relegated.
-Erzurumspor FK, Amed SK and Çorum FK are promoted. Welcome the league!
-The league will start August 14. (1 week late than normal as there's World Cup in the Summer)

My vote for who will win the 2026/2027 season is Galatasaray again.


The reason isn't far-fetched. They were the best team last season even though it got messy in the end. But I've seen the performances of other title contenders and they're just not good enough to take the title from Galatasaray yet unless they do serious reinforcement soon or a miracle happens. Either way, Galatasaray will remain my selection for now.

Can't wait for leagues to resume. But we have the world cup to keep us entertained.

The season has just ended, but we can already start speculating about the new season. I believe Galatasaray will be champions again. They have a good squad, and after winning the championship, they will strengthen it again. They need significant reinforcements in areas where they are lacking, especially for the Champions League. I'm already curious to see what kind of transfers the other teams will make.

My vote for who will win the 2026/2027 season is Galatasaray again.

This will be determined by the quality of players that will leave the Galatasaray team and the ones who will join after their departure. Osimhen will likely be a high-priority target this summer for many clubs. Though we have not seen much interest from clubs, I am expecting that there will be news on it. If Osimhen leaves Galatasaray this summer, that will be a big loss for them. His fighting and resilient spirit made Galatasaray win the Turkish league again.

Osimhen will likely be a high-priority target this summer for many clubs. Though we have not seen much interest from clubs, I am expecting that there will be news on it. If Osimhen leaves Galatasaray this summer, that will be a big loss for them. His fighting and resilient spirit made Galatasaray win the Turkish league again.

I saw some transfer news about him the Nigerian coach, I didn't take it serious. Was that real?

My understanding is that his contributions are priceless to the Galatasaray current team and they would want him to continue staying, the club and the fans. If he goes this summer, there's a strong chance the quality of Galatasaray performance will drop significantly in the new season. All top clubs needs an aggressive striker like Oshimen but so far none has approached him yet.

Maybe Oshimen wants to push a move to be with a better team so he can win the UCL? His former colleague, Kvaratskhelia just won the UCL player of the season and Oshimen is only known in Turkish league.

With a new page and a new year, we will write a lot about this here. Hopefully, we can discuss Turkish football here in a season full of successes. Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, and Trabzonspor will again be championship contenders this year. The championship contenders can be discussed more clearly after the transfers, but right now I think Galatasaray has the advantage. With the newly promoted teams, the league will become even more exciting. Hopefully, we will have great tournaments in the Turkish Super League with teams that can achieve success in Europe.

I already voted for Galatasaray. No matter how hard the other teams try, it will be useless in my opinion. I say this because I highly doubt that the other teams will be able to make good signings; Galatasaray has managed to make good signings, they are like Bayern or PSG in their leagues. Let's look at the last 4 years:

22/23 season Galatasaray champion

23/24 season Galatasaray champion

24/25 season Galatasaray champion

25/26 season Galatasaray champion

That's 4 consecutive championships and they will manage to keep more than 60% of their best players from last season. I highly doubt Osimhen would leave Galatasaray. For a team to take him from Galatasaray, Galatasaray would undoubtedly demand much more money than they paid for him to get him from Napoli. Osimhen is an extremely important player for Galatasaray, he has a contract until 2029, it was difficult to get him from Napoli, so any club interested in him would have to pay a lot of money to take him from Galatasaray and I highly doubt that will happen.
