Does picking big teams guarantee frequent win?

Gambling on big teams can be more advantageous to gamblers, and consequently make more wins than losses for instance, gambling on teams like man city, FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter Milan and Bayern Munich, These are top teams in the to European leagues, and they actually win most of their matches. However, they also drop points, and does not guarantee 100% winning.
These teams are usually not given big odds, but small odds like 1.26 or there about making bettors to combine their games with other teams with bigger odds.

So, does picking top teams guarantee frequent wins? What are your opinions on this?

Most of the times does and will illustrate this with an example from France Ligue 1 as most of the times when you choose Paris to win it will come true even when they play away where the odds are like 1.3 or 1.4 sometimes which is considered good for them. This though happens only here where there is huge difference with other teams so only in this league. There are also some other leagues like Portugal and a few others in eastern Europe where one or two teams dominate. Now this does not mean you will be in profit in the long run as one losing game can destroy your money assuming you bet a lot of money on these teams with low odds.

I also experienced something like that, but if you think about it, betting on one big team consistently throughout the season might actually be profitable. Just think about it, betting on PSG for a simple 1x2 bet throughout the Ligue 1 season has a higher chance of winning. Or in leagues where we can actually see strong teams dominating. But maybe bettors are not comfortable and cannot do it consistently.

I understand your point, and yes it is but you know when someone got disappointed when he there is a big hope for him to win the bet but suddenly you loss because the big team loss the match, now for that, for me to bet on that team in another match became a problem unless I know that the opponent team is a very weak team. Whether you pick only big team or not, it is what it is, you are not guarantee of a win, you can be accurate in your prediction but something can just happen to make you lose your bet, just like the recent match of arsenal and PSG, so many people (fans) who bet on the game were completely disappointed because they lost the game and their bet as well.
