Let settle this score once and for all which of this wallets has a lowest fee.
Doing my research and I was Going through a recent settings, fee policy of the  three poplar non custodial wallet wea Nigerian use for some little BTC.

Target na just small money from 5k to 20k worth of Bitcoin in Naira. Sending a huge amount all this three go work well.

1.BlueWallet
Onchain fees:The interesting part you have to choose either slow, medium, fast or even custom sat/vB. It use a dynamic fee.
Lightning:This one it already buit in. it allows you in the sense that you can even open a channel with zero conf and even custodial LN for just small money.
Min send: This one get dust limit but no fixed limit.
Backup: This has no cloud backup. Had 12/24 word seed phrase.
Best for: The best go for those who want both on-chain and lightning for small funds.

2.Electrum
Onchain fees:This allows you to set exact say/vB. It also manual fee control. And it mostly flexibility for fee cutting.
Lightning : This available but one need to enable it manually. This not mostly smooth for beginners compare to BlueWallet.
Min send : it also has a same dust rule, but it fee control is better.
Backup: It has 12 word seed phrase. It allows the export of private keys also.
Best for: Those who love and knows how to do all this tech

3.Muun
Onchain fees: This one is automatic, no need for manual fee setting it already done. And for batch and Lightning, the Wallet decide for when to batch and when to use Lightning.
Lightning: Most of the payment goes through Lightning if he Dey possible. This one na automatic hybrid.
Min send: Because of batching he get higher minimum for onchain. For Lighting a little sum of money is okey.
Backup :This requires email and ur seed phrase. With no stress, but most Individual no really like that email part of a thing.
Best for: Those who don’t want to stress about fee.

My Observation so far
1.If one knows how to set sat/vB and wants a cheap fee. Electrum is for you.
2.In a situation you want Lightning for a little payment with no stress. BlueWallet it best for it will balance it for you.
3.In a situation we’re u don’t want to think no stress u just want to send. Muun is active for you, but there are some controls that u are going to lose.

Question for my OGs in the house
1.Which among this three are u guys using for small BTC transaction now.
2.Is there any wallet am missing that sweet for transaction of 5k to 20k range im Naira ?
3.Those manual fee control matters currently or Auto

Let this thread be a reference for wallet choice this period. Let share idea and our experience.

Electrum is better than all the non-custodial wallets you mentioned. I don't know about Muum, but for BlueWallet and Electrum I know the difference and reason why Electrum is better based on the fee aspect.

Electrum allows more flexibility on fee control, while BlueWallet keeps it simple for miners to pick up the transaction ASAP.

Also keep in mind, just because you can make the fee control more flexible with Electrum, probably way less than 1 sat/vByte does not mean miners will include the transaction in their block as long the fee doesn't suits them, miners will always prioritize transaction with higher fees, for that reason it is best to keep the fee well moderate than way below when it will be overlooked by miners.

Wallet Fee Comparison 2026: BlueWallet VS Electrum vs Muum for small BTC in Naij
You mean Muun wallet. You can edit the title of your topic.

No need to compare the fee, there is no useful reason of comparing it. The best is to use a noncustodial wallet that has fee customization. Make use of the mempool or a site that has mempool to know the right fee that you can use.

I prefer this which is more accurate:
https://jochen-hoenicke.de/queue/#BTC,24h,weight

For beginners: https://mempool.space/

Is Muun wallet now supporting RBF?

The last time that I looked for it on the wallet, it was not there. Is it there now? Not supporting RBF has been the reason I can not recommend the wallet. Although, it is a good open source noncustodial wallet.

Electrum beats them all because it is an open source wallet that is trusted by millions. Well, I use Bluewallet because it has been the basic wallet for so long. The transactions are smooth with bluewallet, it has a simple interface and fees can be adjusted during transaction delays. Many members in the forum will value Electrum over the rest but for me, I will stick to bluewallet. It is all personal preference though. Try them all and see which you prefer to use.

Thanks for the question sir. The last time I checked in Muun, RBF it not there and  now I just checked in again to confirm and it still didn’t show RBF for pending transactions.
This was one of the reason I list out Electrum as best for fee cutting.

For Lightning and non stress users then Muun dey good for them. But of that of Onchain and stuck to Electrum go win.

Electrum beats them all because it is an open source wallet that is trusted by millions.
The other two wallets are also open source and trusted by millions. Just on Play store alone, Bluewallet has 1M+ downloads. There are still other wallets like Sparrow that has not been mentioned on this thread which I think is second to Electrum if comparing desktop wallets, but it does not have a mobile wallet.

Both of them are very good and are all recommended in this forum.
They are both open source wallets and also have similar features which make them highly recommend in this forum for long term Bitcoin holders.

Talking about trust; both of these wallet have been used by several forum members, and they have good review about them that’s why they always recommend using them.
I don’t know of Muun wallet because I haven’t used it before and I have not seen a lot of recommendations about the wallet here in the forum.

Let me try my possible best to answer some of your questions with my little experience.

1. I use electron wallet and I also use the wallet, but as long as the wallet you are considering for using is a non-custodial wallet, whereby you can have the opportunity to customize your transaction fee and wouldn't make a transaction that is lesser than $1, most advisably we should try to make a transaction that is within the range of $5 and above and not that we perform a dust transaction.

2. Any wallet should be able to do that for you, also long as they are non custodial and support RBF

Bitcoin Core
Passport
Electrum
Sparrow Bluewallet

I am posting the wallet above to also serve a reference on wallet that are non-costodial

@Solodoski you are right on point about Electrum being trusted by millions of users. Thank you for adding up Sparrow haven’t tried desktop wallet. But do u think Sparrow will be suitable for this small ₦5k to ₦20k transactions or it for a huge amount of?

I don’t know of Muun wallet because I haven’t used it before and I have not seen a lot of recommendations about the wallet here in the forum.
@Abu-Naim nice opinion. I really come out to love BlueWallet interface, it really simple this y it sweet for beginners. I heard that it also allows fee adjustment if delay Dey.
And again u said u haven’t try Muun before, you can try and check it out someday and see if the auto fee suit you or you prefer that of BlueWallet wea be manual.

@Bitcoin-Forever I love your motive, thanks for answering my question.
If not mistaken i think Passport and Sparrow na hardware/desktop wallet bah ? And again for this little funds do we think it practice to use this hardware wallet or our mobile wallet it better for this purpose small range of funds ?

Passport and Sparrow na hardware/desktop wallets right? For ₦5k-₦20k small money, una think e dey practical to use hardware wallet or mobile wallet still dey better for that range?

For beginners and semi-advanced users, blue wallet is the best overall and has the best efficiency lightning they want and can get fully from it. Electrum wallets are mostly used by OG’s in the crypto space and for long term holders of cryptocurrencies. When you understand how to play around with its settings, you can manually set fees and also help you to get the cheapest fees available during transactions. Both of them are good, but blue wallet is more beginner friendly than electrum.

On point sir. BlueWallet is a nice place to start from, then with process when user don learn fee control finish, knowing the in and out before one we graduate to Electrum cheap sat/vB

The part wea you talk say understand how to play around with settings. This na very important thing to know, I find out that allot of newbies are scare of Electrum because he Dey technical. But once you learn it and know the in abd out you find out tge reason why them OGs they use am for long term.

I really appreciate this ur insight, this will be of great help for newbies
