Yes, it is from what I saw. Big teams playing in major tournaments usually make our pick more reliable because they're more likely to play at full strength meanwhile in smaller tournaments, there's a higher chance that they won't go all out or that they'll experiment with new strategies. We can use parlays and pick those big teams for potentially bigger rewards but the risk is also higher. Always going for the favorite and most famous team with the lowest odds is a guaranteed strategy to lose money, in my opinion... It if was so easy as it sounds, then there would be thousands or even millions of newbies who would be doing a living off their basic predictions by always going in favor of the favorite.
In reality, being consistent with one's bets and making a living of betting in sports is not going for the most obvious and stronger option, also requires abilities which most of newbie bettors do not have: bankroll management, discipline, analysis, risk management and also a very developed sense of gut feeling, so one can know when one is supposed to skip logic and go for underdogs, getting even more money thanks to high odds.

I'm not sure if he watches football leagues in the last 2 months, we say different pattern of football that we didn't see in the early time of the leagues. From what I experience, teams that do have well talented players do play well when the season start but as the season continue, the performance changes because one or two of their players becomes injured. The teams that doesn't have good beginning are the ones that will later step up and lead by win for weeks until they bounce back.

You still have a higher chance of winning when you pick big teams. Imagine picking Barcelona, Arsenal, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich to win in a slip , it can guarantee you 60-70% win rate compared to picking mid or smaller team. These big team are mostly competing for titles so winning is a  must them. Yes at times losses might come but it's not that much compared to when you pick Small or mid teams in your slip. Before someone decides to bet the  best they should do is look at their current form, Head to Head, injuries, home or away advantages. And we know that big teams has home advantages. I also experienced something like that, but if you think about it, betting on one big team consistently throughout the season might actually be profitable. Just think about it, betting on PSG for a simple 1x2 bet throughout the Ligue 1 season has a higher chance of winning. Or in leagues where we can actually see strong teams dominating. But maybe bettors are not comfortable and cannot do it consistently.

As I have noticed in the previous post, the probability is indeed very large and no one will argue with this because being in a big club will certainly make us feel safer and more comfortable because the possibility of winning is greater but it is not a guarantee of winning as in the title because in this case the increase in probability and the increase in victory will be different from the guarantee so that even if we are in a big club with odds of 1.01 even if we are unlucky we can lose the bet.  This shows that in gambling the situation is not measured only because of guarantees considering that there are no guarantees in gambling especially when we are only trying to find ways to win with existing probabilities so it is ridiculous to make this a form of belief as a guarantee of victory in gambling.
