They won't be careful in the first place and that's because they have no prior knowledge to how the scams that are about to victimize them. But if they have little or basic knowledge about these scams, they're going to avoid them. So, that's one when they are not careful because they don't know how it works. And it is us who can take care better of our wallets and assets because we can hold the keys as we hold the wallets. Meanwhile, there goes those holders that still keep their funds in exchanges despite knowing how risky it is.
Cyber manipulation commonly leads to loss of money through technical naivety about the use of cryptographic data protection mechanism. Inability to acquire knowledge on how to handle confidential codes puts the bargaining powers of service users with corporations at a big disadvantage. Kept assets in externally controlled systems means that in the event of a wholesale regulatory failure worldwide, we are likely to lose the keys to an asset.
If that means the exchanges, we definitely have no keys on them if we have kept our funds on them. And that's why beforehand, we should hold it instead with our wallets where we're holding the keys. But if it's just a failure then they might correct it if it turns out that they're affected by that thing globally. The bigger problem is if they have been a victim of hacking, then more likely the funds of everyone is already gone on them.

Do not expect that scams will stop working just because bitcoin is no longer new. Unfortunately, scams will continue to happen and would be more likely increase in time. If bitcoiners make it a point to keep updated with the newest scammer's strategies, fraudsters on the other hand constantly evolve their tactics so that there will be continuous flow of income and guaranteed profits.

And honestly, as long as there are new to bitcoin, scammers will never stop scamming and will continue to create new tactics all throughout their existence.

~~~
The red flags have been discussed for years yet many people ignore them when they see promises of huge returns, greed often overrides caution. So in my opinion the biggest responsibility still lies with the user. Platform and regulators also have a role to play , because fake adds, fraudulent apps and impersonation accounts should be detected and removed more quickly, with AI making scams more convincing , it is very important to have the knowledge first. At the end of the day, technology may change, but most scams still succeed because they exploit human emotions like greed, fear even urgency.
 People that involves scams are also insider who knows more about Bitcoin, and they have taking there time to study areas where, why, how and when they fall victim to scammers in the Bitcoin environment, lack grounded understanding about Bitcoin can also give room to scammer to gain access for penetration. Carelessness, negligence are some other reason why people are scammed. Uncensored publicity of owning or trading Bitcoin can attract scammer.
Bitcoin isn't new, but many new people are entering Bitcoin every day. They aren't aware of this crypto industry or even aware of how they could be deceived. It's not about crypto only; if you enter any new industry, then you won't know how people are cheating there. In the crypto industry, it's the same; Bitcoin is old, but scammers often find new ways to scam people.
So gaining crypto knowledge is quite important for new people. Crypto just doesn't mean buy and sell. There are a lot of things there to learn, and everyone should have basic knowledge about it. Then they would realize how scammers are scamming us; the most important thing is to not become greedy. Most greedy people fall for scams.
That's true, bitcoin is something not new for us, but there are always new to bitcoin, new to its market volatility and uncertainty, and new on crypto scams. So while those who have been here earlier have already been informed about scammers and they are more cautious about it, the new ones are still in the exploration stage and are still highly prone to different crypto scams and are still blind to detect scammers hiding in each corner.
Bu there are always ways to prevent yourself from being scammed. Get familiarize on its details, and make sure to gain even the basic knowledge, and as you stay longer in the market, in the forum, you will learn more based on others experiences and based on your personal crypto experiences.
Did scams in general stop occuring? Nope, then why should cryptocurrency scams cease to exist? Scammers keep improvising and renew their tactics, there will always be people who're gullible enough to believe someone over the internet. More often than not, curiosity, greed, and ignorance lead us right into the trap without realizing. Just because Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general aren't a new trend anymore, doesn't mean that scams won't happen again. There will always be potential victims, whether they're cryptocurrency related or not.
Money has been in existence for a longtime but their is still scam people fall for that as to do with money and so as bitcoin too. Scammers are very smart they think of new scam to bring which people will fall for it . Don't think bitcoin scam will ever end, people will definitely fall for it because of ignorance.  People still fall for bank scam even with the number of years bank have been existing, this number of years doesn't prevent people to fall victim of scam.
Bitcoin is no longer new, and crypto scams have been around for years already. People should already know the basic red flags by now, like guaranteed profit, fake investment platforms, and strangers offering easy money.
But why are we still seeing reports of millions, even billions, lost to crypto scams?
Now with AI, scammers can create more convincing messages, fake profiles, fake voices, and even fake videos. So maybe scams are becoming harder to detect, or maybe people are still too careless when money and profit are involved.
So who is really lacking here? The users who still fall for these scams, the platforms that allow fake ads and fake apps, or the government for not doing enough?
Every bitcoin is ought to be responsible for their actions and holdings and I've been reading several cases of stolen  funds and investment scams and some times I even think most of the scam reported cases on qoura site aren't even real anymore because everyday, they are more than 1 case of investment scam without an actual recovery news.
No matter how old bitcoin gets, there would still be scam through it just as it is through local fiat and I think the issue of scam isn't just with bitcoin but the major reason why it is more alarming with bitcoin is because, these scammers understand the privacy associated with bitcoin and always want to use bitcoin as their best mode of payment to avoid being traced.
I don't think anyone should expect that cause scam is something that's existed before the introduction of Bitcoin, scammers just had to adopt it to their schemes since it involves money, although the authorities try their best to reduce it but it’s something that can't be eradicated permanently since some people would be ignorant to their new schemes.
 Many people are still very ignorant about Bitcoin and when they finally decide to go into it without basic understanding such people might end up being a scam victim. However even we that understands Bitcoin to an extent still have to be careful, we should be able to spot a scammer when we engage one online.
