Despite claims by the Kaduna State Government that it has made significant progress in tackling banditry, armed bandits on Friday night attacked a mosque in Unguwan Namama village, Giwa Local Government Area, killing one worshipper and abducting several others.

The rate at which these bandits are killing people is very uncalled for, these people who are dying on daily bases are innocent Nigerians. However I feel the federal government of Nigeria is not putting enough effort to ensure the security of Nigerians, because this is not what ordinary Nigerians can fight.

What can we do about this news? Absolutely nothing, and it pains me because I wish I were in a position to do something about it. If we complain on socila media and say things that are true, the government police will come for you. Ive been in that position before where I was messaged and warned. It is surprising that amidst this atrocities, there are people who do not care about whats going on. In fact they are in total support of the killing. My conclusion on this subject is that there are alliens on earth, because you cant tell me that these people are actually humans.

Honestly i don’t think there is much we can do about this and that is what hurts the most i wish I was in a position where i could actually make a difference.
The sad part is that even speaking up is not always easy i have  been warned before because of things i have posted online So people are not just dealing with the atrocities themselves they are also dealing with the fear of talking about them.

To me i feel it’s high time the Nigeria government take drastic steps and curb this menace, first Nigeria might need to inaugurate state police, so that the security of each state will be the responsibility of a particular section of the police within a particular jurisdiction/state, secondly all this rotation interstate grazing done by Fulani herdsmen should be stopped so as to checkmate things, this Fulani herdsmen use this cows as a ploy to access the security strength of areas, they also gather vital informations and smuggle arms secretly, then the government and citizens should stop politicizing the attacks like either inflating or reducing the figures of affected victims, also any of the terrorist caught should be immediately prosecuted alongside their sponsors, tribalism and godfatherism should be ruled out if actually they want things to work in regards to security in Nigeria. Sincerely if the government doesn’t stop the madness on time the entire country will be destroyed by this blood thirsty villains.

One is prompt to ask what's the actual cause of this insecurity in the country because it has gotten out of hand, I would have said out of control but the government has not made any steps to curb or manage the insecurity and one is left with no choice than to say it's being orchestrated by the government. Human lives are very important and should not be something the politicians should politicise and joke with, this is human beings for crying out loud. I think there are informants in the arm forces that leaks informations to the bandits and that has made the armed forces weak and can't empower them.

The president has come out to say that terrorists caught should be given amnesty and re-oriented into the society instead of prosecuting them, who in his right senses will say so?, if we truly want the killings to stop everyone in the country from local government to States should take the insecurity of his state very serious and work hand in hand with local vigilantes to end this insecurity issues.

It's such a pity that the poor citizens are the ones been affected more and not the elites of the country.  We have lost so much citizens due to the insecurity in the country and the government is not really doing anything to stop on even curb it, sometimes I really believe that this issue is more than what they are telling us, I strongly believe that the government knows how to solve this issue, but they are rather playing politics with it and don't want to step on ties, because I believe their are a lot of influential people involve in this act.

My major concern is how is this people recruiting fighters and what are they using motivate people to join them to kill people and grab their lands. Who is supplying them weapons and why hasn't the government stop it? If bandits could overrun military posts, barracks and behead military personnel without facing consequences,if they can do it to train military men then what is the hope for the common man?. Nigerian are fleeing their ancestral homes due to bandits attacks yet government is playing politics with it. I'm seeing sense in verydarkman and TY danjuma statements that we should defend ourselves because governments won't protect us from bandits attacks since this current government has made it obvious that they can't protect Nigerian,we should start to defend ourselves .

This clearly shows that nowhere is safe in this country, whether you are a Muslim or Christian. There is nothing like religion in this matter, these bandits are after everyone. I hope those who are claiming that everything behind the killings and kidnappings in the country is about Muslims will understand that these people are just ruling us as they like. They don’t care about your religion, if you fail to comply with them or pay the ransom they are demanding, they will kill innocent people.

I was shocked when I saw a news report that a teacher and a student was killed after their family paid a ransom of 3 million naira. Our government will not do anything about this. Tinubu claims they are doing this to ruin his regime, but if he believes he has nothing to do with it, then he should do something to stop them so we can live in a peaceful and respectful society.
